We arrived at around 6:30 and the place was pretty much packed. (It's a much, much smaller joint than I would've thought.) We did manage to snag a sweet table by the window, but then we were informed that an acoustic musician would be setting up shop right behind us at 7:00. I figured we probably wouldn't last too long once he started performing, so we decided to just share an order of the Sausage Rolls ("honey mustard sauce"). They arrived to the table impressively fast and sure looked great. They tasted great, too. I might even go so far as to say they're among the best Sausage Rolls I've ever eaten. The sausage is really tasty and flavorful, while the pastry around them is just as good. The zesty honey mustard perfectly complements them, too. I really enjoyed my brief visit to the Henry VIII Ale House, and I look forward to returning at some point in the future.

And judging by the fact that it was packed with people waiting for tables, we weren't the only ones who thought so. There was a woman eating wings at the end of the bar ... they looked good! A guy had a bison burger next to us and it was HUGE! If we are in that 'hood, we'll definitely stop in again, especially for a meal.

The food is consistently excellent, the staff are welcoming and attentive, and every visit feels a little special. One of the things I love most about this restaurant is the setting. Nestled along the Credit River, the atmosphere is peaceful, scenic, and uniquely local. Whether you're enjoying a quiet dinner or celebrating a milestone with family and friends, it's hard to beat the charm of this location. While I've never personally attended a wedding here, I've seen several weddings hosted at the property over the years, and they have all looked absolutely stunning. The natural beauty of the grounds and riverside setting create an incredible backdrop for special events. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in the Halton Hills area, The Terra Cotta Inn is well worth a visit.

Would do well with some updates and elevations to bring a sense of modernity to the table. The building is lovely, however, and I can appreciate the antique design that captures the old-time charm of the restaurant. Fitting for a casual lunch or a more formal dinner. Mealwise, our dishes were tasty-- including the bread that comes with the meal!
