I was very disappointed with my recent experience. After expressing my concern that my appointment had been moved to a different dentist without any advance notice, the office chose to terminate the doctor-patient relationship.
I later learned that Dr. Jacoby had reduced his schedule to only two days a week. Rather than notifying patients and allowing them to decide whether to keep their appointment with another provider or wait to see their chosen dentist, the office simply reassigned appointments. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect advance notice so patients can make an informed decision about their care.
it's probably for the best, as the quality of the office seems to have declined over the past few years. Staff turnover appears to be high, and it shows. At my most recent appointment, the team came in to check my Invisalign progress to determine whether I was ready to switch to nighttime wear--despite the fact that I had completed Invisalign treatment years ago. During the same visit, they polished my teeth before performing the cleaning because of staffing shortages, which was unusual and left me questioning the overall organization of the practice.
Unfortunately, this experience taught me that communication, continuity of care, and attention to detail are no longer priorities at this office. read more
