Ileana (Jr.) gives amazing haircuts as well. She listens to what you want and also gives her professional suggestions. Walking into the salon, you can't help but love the modern feel. It is meticulously clean and organized. Salon Christophe plays the best music too- relaxing, but upbeat and positive. The staff is very warm and welcoming. My first visit to a salon in two years, since I've moved to Florida. I was greeted by Jr. The owners daughter. So very nice!! I explained I was nervous and have a very sick husband, this was supposed to be a big treat for me. I read all the other reviews and was looking forward to a great experience. Unfortunately for me, I was paired with tech that had very little experience. My relaxing "me" time consisted of my color application took well over an hour. The client next to me had the same process and was finished and out the door before my last foil was in. The absolute worse part was the hair washing. The scrubbing and hair pulling after having chemicals on my head for way too long! My toes were curling!! I let her finish a quick trim and ran out without a blowout. My scalp hurt too much. I'm sure I would of had a wonderful experience had I been listened to and been paired with a seasoned tech. I am a regular here because I need professional blowouts - my natural hair is dry, curly and frizzy which does not translate well on camera or on stage when I am speaking. I love the staff here because I can come in last minute as a walk-in when I get a last minute call for an appearance. Between the blowout and products they use my hair looks great for 3-5 days. They go out of their way to come in early morning or open the salon on Sunday when I had big appearances. I had an appointment on May 13, 2021 with Ileana Debler and showed her a picture from her catalog how I wanted my hair colored, roots and highlights! I explained to eliminate some of the gold and told her about my experience at a hair show that was horrible. They cut my hair turned me around in the chair so I couldn't see the mirror and they cut 5" as I saw it fall to the floor. She asked me about the cut, I said a trim, with a few layers. When I saw the root color number 5 I said, hello? My roots are dark blonde not dark brown. She proceeded to talk about everything and ignored that I didn't want dark roots. Then she highlighted my hair, with any hair not pulled with the foil she used number 5 therefore my hair was turning into the darkest brown ever! I was livid she could tell I wasn't happy, then she started to cut, not trim my hair! I have beautiful blonde hair down down below shoulder length. I never brag about myself, when I say beautiful I mean, not damaged at all from my brother whom normally is my hairdresser just couldn't get me in and I wanted my roots colored and highlighted because I had a wedding that weekend. As I am witnessing her taking 5 inches from my hair I'm furious! I became silent, I'm stunned! I couldn't believe what she was doing! As I could no longer compose myself, she's drying my hair and when she's down I told her I did not ask for a hair cut nor brown hair. You could not even see the highlights! I looked mousey and horrible! I hated it! She knew it and then proceeded to charge me 300.00 and would not even consider just charging me less. I could not believe what she did. It was the worse experience I've ever had and would never step foot in this salon again. She called me for a redo but I told her I could not ever have her touch my hair again. I should have run out when I saw the condition of her hair, frizzy, terrible cut green and purple! If you want to look worse than when you come in, I highly recommend her! Thank God I kept another appointment the following day and thanks to the girl in Clermont she was able to highlight my hair. She could not believe what this so called owner did to my hair. She couldn't see any highlights and had to highlight my hair again! When I had my beautiful long hair I didnt have to even blow dry it. I air dried gathered on top of my head and wore it up while sleeping and it was just perfect the following day. Now with this mess and length I have to style it and I would rather not! Stay clear of Iileana if you want your hair to look the way you ask! I think I was her Guinea pig or she took out her frustrations on me! read more

Update - make sure you take the picture of what you want on your follow up visit. I returned about 6 weeks after my first awesome cut for a slight trim to keep the shape. I don't think she remembered the first cut and I ended up with a cut way too short for my taste. I decided to go back a few weeks later just for highlights. Again, I didn't have a picture of what I wanted and ended up with way too much volume of highlights than what I wanted. Previously I've highlighted my hair myself using a kit from Sally's and I can say that I could tell there was definitely a difference in the feel of my hair. Her quality product did not leave my hair feeling dry like the home kit. Overall I'd say this is still a great salon and Ileana is a great stylist. As soon as I have a picture of the cut AND color that I want I will go back. In all fairness I'm sure if I had gone back to her after the highlighting I'm sure she would have worked with me but I decided to try a few other places instead. I have been coming here for over a year and my stylist, Illeana Jr. does such a fantastic job I would recommend her to anyone. Illeana is very experienced and takes her time to make sure she understands what you want done. She doesn't rush through like a lot of places and makes sure your hair cut looks great and that you are satisfied before you leave. The hair wash and scalp/neck/shoulder massage is the best part of coming here! I also really like how they have decorated the place. I came in to cut and donate my hair . I also scheduled highlights and blow drying. I spent almost 4 hours but was very pleased with the end result. Guadalupe took care of me and she was professional and took time to understand what I wanted. It was expensive since I've never done all this before . To specify: I'm giving the Salon a 1 star review. I give my stylist there a 5 star review. I started seeing Jim at Salon Christophe at the beginning of 2014. I absolutely LOVED him. He knows how to color hair - and understands the needs of his clients. When he called and told me he was moving salons, I wasn't disappointed and planned to follow him to his new salon. However, I lost the paper where I wrote down the salon name. I went in today to Salon Christophe to see where he went, as I need a funky coloring before I move cross country. The owner refused to tell me, claiming she didn't know where he moved. I specifically remember Jim telling me that he told the owner where he was moving to, but the owner continued to deny it. When I asked her if any of the other stylists would know, she claimed all of her stylists are new (Jim only left maybe 5 months ago). I was appalled to see the owner would lie to my face like that. Also, the fact that she's had to hire ALL new stylists in the past 5 months also says something about the way she runs her business. It gave me a better reason as to why Jim also left. I would understand a tad bit more if she was trying to get me to try a new stylist at her salon, as it would be a business tactic on her part, however she didn't try to get me to stay. She refused to tell me out of pure bitterness towards Jim, and I feel that is no fair way to treat a client or to run a business. After leaving, I remembered that an establishment in the same plaza was the one to recommend me to Jim in the first place. I went in and the lady was able to tell me his new salon, and gave me the contact info for him. When I explained that I tried asking the Salon where he went, she laughed and said "Yeah she [the owner] won't tell you." I guess I'm not the first to run into problems with the owner. I highly recommend Jim to anyone looking for a great coloring. Salon Christophe is shady and slowly going under. If you're looking for him, he's now at Cavallo Salon off Turkey Lake Rd. PLEASE don't encourage this woman's shady business tactics any longer - find somewhere else. read more

My cut and color are always top-notch and the end result always far surpasses my expectations. Whether you want something wild or mild, Illeana and her crew can accommodate any style. I went in maybe a little over a month ago for a curly perm. Yolanda was the sweetest lady. I have had two perms done (including this one), first visit at a different salon was incredibly disappointing and fell flat after a couple of washes. I explained this to Yolanda and Salon Christophe, and she gave me an entirely different experience. The process wasn't as long as my first perm, she was super friendly, and she did an AMAZING job! My hair is very thick and a lot to handle, but she handled it like the pro that she is! I left there so confident, and I can proudly say that it is still beautiful and looks amazing! Lupita takes care of my family here and we've been going there for years. I get the best eyebrow shaping and wax there and she really pays attention to what the client wants. Her cuts are great for both men and women. The blow drys give me great volume and I use her for up dos and special events. Highly recommend her! I was charged $70 just for color hair. I was charged extra for blow dry where as other salons include shampoo and blow dry in hair color prices. She charged me $39.99 for toner which was outrageous. I have never been charged this much for toner in other salons. She turned my hair black and I had to use other products to get my highlights back. Please do not go to this salon. read more

My first time at this salon. I made the appointment with Ileana and was so pleased with the result! She spent a lot of time talking to me about my vision and how I usually style my hair. Her precision cut was the best I've had in years. After getting "scalped" 9 months ago at a high end salon, I was really nervous to get another cut. DO NOT GO HERE!! I came here over xmas break from out of town for a gloss and blow out...the most simple procedure which takes me only an hour anywhere else I have been. I was in the salon for 3 hours! After I finished the blow out I put my hands through my hair and chunks of it began to fall out and I noticed they were singed together at the roots. MY HAIR WAS BURNT OFF OF MY HEAD!! LUPITA was my stylist and applied so much heat to my hair that it fell off. I was in tears and instead of offering to help or make me feel better they tried to blame me and tell me my hair was in bad condition, I have extremely healthy hair. I am mortified by the horrible customer service as well as the amount of hair I lost. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place and I hope to warn other girls incase something like this happens to them, not to mention for the price they charge I could have gone to a 5 star salon like Prive not to far away...now I know for next time.
