Beds are old and falling apart and they really do not do a very good job of getting you even a little bit of color. There is little to no ambiance, and it doesn't seem to be very clean. The towels are very hard and worn out. There are no pillows/ cushions for your head on the lay down beds. Glow Tanning Salon is right down the street and is a thousand times better, plus they have better deals... do yourself a favor and go there. read more

I've been coming here for the lay down tanning beds for about a year now and haven't had much issue until recently. The new manager is incredibly rude and talks to you like your a child. Every time I go in he ridicules me for not buying a new product. I am a grown women and do not need someone talking to me in a condescending tone every time I go get tanned. I am relieved every time I walk in and it's another employee working. I have a few friends who also used to go here and we have all decided to now go to a new salon down the street. The employees are very nice. However, 3 out of 3 times I have been there the tanning bed has been dirty - smudges on bottom, top, & shoulder tanner (gross). Also 2 out of the 3 times they set the bed timer for longer than asked for. This last time actually burned me, I asked for 8 minutes and was giving 12. Big difference when you start back up tanning. Terrible woman working there, girl in the picture actually. Not sure how long she's worked there but wow so nasty. I told her I want UV beds, she charges me for spray tan and then gets extremely nasty with a bad attitude because SHE made a mistake. I told her that it was expensive for the amount of mins they offer in the beds. So i asked to please refund me and yet again a nasty attitude. Then she claimed she didn't know how to use the machine to refund. I asked her if I could help her because I've worked with Merchant credit card machines for many years. I have been going to this place for 9 years, when Brittany was the manager. At that time the place was nice, and employess were a pleasure to speak with. This place is now disgusting. The wooden floors which were replaced roughly two years ago, have all come up, and are actually a danger for someone tripping and falling which I let the manager know who is extremely young a long time ago, and still nothing has been done, a perfect law suit. The beds are as old as when I started, and the tanning rooms look like they haven't been vacumed in years, truly disgusting. Management obviously does not care about the filthy condition. On top of which, there is something wrong with the beds,meaning the bulbs are rarely changed, and many times there are up to three bulbs out at one time, and the same bed will be down for at least a week. The place is run by very young teenagers, who honestly should not be in that position. In the 9 years I have been going here, they must have gone through 400 people. The absolute best tanning salon I've ever been to! The customer service is unbeatable, all the employees are so down to earth, friendly, and willing to help you achieve the tan you want. I mainly use their spray booth which is out of this world(I've been spray tanning for about 7 years and have yet to find another salon that consistently gives me flawless results like their booth does)! I've also noticed how they constantly are offering the latest products (IE lotions, spray solutions, and equipment). Michelle in corporate is a disgrace to the whole company. I was involved in a terrible car accident and broke three bones in my neck. The first thing I did after my accident was call to freeze my CrossFit membership and my tanning membership. Michele charged me two months later for $98. My membership is $40 a month so I don't see where they came up with that number even if they were charging for two months. Mind you, I have not visited Copper Tan in two months. When I asked her to provide a refund she said that the store employees never submitted a freeze form to her. She refused to give me a refund and was extremely rude. I will never visit Copper Tan again. It is not my fault that she never received a freeze form from the store employees. I am a consumer, I should not have to keep tabs on something that the business should have been proactive in doing. I strongly suggest you do not visit any Copper Tan location due to Michelle's despicable way of doing business. read more

I went to this tanning salon for a year and a half, I had a subscription for the spray tanning booth. This location only has one spray tan booth and over the last three months of my membership, The spray tan booth was broken three times. Each time I went in when it was broken they gave me $10 and lotion credit. This credit is of no use to me since I do not use the sun tanning booths. I have no idea how their sun tanning beds are but if you are spray tanning, there are many other options in the area that have better booths and more booths. In addition they have a convoluted check in process. Believe it or not, do you have to give your name, your four digit pin and a scan of your fingerprint to tan. This ridiculously redundant process creates a3-4 person lines when you want to tan. So, in short, do not bother going here for a spray tan. read more

Place is so terrible!!!. They will steal your money. I suggest finding a better place! I paid for a year in full in cash and then suddenly started getting charged monthly again. I spoke with them they said they would contact corporate and see what to do. In the meantime I CANCELLED so that I would receive no charges. A few weeks later out of nowhere i was charged $206.00!!! This is a horrible place with the most rude receptionist. I was a member about six years ago and cancelled my membership after one year because I did not use it often. Since then I have used it about four times on a pay as I go basis. Today I went into the salon to have a tanning and the receptionist told me I owed $46 from 2016 and had no other information or explanation. She was most rude and could not provide me any other additional information . She said there was no one else for me to call to call or any billing number. NEVER TAN HERE!!! They will rip you OFF!!! Disgusting customer experience from the inconsistent, incompetent management at the Delray Store to the Disgusting bathrooms and spray tanning booth. I have tanned with company for years!!! I paid for a celebrity package and maybe tanned twice monthly. It was close to my house, easy. My family decided to take a trip to Italy so I froze my account. On 2 separate occasions I went over with the girls at the front desk. Stating I wanted my account placed on hold for the month of Feb and moving forward. Today I was billed randomly for $181. I proceeded to call the stores in Delray an Boynton to let them know the error that had been made. They basically told me I could email corporate. It's not about the $181. It baffles me how as a great customer for years and someone who was very clear about putting my account on hold on several different accounts is being taken advantage of because they have my banking information on file. This place looks fun and exciting. I just moved here and needed a tanning salon i can feel comfortable at. This would not be the place. I asked about specials and the girl didn't know what specials there were. nor did she know what lotion specials there were. I was not shown how to use the bed my first time, or shown around the place. No music was playing so it was very awkward listening to the girl talk to her friends on the phone and the vacume running. I went in another time and was put in a bed that was broken down, so hot i couldn't put my arms down and the radio had no reception. the table was very dusty and dirty. i can find a better one at the dollar store. my suggestion. get music thru out the place. more energetic employees. suggest products for customers and offer a tour and what bed is what. you have to spend a little money to make a little money. from what i see there is not much traffic coming in the place. read more

i was billed incorrectly after i cancelled my membership.then was charged an extra $20 for the month. i went into copper tan delray beach on January 30th 2019 at 2:30 pm to cancel my membership since it is corporate rules you have to come in and sign. so i did just that. the contract states give 30 days to cancel so i was charged again on February 4th (which is correct). February was supposed to be the last month i was charged but was not. i was charged again on March 3 in the amount of $80.24. i called copper tan and the manager Sydney said she will contact corporate. i have yet to hear back from her or corporate. i have called corporate and emailed numerous times with no response. i questioned Sydney as to why i was charged $80.24 and why i was charged for the month of March. her response was they just switched over to a new system so they are charging their customers a "new system charge" that is why the amount was $80.24 instead of $60 and i was charged incorrectly for the month of march because undergoing a new system the person who had me sign the cancellation contract did not move it to the new system so i was billed again. Sydney did tell me she say my cancellation contract and told me the exact date and time which i provided above but is not able to give me tangible evidence of my contract. read more
