Walked here from the cruise port to get a break from the weak, lazy espresso drinks on the Crown Princess. So glad we did! Our lattes were stellar and their turkey club panini was scrumptious. They use a thick smokey bacon that gives it extra flavor. We can see why it is a locals' favorite spot. Service was slow during lunch rush, but they kindly warned us about the wait. Quality takes time,I believe.

Egg and spinach spiral - so yum!

Perfect cute little spot and creative drink offerings. Brian loved just the drip coffee (smooth) with a little cinnamon. The Hot Honey latte was another fun one. We also snagged an egg and spinach spiral which is like a croissant-wich but rolled up cinnamon roll style. Duh-licious. Gotta get back to try the neat ice cream flavors!

First time here as it is hidden away. Well, not exactly hidden, but quite a way from the downtown area. This coffee shop is actually better known for its ice cream. There is a Coppa food kiosk down on the waterfront which serves up mostly ice cream. The coffee was very tasty and there were lots of tables to sit at. The server was pleasant and our coffee was made quickly and efficiently. The inside of the store is not very cozy but is more designed for a quick stop, not a prolonged stay. There is enough space to get some work done or to simply hang out.

A bit of a walk from the cruise ship dock but this place is so worth it! I wanted a scone to go with my latte but they were already gone! So I settled for the triple berry muffin, which actually tasted just like a scone! THE BEST "muffin" I have ever had! The latte was also very good. So should you walk here? Absolutely!

Great little ice cream joint. We hit the little stand in the food court next to Deckhand Dave's Taco stand. Had the halibut tacos and then hit Coppa for ice cream. Had the Birch Butter Pecan - it was proper.

Coppa is Juneau's best ice cream, rich and creamy. There are two very unique flavors that you must try, even if only to sample them --- Candied Salmon and Spruce Tip. I went with the Spruce Tip, which was a taste of the woods in a cup, unusual, but enjoyable.

Got a regular with two flavors - the peanut butter fudge and birch pecan. Both really creamy and tasty. Also tried the spruce tip - very unique flavor but delicious! The deep chocolate and blueberry cheesecake flavors looked pretty good as well - I'll be back next time to try some more. They also carry espresso drinks and hot chocolate for some warmth..

Not sure how that works since prices were already high, but it was just something I noticed. -Next while ordering my steak and cheese, everything is an add on, mushrooms, onion, peppers. My wife said she was gona order the Italian and I froze for a moment, were they gona charge me extra for lettuce, cheese, tomato,,,, luckily there was no add ons but that just makes it even more confusing as why veggie and add ons for steak and cheese?? -now the good parts, bread was fresh, soft, sandwiches were good. -house made chips were good, not oily, could use just a little more salt but was good. -$60 for 1 foot long and one 6 inch, bag of house chips and 2 cans of soda, even for Juneau is crazy. I did give 4 stars, food was good, but it's also a sandwich. Place was clean. Based upon their location, I'm sure tourist will pay the price, but personally probably won't be back.

I ordered the meatball which had a sauce that had a little kick which was delicious but it wasn't spicy. The chicken cheesesteak my husband ordered was delicious and I wish I didn't steal as much of his sandwich as I did. The house made chips are definitely worth it. In the future I will put some in my sandwiching or use them to treat the cheesesteak filling like a chip dip. The guy attending the counter was nice to work with and the music and atmosphere were chill but sure it gets busy sometimes. It was an all around great experience and I look forward to doing it again.

Yes, the bar had everything, and we did have some hard cider, but paid for the bar items at the bar, with the food vendor running a separate register. The grill menu is great. Look at it. Baskets ($8 - 10) of fries, chicken tenders, jalapeno poppers. An after school special ($2.75) is mozzarella, bacon and jalapenos fried in an egg roll wrapper with sriracha sour cream. Go for it! Mexican flair ($5 - 16) with burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, nachos and taquitos. Also an array of tacos ($2.75 - 6). Sandwiches and burgers ($~8) looked good. Our table ordered one pound of the king crab special that also came with a claw. It was AMAZING. They gave you these great crab cutters that they also let you take home with you. Our waitress was on point when she washed them and brought them back to us. SUPERB service. We also ordered crab bisque, crab sliders, and fried shrimp. The bisque was DELICIOUS. It rivaled the lobster bisque I enjoy on the coast of Maine.... Dare I say even better. The shrimp was fried perfectly and the coleslaw on the crab sliders was SO GOOD. The ambiance is cool. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you and announce the state you live in. It was fun hearing from where everyone was visiting from. I was skeptical that such a hyped up spot would live up to my expectations but I was WRONG. It far exceeded my expectations. This place is a MUST.

Overall I thought it was good, but the price is what makes it hard for me to fully love it. The crab legs are huge and definitely easier to get the meat out, which I liked. The crab itself was good, but for me it was just missing a little more flavor to justify that kind of price. The crab bisque was ok and I felt like it needed a little hot sauce. Crab cakes were also ok. I'm glad we tried it and I can see why it's popular if you're stopping in Juneau and want to do the king crab thing at least once. For me this is probably more of a one and done spot. Good experience, but I'm not sure it's worth spending close to $400 again when I think there are better values out there.

Buyer Beware! Junk…read morefees are so 2020. I'm in Juneau, Alaska on a long-term work assignment, and due to the limited restaurant options, I've ended up eating at The Hangar on the Wharf several weeks in a row. Every single time, they tack on a 3-5% "convenience" or "service" fee to the bill -- even when sitting at the bar with average service at best. I've asked ownership multiple times to remove these outdated junk fees and simply price the menu honestly instead of sneaking extra charges onto the check. Many states are now passing laws to prohibit businesses from randomly adding surprise fees to customer bills because consumers are tired of deceptive pricing practices. All this does is hurt employees' tip opportunities and frustrate customers. The food and service simply are not good enough to justify hidden surcharges on top of already high prices. Transparent pricing matters.
