Our group also ordered the chicken sandwich, mac and cheese, the crab and Parmesan dip, and the pork chop with mashed potatoes. Every single dish earned a 5-star review from our table! I don't remember our server's name, but he was originally from the Los Angeles area if that helps identify him. He was fantastic, friendly, attentive, kept our drinks full, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Great food, great service, and a place we'll definitely be coming back to. 5/5 stars!

The sandwich is served with a slaw, spicy remoulade, and a generous pile of shrimp. The roll the sandwich is a little too soft. It was a nice attempt at the traditional New Orleans French bread, but it missed the mark for me. If you have time, definitely check out the dessert menu. They have fantastic options.

The bathroom is in great condition with no visible mold or ickiness we can sense at some older hotels. I only stayed for one night and didn't use their hotel lobby bar so I can't tell you how it is but all of my interactions with the staff there were all very positive and left me impressed with this hotel. They offer smoothies in the morning the morning I checked out which was refreshingly good.

There was a pool and fitness center along with a club lounge for elite members to enjoy breakfast in the morning along with snacks and beverages throughout the day. The room was large and well up-kept, however, it had a strong musty smell and some of the pillowcases has brown stains on them which led me to wonder if they had actually changed them or simply made the bed without changing anything. Overall a pleasant stay but given the stained pillowcases, musty smell, and lack of info given at check-in it's a 4/5 for me. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.
