Matt bartin was slow to respond, unprofessional, and has a poor memory.

They handled the landscaping for my entire yard. Matt and Chris were great to work with. They took my ideas and made them better. I could not be happier with the quality of workmanship. Never in all our years as home owners have we had a more professional, beautiful back yard. Copper Creek could not have been easier to work with. Every single person we dealt with, in the office, on the phone, employees and subcontractors, were amazing. Every time we go out and sit in our yard, it continues to make us smile. It really is our perfect stay-cation. Yes, there are problems that come up, but none that cannot be fixed and not once, was anyone one upset with us, defensive, or unkind. Don't fall for their slick marketing flyers. The work done by Copper Creek was poor at every turn. I should start off by saying that at first everything was great. Matt came by our house multiple times to go over our existing plans for our yard. He suggested that we not use the plans and instead drew up some of his own. However, he did no actual measurements, and instead used just a "sketch" when it came time to do the actual work. They did not account for the slope in my yard, which caused them to have to dig my yard up (at additional cost to me no less). This was not a part of the plan, and now instead of a beautiful backyard, I have dirt and weeds because of the slope they had to take out. That wasn't the worst of it though. We had an outdoor covering built. Substantially large it was designed to be centered with the house. Remember when I said they used a sketch instead of a plan? When they poured the concrete for the base and patio, they didn't poor the foundation for the outdoor room posts in the correct place. I pointed this out to Matt the one time he came out to inspect the site after we signed them on. He told me he would have it corrected. Imagine my surprise then when I came home to it not being corrected, and the structure put up not centered on the house. Because they cut into the roof on that first day, I now have to live with this monstrosity that looks completely horrible because it's off center. Not a little mind you, but two feet off center! I requested a final walk through with Matt, as there were supposed to be additional phases in the future. Matt instead emailed me and essentially told me he would not do a final walk through with me. I spent a lot of money on this project, and was profoundly disappointed. Please take your business elsewhere, and don't fall for them like I did. read more

We worked with Coppercreek on a relatively small scale backyard patio project with particular features including basalt columns and granite slab tables. Matt and Coppercreek were wonderful, starting from Matt's artistic work with us to help develop our rough ideas into a range of possible layouts, all the way through to their management of the construction and general contractor work. They brought some simple approaches to nightscaping and to merging the design with the rest of the yard, and did a really great job in selecting ornamentals and other perennials. They kept us appraised throughout the process, worked within our budget, and addressed two surprizes with nimbleness and attentiveness. At one point the concrete contractor decided their truck had to go to another job on short notice so Matt quickly got a gang of remarkably polite heavy fellows to work the wheelbarrows back and forth over 30 yards in order to get the pour done on schedule, and at another point the backhoe guy put a dent in our roof gutter the fix of which Coppercreek handled quickly, entirely and completely to our satisfaction, going beyond the necessary repairs. The result is flat out amazing. This work was actually done a couple years ago and we meant to age this review (but not this long!): the lighting, ornamental shrubs, underground irrigation, and the whole system is healthy and fine, we really don't have to spend any effort in maintenance or upkeep. Absolutely the worst decision we ever made. We told Matt we wanted landscaping that would provide us with little to no maintenance, since we have health issues and not able to do as much yard work as we could in the past. What the finished product turned out to be, was a HUGE increase in the amount of work to maintain our yard. The project was completed in October of 2013 and looked amazing...at first. Eventually, the bark that was used in the bedding failed to perform as we were led to believe and had to be redone. So for additional costs, in May of '15, we had them put down rock with a so-called "weed barrier". Now, every spring we are inundated with weeds growing in the bedding, which also requires additional upkeep throughout the summer and fall because it is so overwhelming. The rock is nearly impossible to keep in the bedding due to the concrete edging design. I should have known the application of the rock was going to turn out bad when I received a complaint from my neighbor about the crew they sent out to do the work. Copper Creek sent out crew that was loud and obnoxious and using a lot of profanity. They apologized, however it was also apparent their workmanship was also suspect. We found countless staples in the lawn, some the hard way...ouch, along with remnants of the fabric from the weed barrier all over the yard which we had to pick up and dispose of ourselves. Copper Creek had been a pleasure to deal with up to that point, but the crew they sent for that particular job made it seem like I had contracted to an entirely different company. It literally brings me to tears when I think about this whole process and the amount of money we spent on the overall project. We are not wealthy people by any means, and the money we spent on the project wasn't a drop in the bucket, yet we felt the investment would pay off in the long run to help with our situation and also increase the value of our home. Now I'm going to be forced to hire a lawn service to assist with our spring and fall cleanups, and weed reduction. I cannot and will not trust Copper Creek. read more
