Should be called Cooper pest problems! worse, they told one reviewer to reach out directly to resolve. So I thought I would take that route. I wrote a note to have it be rejected by the text server. Unbelievable. I will put that note here and the owner can respond and if they don't, everyone else can see what was written. If the owner responds positively, I will update this. Owner: It is shameful how a business can go from five stars to one star after someone else takes over it. Yes, I remained loyal. Stupidly. You owe me a refund, PLEASE of at least the last two services of the stink bug overwintering which you did not meet your guarantee promise to return. It's been over three months so at this point, I want my money back so that I can hire someone who will actually honor their promises and be effective. And the ants that you treated last year did not have a single less ant but actually probably 5 to 10 fold increase in the number of ants we ended up getting after someone visited our home and you charged us a lot of money and did not honor coming back. Yes, once you had someone come (I forget his name at the moment) but he's one of your two top guys, and even though he squirted a little bit of something into our corner in our bathroom and maybe under our dishwasher, it was essentially a useless Band-Aid that wasn't even a Band-Aid because Band-Aids help heal a situation and my situation is still ongoing with the ants and stink bugs. I met my end of the contract when I paid but you did not meet your guarantee whatsoever!! If you refuse to pay me back for the ants that you never took care of, maybe you can send someone at no charge to finally take care of them this summer. My spouse and I spend time daily maintaining or trying to minimize by putting out various Terro baits, cleaning counters & floors every day, trying household remedies like vinegar as well as over-the-counter anti-and spider spray products to control the population, but I have no idea where the nest is. And sadly, apparently neither did the one worker that showed up or supposedly showed up last year. I don't actually know what they did. They didn't do anything indoors when they came to treat. And doubtful if they did much, if anything, outdoors either! Disgraceful. When I used you for 30 years one of the issues I had 20+ years ago was ants. Had been a Cooper client for over 25 years. I was supposed to have a "Home Intensive Service" today. Carlos Postell, service tech, submitted a service inspection report time stamping multiple treatments and claimed to have inspected the basement and perimeter of the house. He never inspected the house. No one was let in the house, nor was he recorded on our Ring cameras. Total fraud which is being reported to the police. I had a problem with mice. I signed up for the annual service contract of 144.00 which included quarterly visits and unlimited call backs if the problem persisted. The contract automatically would renew if you didn't opt out. I made them add "Do not renew" to the contract so that I wouldn't have to have that auto renewal. But what they never mentioned, and I failed to see in the contract was that in addition to the 144.00, there is a 37.00 PER MONTH charge. SO it is 444.00 annually PLUS the $144 "annual fee". I canceled today and they told me there is an early cancelation fee. Good luck collecting that from VISA. I put stop payment on it immediately. Oh and about the mice - yep, still have them. I have used Cooper Pest service for the last 3 years and finally cancelled my service with them. They have unfairly over charged me for services that were not provided so be sure to read through your bill or monthly statement as they frequently over charge. I have not seen a single service at my house since November '21 however they continue billing me. When I called their customer service staff, I got a vague "this is company policy" response. Also they advertise to be a "green" company which they are not - the solutions/ stations/ sprays that are installed are toxic and often dangerous to pets and small children. I called Cooper pest control because I heard something like crawling and scratching in my attic which was loud and scary so one staff member came to check it out. He informed me nothing is up there. So they took the payment and left. One day passed and our family hears the same noises so we called our own handy man to check it out. He found a nest and a a big hole coming from outside. I'm really upset with the company because they charged us saying nothing is up and they cashed the check. They are not returning our calls and putting us on hold. Fantastic! Our sellers left us a pretty nasty carpenter bee problem that had to be taken care of ASAP. Cooper contacted me back within an hour of me leaving a message and gave me a great price. Came out the next day, sprayed not only the area with the carpenter bees but any spot on the house that looked concerning. Haven't seen the bees back and we have less wasps too. They also said they will come back out if the problem continues (but it sure looks like it's been dealt with!) read more

I entirely agree with the other bad reviews. I just cancelled my contract with Cooper because of very poor service and no follow up despite my repeated calls. Two service appointments were missed and no one called to say that they would not be kept nor to reschedule. We've been using these guys since 2015 and our experience has generally been very positive. It's easy to set up appointments, the staff is knowledgeable, and they're great about timely follow up visits to tackle problems. That said, our satisfaction primarily lies with the quality of the technician they send and it's definitely varied over the years. We've had 5 different people service our house since 2015. Some techs are very proactive and try to find the source and causes of problems and some are content to just spray and be on their way. The problem solvers are invaluable of course, but there seems to be a lot of turnover so the good guys often disappear. In any case, I'm definitely a fan of Cooper Pest. They do quality work and they provide good value for the money. I would absolutely recommend them. read more

For approximately two years I have had a contract and have been paying $60.00 a month for their services. Every time I call for a service I am informed that whatever insect I call about is not covered and it is an additional service charge. Apparently Ladybugs are a not covered. Ridiculous! I have had a service contract with this pest company for the past three years. No customer service whatsoever!! Appointments are scheduled and no one shows up. I leave messages on the phone- no one returns my call. The only reason we've maintained the service is that Usman, the technician who's assigned to our home, does an excellent job when he does appear. If I could rate the company with zero stars i would. We made an appointment for bee removal a week in advance. The appointment was between the hours of 12-5. Then received a call back the day before saying that they would need from 8-5 to appear for the appointment. The day of the appointment we waited in from 8 to 6 with no call as of what the status of the appointment was?? The next day, no call. I had to call them and was not able to talk with the area that had schedule the appointment because they were busy??? There are many pest control companies in NJ. After hundreds or thousands of flying termite came out from underneath of threshold of a door, I called Cooper, and I expected the worker will remove the threshold plate and look inside and may be cutting the wood necessary, but instead slightly, lifting the threshold plate and sprayed. The may be effective or may not, not sure. I had bi-monthly contract installing many bait stations around house (termite will come to eat and die) and every two month of inspection is under contract. Every 1st day of two months they charge at first, and then they do nothing until request, inspection and reporting. If I do not request inspection, they do nothing. read more

Cooper Pest Solutions comes out this morning because I have an annual contact to treat ants. Antionio says he won't go beneath the deck even though all previous treatments have required it. His reasoning is that he did want to get his uniform dirty because other customers wouldn't like it. I call the office and explain and offer to reschedule to the end of the day so it isn't an issue, they decline. They said to call and they will return if needed. I will be calling. I will call until they do it right. Cooper Pest Solutions used to be Cooper Pest Control until a large company bought them out. Their customer service is now non-existent. After two treatments the bees started coming into our house. Another call to Cooper and the manager came out and did another search. He found the spot and took care of it again. I called for an appointment to take care of my yellow jacket problem. I was given an appoint for three days later, hours 8 am to 12 pm. The tech arrived at approx 10 am and was very courteous and professional. He told me to wait about 5 to 10 days to see how the problem was resolved. They came 5-6 times after I had a mouse basically saying no activity no place where a mouse could get In. They basically did nothing and scammed me. read more

We have been using Cooper since 2016. They are extremely professional. The entire staff is friendly. Our technician listens to our concerns. Their mosquito and tick spray is very effective. We've had 4 virtually mosquito free summers and no tick bites. They take care of everything, inside and out. We have them spray the entire house exterior, garage and shed for bees, wasps and carpenter bees. We've had very little activity. Wasps and bees do not linger in the yard or around the house. Two years ago we had an ant issue and they came out the next day and laid bait. We have not seen an ant since. Included in our program is an interior spray. Whatever they use, it works. In 4 years we've hardly seen a spider or any other insects. We highly recommend Cooper! read more

Every poor review here is what I dealt with. Cooper will not return my call as I would assured would happen. The people who do answer the phones have no interest in helping customers. I pay for a yearly service and ask them to come out and deal with a swarm of ladybugs. These bugs are winter bugs as they said and somehow not covered in my plan. Very underhanded not to include based on something they knew exactly about. Pick any other pest company and I'm certain they are better than this crew. read more

We have been using Cooper for a few years now. They handle our termite treatment and indoor/outdoor treatment for household bugs...mainly ants. I like Cooper. I think their techs do a good job, and except for one tech, they are all lovely, and knowledgeable. However, their customer service reps are not generally lovely. They are usually short and a little on the unfriendly side. In addition to this, their hours are not easy to make for someone who works. They offer no late visit so I have to leave work early or take a half a day if I need treatment done inside my home. I dread calling to make an appointment cause I know it isn't going to be a simple quick call. Because of this I have considered taking my business elsewhere, but we are tied into their termite treatment, and, like I said above, we do like their techs. read more

Cooper Pest Control sprayed the outside of my house for yellow jackets (they were entering my house). After 10 days, the nest was active again and I had 5 yellow jackets flying around my house. When I called Cooper, they told me they couldn't get anyone out to my house for 5 days. I had a guarantee for this job and this was an emergency. They told me they MAY get a cancellation and then they would fit me in. I could not wait for them and I had to pay another company who understood the urgency and came out immediately and took care of the problem. When I tried to call Cooper again to talk to a manager, they told me Ron would call me back. That was a week ago - haven't heard from Ron. I gave a bad review online to Cooper and they contacted me and said someone would be calling me - haven't heard from anyone. Do yourself a favor and call anyone else. Had a different exterminator come. Not only were they able to resolve this issue that Cooper couldn't but it also turns out that Cooper was doing it wrong. We had odorous ants which you don't bait to get rid of, what did Cooper do? They baited which made it worse, WORSE! Which is why the issue wasn't resolving itself. I paid them, they postponed the appt 3 times and in the end they said my area is not serviceable. They didnt even give my money back. We started Cooper mosquito service at the beginning of June.  With this service, we were promised anti-mosquito spray every 3 weeks and a guarantee of no mosquito bites during the time of service. This has NOT been the case whatsoever.  After the 1st spray in early June, a week later, I was bitten multiple times on our front lawn. We called Cooper about the situation but they didn't come out to spray within the 24  hours window as guaranteed.  Additionally, Cooper never came out to spray on the 3 weeks mark.  Last Wednesday, I called Cooper to question about the timeline of spray as it's been more than 4 weeks since they last sprayed. During that call, I made an official complaint and Gissel left me a voicemail the next day and offered us a credit toward our September bill. Thank you. However, what I was also looking for is to know that I will get the spray every 3 weeks, and that someone will come out within 24 hours if there is a bite.  I would really appreciate it if someone can contact me to discuss this. We had an issue with mosquitoes that Cooper handled well. Unfortunately the same can't be said about the customer service! We have farm animals and asked to be notified before they came out so we could make sure they weren't running around. They came out a couple times and didn't treat the whole yard because of the animals. My fiancé is deaf and used his video phone to call and cancel the service. The girl was confused by having the interpreter and kept saying that he had to call himself. She couldn't understand she was talking to him. So I called and canceled. But again, I was told he had to call. He called again and this time they said it was canceled but came out yet again and didn't treat the whole yard. So I called again and they said it was canceled but we still have to pay the bill. I asked for a supervisor but had to wait for calls back several times. Finally I got a call from a woman's cell after dinner who said we defiantly had to pay it unless we had the name of who we talked to. It was a $100 bill and I asked her to waive it for the confusion. She said she'd work with us but if we didn't pay it we would be put into collections. I explained only half our yard was treated but it didn't matter. The techs were nice but the customer service is horrible!!! Avoid them for that alone!!! read more

Horrible office people but amazing technician. We had to cancel our service. I have been constantly emailing and leaving messages for sales guy Cale, just to get quote and start service. At the end of whole ordeal that started june 6th, they came out to do service june 27th. Technician Usman was great- knowledgeable and friendly. However July 1st we get charged 277 for June service of 2 DAYS! AND ANOTHER 277 FOR JULY-total of 554. Are you kidding me. read more
