Came here on St. Patrick's Day. Huge pub! The service and food were incredible. There was also a live band and Irish Dancers. Had such and amazing time here. I will definitely be coming back.

Love the staff here, they really make the place. Food isn't anything to rave about, however the california poutine is pretty tasty.

Review Highlights - Scruffy Murphy's Irish Pub & Restaurant

It's in a broke down looking strip plaza, but once you're inside the pub it's a whole other world.

We didn't reserve in advance (which I now highly recommend). The wait was about an hour, but we passed the time at the nearby Churchill with a pre‑drink, and they texted us when our table was ready. The Sunday night jazz band was fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they work together as a team to take care of you. Amber was our primary server - she was great. Service for both drinks and food was quick, and the cozy Irish pub atmosphere made it even better. Definitely try to reserve ahead on the website if you can. If not, just plan to relax at one of the nearby pubs until your table is ready.

Parking in NOTL always a bit of a challenge especially if you don't want to pay! Wife enjoyed her 1+1 - 2 different fish filets with chips. I had the Irish Experience of three different meat pies. Each did have a unique taste. A filling and interesting dish. Murphy's stout on tap was Devine. Wife found her NA Moscow mule good but, given no alcohol, she felt the serving volume was low. Less than $100 CA all-in seemed reasonable for a fairly authentic Irish meal.

My cousin and I are were staying at the Hampton Inn about 3 mins from The Irish Shebeen and decided…read moreto walk over. We saw some available seats at the bar rail and decided to sit there. There was a live band playing old school music and the vibe was all around welcoming. The bartender wasn't really social but she did acknowledge us and handed some menus. I decided to order a Shirley temple with a splash of Tito's for my drink and went with the Irish lamb burger for my meal. The burger was a lamb patty, caramelized onions, grilled apple, Brie cheese, greens and a curry aioli that I asked be put on the side. The meal also came with a side of fries. I didn't like the aioli so I requested bbq sauce to add to the burger. The meal was super super delish. Fries were crispy but lacking in the seasoning department. Quick fix with salt and pepper. Overall good eats. The only thing I didn't like was being charged for 2 oz ramekin of bbq sauce. I felt like that could've just been complimentary. Other than that great experience, and I recommend.

I'm in Mississagua for a week of work and decided to stop by this rather unassuming pub for a pint…read moreand quick bite. The decor is very "Irish discount Applebees", without the typical rustic vibe of a classic shebeen. With 90s music bopping out of the speakers, I grabbed a 20oz at the bar and asked what on the menu was good. I was recommended the margherita pizza and went for it. Praytell, dear reader, that the tale I unfurl for you next is not an exaggeration in any sense of the word. The item advertised as pizza arrived shortly thereafter and, upon first glance, it was clear that the plate placed before me held a prosecutable hate crime against the cuisine of Ireland, Italy, AND Canada. The highly-touted "homemade crust" was fingernail-thin had the consistency and flavor of a giant Saltine cracker, sans salt. The single topping, as far as I could tell, consisted of some form of shredded orange cheese. A faint crimson smear adorned the crust, but whether there was tomato sauce, basil, or any other seasoning typically found on pizza under said orange cheese was not discernible. The distinct "melted cheese on a cracker" flavor certainly did not imply there was anything other than these two items imprisoned on my poor plate. While the service was fine and the decor, while not what one would expect from a shebeen, was serviceable, Mississauga's The Irish Shebeen will go down in my culinary history as **the absolute worst** "pizza" I have ever eaten in my entire life. I would plead to the business' owners to throw this recipe directly into Lake Ontario, but that would be supremely unfair to whatever lives in Lake Ontario.

Started with ice cold wine and beer. Delish. Daughter and mom each ordered the bruschetta flatbread. Mom loved it, daughter hated it. Rightly claimed you should not decorate it with ranch dressing. I ordered the turkey avocado club. Liked it. Had lettuce, tomatoes, a slice of Kraft processed singles, pickled onions, chipotle mayo. What it promised and was unfortunately missing was the avocado, which was supposed to come as guacamole. Would have been nice to have it and I probably should have said something. Next time. Came with fries which were excellent. If I'm ever in the area again, will be back.

While I wouldn't expect a pub to have great salads, I was quite pleased with the quality and portion size of their Cobb Salad. I ordered it without any modifications, but in retrospect I think it might have been better if I switched the blue cheese (original) for feta cheese - I'm biased though. The day after, I ended up ordering their Caesar Salad over the phone, for takeout. It was great too, although the dressing could have a bit more garlic - I'm also biased on this topic :) Service was quite fast and all servers were courteous, and wearing masks. The pub also offers a lesser known, and therefore quiet back patio with a few tables and large umbrellas. And I'm not talking about the one you see right when you walk out the back door. There is another one behind that. I only found out about it when I left, but it was quite welcoming and I will consider going again to sit at the (second) back patio!
