Very nice bookstore in Central Calistoga. Not an enormous place, but decent selection. I love the smell, printing paper.

Copperfid's is a true local book store with an amazing selection of books and extras; like journals, notepads, etc... The staff was helpful and attentive. It's nice to find book stores that also encourage, support and host local authors. I visited this store 2 days in a row and both visits. Exceeded my expectations. Check is out the next time you are in Calistoga.

    Great book displays.

Quite a unique store. So many items have gemstones! I chose one of many types of VitaJuwel vial wands that fits inside a specially-designed water decanter. The vial charges your water with the gems' qualities to enhance your wellness. The vials are hand-blown glass by artisans from Bohemia. Each vial has different qualities depending on the gems inside. There are 12 sets of gemstones. For instance, the Forever Young vial for the decanter includes green aventurine, blue aquamarine, brown smoky quartz, and clear quartz for qualities including detoxification, cleansing, stress relief, and serenity. There are also gem-infused candles. The soap or hand sanitizer dispensers and glass water bottles also contain gemstones. The gemstone lamps are a must-see--I saw one of purple, green, and white fluorite. The magick book I purchased there by local Tenae Stewart is an interesting page-turner. I also got a beautiful stone plate that was actually carved around an ancient ammonite. The spiritual qualities of these fossils include circulating energy to relive trauma, enhancing stability, deepening meditation, and balancing the body, mind, and spirit. They're from the Cretaceous period estimated around 146-66 million years ago. There's a sitting area with beautiful, large windows to let in natural light and standing bar for wine tastings. I described the type of wines I enjoy and Carly chose the amazing 2019 Picayune Padlock--a Napa Bordeaux Blend wine of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, and 18% Cabernet Franc. It was absolutely exquisite. Its nose is blackberries, chocolate, and autumn spices. The flavor is well-balanced with a lingering finish of blackberries, plums, and peppercorns. Very drinkable without food. Carly mentioned that this particular wine is even included on the menu at the prestigious French Laundry restaurant. I asked about the great stories are behind the key logo and the name Picayune.

*ATTENTION - PLEASE READ* ~ D O NOT SHOP HERE…read more ~ I would give 0 stars if it was an option. This boutique along with West of Poppy (under the same ownership) are RACIST and highly discriminatory against POC. I have never felt more degraded, embarrassed, disrespected or singled-out in any of my shopping experiences (which are MANY). I came here excited to spend money on clothes and gifts for friends. I was harassed throughout the entire experience and more or less assaulted when a young and clearly undertrained employee literally grabbed a pair of earrings out of my hand after I told her I was buying them and wanted to keep them along with the handful of other items I was purchasing. I tried to tough out this uncomfortable/scary experience knowing I was about ready for check out. I expressed to the un-trained employee how uncomfortable, unpleasant, and UNPROFESSIONAL that kind of behavior is. She replied by blaming it on the amount of thefts they have and I understood that completely, but there where a handful of other Caucasian people who were barely Acknowledged. Nothing can excuse this business from the situation, I was 100% singled out. I made it back to my car and broke down. I decided that no matter how much I liked my purchases ($300+ merchandise), my heavy heart and mind could not support a business who operates in such unprofessional, outdated and prejudice manner. It is 2021, Rove Boutique and West of Poppy, get with the program. You should be ASHAMED considering all Of the current social issues/injustices we experience Aw as a country today. I returned all items and took A video of The experience for my safety and to publicize and create awareness around this issue. Lastly, In addition to that, the manner in which they dealt with the situation was not only pathetic, but they completely self victimized themselves. *will update this review shortly* I WILL NOT AND CAN NOT TOLERATE ATROCITIES LIKE THESE OVER SKIN COLOR I will do everything in my power to publicize my personal experience through utilizing my freedom of speech. I returned the items and made it very very clear that I wouldn't be returning because I do not support how they treat others. DISGUSTING AND BEYOND SHAMEFUL.

There were a lot of home goods available such as furniture, candles, lotions, tables, couches, etc. I had the pleasure of meeting Maren, the store owner. She was such a spectacularly sweet person. It was my first time visiting the Calistoga area, and Maren made my day with her kind personality. I truly enjoyed our conversation, especially with her recommendations for local restaurants/food. I also learned that Accompli has been opened since 2008 in Denver, Colorado. However, the business finally came out to Calistoga around August 2023. After exploring the store, I decided to purchase two lotions. The scents were Sweet Almond and Wild Rose. The price point was great! Here, you can come across relics that can be a couple centuries old while you never know what you'll come across. Located directly in the heart of downtown Calistoga on Lincoln Ave and right off of Highway 128, "Rags to Riches" has been serving the Calistoga community dating back to 2018. I came here on a whim as I was window shopping through the town. The exterior looks like it was once a large home that got converted into this small business. The exterior porch area has a deck complete with vintage chairs and even an antique wood burning stove that looked as if it was from the early 1900's. In addition to that, I had a chance to meet the owner Gary as he was very welcoming and accommodating. Once inside, there were quite a few different rooms that had so many antique items available. Since I am a huge fan of vinyl music, I was very impressed by the amount of records that were on display here. This included all genres as far back as the 1930's up to around the 1970's. In addition, I was also able to spot vintage phonographs and even reel-to-reel players. Even all of the radios were restored to perfect working order. Some of the other items that I came across were vintage mugs, ashtrays, a typewriter, books, pictures, lamps, chairs, furniture, and so many more knick-knacks that are from a bygone era. Keep in mind that they are closed on Tuesday & Wednesday but they are open 5 days a week from Thursday through Monday in between the hours of 11am-6pm. With the selection, location, and overall prices of everything, I am giving "Rags to Riches" a respectable four-star rating.
