Yikes, definitely saddened about my current experience since I've always had such a great…read moreinteraction with the team. I called trying to get an appointment with the front desk and I noticed the receptionist seemed annoyed when I provided the proper spelling of my last name. I blew it off because we all have those days but when it came to scheduling an appointment, there was no help. She asked what's a good day and I said any Friday, her response was we're closed this Friday and stayed quiet. I asked again, is there another Friday that you have available? She said next Friday at 12pm which was perfect because it's my lunch hour. So we went with that date. I said, "ok. that works let me log it into my calendar (which took seconds)" and the call hung up. I thought the call dropped... So, I called back and was transferred back to her. That's when I asked, who I was speaking with and when she said Destiny, I was like oh my gosh, It's my girl! So, I felt comfortable saying "OMG Destiny, it's me. what's going on? Are you okay? what happened" She was still in this disconnected customer service script and responded with, "I'm fine. I hung up because I didn't hear anything." Take in mind, I informed her to hold on, and it took all but 3 seconds to type it into my calendar. When I informed her that I wanted to schedule my other 2 kids her response was, "well. I didn't hear anything" again her sass was on a whole other level. I informed her that I would call back later and that I didn't feel comfortable. Her response was again condescending, and I told her that her approach was making me sad and that I wanted to cancel. "She said okay thank you bye." - not a care in the world. For the $1500 that I usually spend every year. I'd rather take my business elsewhere. I'm really sad about this because my son and I loved our Dr but I'm not okay with getting talked down to like that. On the hunt for something new

I never knew you could feel a bait and switch going to a doctor, but we sure did! Called to inquire…read moreabout co-pay while debating between visiting them and visiting Costco and wanted to confirm that it would in fact just be a better idea to establish as a patient at a doctors office but clarified that we needed a contact lens fitting. Came in and verified insurance, had exam, and all of a sudden, as we're ready to leave, they asked for almost $400 more than what I was told on the phone as my co-pay PLUS an additional $45 for a "contact lense training" for a new wearer. Mind you, ALL of what they did, the exam, eyeglass script, and lense fitting (with new contact lenses wearer), would have been $120 each at Costco WITHOUT insurance. They literally LIED to me to guilt me to pay SOMETHING saying they could lose their license if I did not pay for service rendered or if they gave a discount. Not to mention, they were running late and the entire visit lasted longer than a typical Costco visit. What a waste of time and now I have to keep my fingers crossed that I can take my vision benefits to Costco in order to get a contact lens fitting without having to pay twice. Better frame selection at Costco and Eyeglass world as well as other shops.

I visited, rcvd my eye exam, & ordered new glasses on April 23, 2025 The time it took to receive my new lenses was longer than any vision outfit I've ever dealt with...over two weeks, & I'm 75 yrs old! When they arrived my regular lense glasses were fine. My sunglasses were a disaster. A small sliver of the lens just above the bifocal was accurate. The entire top half of the lens was out of focus. The bifocal was so low I had to tilt my head back to even use them. That was two weeks ago. It is June 2, 2025 as of this writing. I called AECC this morning for the status of my reconfigured sunglasses. The CSR could not even tell me if or when they'd be shipped! This is by far the worst new glasses purchase I've ever had. Who knows when I'll have my new sunglasses...properly made? I really loved the staff & the opthalmologist. This review pains me.

America's Best Eyeglasses - 35th Ave & Thunderbird Location…read more We initially visited the Christown America's Best location and had a very disappointing experience. We let them know from the beginning that we had a coupon we were using. An eye exam was performed and glasses were chosen but when we went to pay they said they wouldn't accept it. The staff there was inattentive, unhelpful, and poorly communicative, which left us frustrated and unhappy. We were especially disappointed with how the situation was handled, and we left feeling like our time had been wasted. Thankfully, we were then sent to the 43rd Avenue & Thunderbird location, and the experience was completely different -- truly night and day. Arian and Charlene were absolutely outstanding. From the moment we walked in, they were welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely kind. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. We actually had a great time picking out glasses and chatting with them -- something we never expected after how upset we were from the first visit. Their professionalism, patience, and positive attitudes completely turned the situation around and restored our confidence in America's Best. This location shows what excellent customer service really looks like. If you're considering America's Best, skip Christown and go straight to the 35th & Thunderbird location -- and if you can, ask for Arian and Charlene. We will absolutely return to this location and recommend them to others. & Thunderbird Location.

I wanted to have an older pair of Ray-ban (2015?) frames have new lenses put in and the options were extremely limited. The process was also a bit confusing. The man who works here is incredibly nice, but he kept searching for certain polarizing lenses/colors and reading them out loud to me. And when I said "yes I like that one" he would go to select it and would say like "no, can't do that it's not available". Which I understand. But at the same time, I spent longer standing there and had to go thru all the options first before he even knew if they were available for this frame which was quite a disappointment. I had a special request to ship them to my home which he was more than happy to do (I paid extra for shipping) and it took a normal amount of time before they were ready. However he "mailed them to the wrong address". Not sure exactly what that meant. But in a couple days after I called to ask about where they were, they were delivered to me. I can only speculate if they were not shipped and he lied about it, or if he did ship them somewhere else but was able to retrieve them. Either way, it was not great. But I did get them in the end. So they were delayed and didn't get here in time for the birthday gift I was ordering. But again, I got them. All in all, it's an okay way to have your glasses repaired. But in truth, this experience was not great. And wasn't exactly cheap either. So I'm on the fence about recommending it to others.
