This time, Sept 2026, we were upgraded to an executive suite in the Vineyard section of the hotel. It has been recently renovated and although we did not see big differences, the rooms are clean and the views of the lake and outward from there are wonderful. The room was large and well maintained. The suite came with a king bed and a sofa bed. Both were comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. The room was quiet. Overall, it was a great experience. I don't really get why the hotel has a 3 star rating. I acknowledge that check in can be slow, even in the elite line, but the resort gets really busy and the representatives have been friendly and helpful based on our experiences. We will return for sure.

The lobby, atrium, and grounds are gorgeous and definitely give the property more of a resort feel than a typical convention hotel. I didn't have a chance to try any of the restaurants during my stay, so I can't comment on the food. The staff was also a highlight. Everyone I encountered was outgoing, friendly, and welcoming. Overall, a very nice stay and a great option if you're attending a convention or need to be near DFW. The lack of an airport shuttle and somewhat dated rooms keep it from being a 5-star experience for me, but I'd happily stay here again.
