What a rare occasion to be able to walk into a place have them promise you a deadline and actually meet that deadline. This location I stopped on a whim to update my registration smog certificate. I mentioned that I only had 30 to 40 minutes to get things done and noted that they had several cars in the lot. The gentleman took me in right away was professional courteous and extremely kind as I had recently broken my foot and it was a struggle to get around. This was a great example of putting service back in a service station, and clearly demonstrated a level of pride in assisting people with their service needs. I'm a car dealer and this is my go to shop for inspections and oil changes and various repairs.

Don't take your car here. They will try to rob you. If you tell them u don't want them to do what they recommended for their price, they will ask you "how much you got?" I talked to two of them and they both asked that. Also I came in for a few oil drip just here and there. I can drive it for a month without having to refill. Now after a day it dripped half a gallon. Also I saw my oil dipstick still up when I checked it. I would have done this myself except I didn't have the tools to reach one bolt. He tried to tell me it's leaking from the filter area and was confident about it. I had to show him where it was leaking from because I already tested it to find out. Also he said he will fix the front breaks to stop the squeaking for $99. Told him no that's too much. He asked how much you got? Lol. Then he offered $75 for everything. Everything meaning, the break pads, machining the rotors, and the labor. Nope. I should have asked clearly. It was actually $90 for just break pads and they said I need to buy new rotors. WTF??? I was pissed. I was observing them as they worked and they were very clumsy. I had a gut feeling when I saw that. One guy got in a silver Mercedes and pealed out and pulled up to the garage really fast and ran over an oil container filled with used oil. He was always on his cell too. Another guy kept tripping over the tools. Another guy was pushing a cart filled with tools and the tools fell off the cart. DO NOT COME HERE. Not even for inspection. They will say this is wrong and needs to be fixed if u want to pass inspection. The guy said i had a weak battery. Really? its brand new. Brand new as in last week brand new. He said my car should have started up. It would have if he left his foot on the breaks while pushing the start button. The fool took his foot off before it started. WARNING!!!! I WARNED YOU!!! -----UPDATE------ I did my own repair and I realized the reason why it leaked was because the fool covered one of the bolt holes with the silicon gel so he couldn't screw it on. He put that bolt at a place that didn't need it. Seriously?? If you want it done right, do it yourself or take it elsewhere. read more

I came here for an alignment and they told me a part had been busted and so I let them replace it. They were quick and stayed after closing time for me to pick up my car. (Reason why I'm leaving 2 stars) 2 weeks later my tire is looking wrecked and I take it back. They tell me they've "never seen anyone come in for an alignment and 2 months later, the alignment is WORSE than what it first was." And so they take a look at it and could not find a single problem. After they look at it, they start asking me multiple times if I hit something, which I hadn't hit anything from the first time I took it in. They give me a courtesy alignment and send me on my way. I think that they installed the part and never tightened it in. Because how can you give me an alignment, then tell me I need a part for my alignment, then my alignment becomes wo. It just sounds like they never tightened the part. Because I never hit anything and my alignment goes out like that? Hmm Edit: took my car to another auto shop. They told me I needed inner/outer tie rods and showed me why. I'm just tired of unfaithful and scamming auto shops so that's why I left this review. read more

I had a minor fender bender and my vehicle was out of alignment. I had Blake take a look at it. He was able to get the car back in alignment and made made sure that the alignment was the only thing wrong. I wish I read the reviews before I went there , they really good at playing dirty tricks on your car so that you can keep going back , they did the oli changed for my car within a month check engine light was on , I went there they fixed and we paid $475 , next day the light come bacK on , I decided to check it at the autozone it end up the engine oil was low causing the oil pressure low that made the light come on , just bought $4 oil and put it in Bamm check engine light just went off after few miles of drives. Highly recommended !!!! First I went to this shop for inspection.. I found it very fast about 5-10 minutes.You just have to sit in a air conditioned waiting area and also checked my car condition and my vehicle passed. Then I took my car for service and to solve some issues. They guided me very well and done all services very nicely and cheapest rate in a town. DON'T DO IT! Take your vehicle anywhere else. After replacing my EGR valve which only took 20 minutes, charged me $150 for labor. Brought my own part. Afterwards I had a NEW check engine code for bad catalytic converter. Blake tried to convince me that code was there before the part was replaced. Horrible, horrible, horrible. My oil change took forever (hour and 15 mins). Then a month later I noticed oil all over my driveway and garage and realized I had a massive oil leak. I had to have my car towed to the dealership and they sent me pictures of the wrong size oil filter that had been crammed into my engine to the point that it had creases in it. When I picked it up from the dealership, they charged me $10 less for their premium oil change (including car wash) than the groupon price for the bad oil job at Cooper Pit Stop. I just went online to see what time they opened on Saturday and found these Yelp reviews in my Google search results. Have to say I've been coming to The Pit Stop for years, since at least 2003, and have always had good service at fair prices. I can't believe some of the negative reviews here are true. Worst place EVER! I like to support small businesses, but this one didn't pay off. They come off as competitive with prices, but the service sucks. Told me they would price match my next oil change. They still charged me over $60 for the oil change, but they did do the other services included. They didn't check any of my fluids or tire pressure. My car started sounding horrible ever time I accelerated. I also got my breaks done at the same time. They've been squeaking ever since. It's been almost a year. When I took it back, they said they didn't hear anything or they just need to be worn in. It doesn't take more than a year to break in breaks. I will never take my car here for anything ever again. First word of caution. Don't ever go to these guys for any kind of auto work. The reason I gave one star because there is not a negative star on this review system These guys are the most unprofessional in terms of dealing with customers. They will tell you something for the amount or estimate to fix something plus so called diagnostic ... At least that's what they call it or word it. By the time if you are lucky and your problem is fixed or let's say you feel it's fixed the estimate multiple 2 to 3 times. Means what's quoted will not be charged. The will run diagnostic on parts which you don't even need or has nothing to do with the actual issue. Beware of this shop the are call them copper pit stop but they are noting but a Rip of shop. To cut story short I had to get some freon added to my BMW the actual quote was $70 but I end up with $220 out of pocket because their simple diagnostic ( replacing, adding freon) did not work. Now my AC working little bit stop working completely. I was told come tomorrow we will fix it and won't charge a thing but guess what my bill was $420 as the the guy thought replacing a hot water circulation valve will fix it. So after two full days and spending more than 640 plus my AC does not work at all. Now they want me to come again so they can fix it properly. Means they don't know what is wrong and what is a diagnostic. I am in a process of disputing my credit card charge as I am done and don't want to have more parts replaced without even the need to. My big bold advise please stay away from them as the guys are not only unprofessional but also don't know how to talk to a customer politely. So if you have enough time to kill and tons of money to spend on unwanted part replacement then you are more than welcome to go to lten otherwise mm my professional advise is tn this regards us to spend like day away b read more

There are a couple of places up the street that charges the same but are honest. Evap failed is the most common scam by Cooper Stop because he can easily manipulate the test to fail. We've used the Pit Stop services for our cars for years, and they always treat us fairly, do the work quickly, and are honest about what needs to be done. They have, in fact, turned down payment on some tiny fixes they've done for us in the past, and what they do charge are reasonable rates. Usually my husband takes the cars in, but last time I did it and they were great. My dad was a mechanic, so I knew exactly what they were talking about when they told me what was wrong with my Jeep, treated me respectfully and got my repairs done fast, with no appointment. WARNING!!! WARNING!!!! Do not take your car here for inspection, they will rig the result so that you WILL FAIL the inspection report. Most common fail will be the the evaporative emissions system. I took my car here June 1, 2015. I usually like to watch when someone is working on my car, but strangely a guy who work inside the office, think his name is Nigel, insist I sit inside the office where it's nice and cool. He said it would only take about 10 mins. It took about 25mns when he finally came into the office. He told me there was a small leak somewhere in the the evaporative emissions system. It would cost $200. I told him my car had never fail and only has about 80 thousand miles. I got a suspicious and bad vibe from his nervous behavior. He told me I had 15 days for him to fix the problem and retest for free during that time frame. My gut feeling told me he somehow tamper with my car, so I immediately went to another inspection shop a mile north of cooper from his shop. When the guy hook up the analysis machine to my car, he told me someone reset the computer data. He said to just drive it for 60 to 100 miles and bring it back. One week later I came back and sure enough it pass. Here's the interesting part, I stood there and watch the guy inspect, never telling him what happen to the car. Once the data was link to DMV, the DMV sent a report I had a Fail inspection last week. I told him the story and he shook his head and felt sorry for me. He said mostly likely the corrupt auto shop was still using the old software to inspect my car. It was easy to manipulate the data because you have to input all data manually on the old software and this is the reason for the current DMV software which does all reading automactically to prevent tampering. I immediately went back to the corrupt shop, told them what I dd and demand a refund. They refused and justified it by the sign that states "Pass or fail payment due" on the office door. This is the really sad part, an old man and a little girl just got their car inspected while I was there. I was at a distance but could see the old man shaking his head bewilder while Nigel was giving him BS inspection report. I went up to the old man as he was driving off and said " I bet you Fail inspection and it was due to the evaporative emissions system." Bingo he nodded. I told him to drive about 80miles and come back to this shop to re-inspect since it's free and stand there and watch him. If it still fail go to another inspection shop that looks clean and reputable. read more

Beware! Dont take your car here. They are not honest, will not stand behind their work. I went in for a diagnosis of unknown noise under hood when driving. They told me that my AC compressor was bad and entire engine would fail if not replaced. They charged me $376 for a rebuilt compressor and said would warranty parts and labor for 12 months. That was Dec. 2013-fast forward June 2014 when I need my AC-no air just hot blowing. Took it back, told me it was a leak and no Freon in system. The lying mechanic said it was due to my condenser now. The owner who if you can understand him due to language barrier, said I should have brought it in in Feb. How many of us use AC in Feb? How about that year warranty? Nope, he got his money, doesnt care. The mechanics working there hit on my daugter and told her not to bring her car there because they are con men. This nasty, unnkempt, pothole filled establishment should have alerted me to the danger but alas, I was new to the area and didnt have alot of choices on a Sunday. Lesson learned but am filing a BBB and ATTy General complaint. read more
