We later discovered that the alternator they installed was faulty. When we returned to address the issue, we were told that we would receive a refund check in the mail. Four weeks later, we are still waiting. We have called several times to follow up, but each time we are told that the check is "in the mail", and then they hang up in our face the rep name is Gearld or Jerrell.

They were paid to complete a DPF Emissions programming to my vehicle. I picked my vehicle up nearly 2 weeks later on Friday, July 24, 2026 from being repaired. On Saturday, July 25, 2026 we transported a load from Montgomery, Al to Birmingham , Al. The engine light come on approximately 60 miles outside of Montgomery along with severe smoking. We were advised the vehicle would stop smoking at or around 100 to 200 miles. On Monday, July 27, 2026 I made contact with the manager Erin and informed him of the issues I was having. Erin told me to bring the vehicle in. Tuesday, July 28, 2026 I took the vehicle back for the technician to look at it and he advised that the vehicle was smoking because something was plugged up that shouldn't been. The engine light was still on when they finished, but the vehicle stopped smoking. On Wednesday, July 29, 2026 I called Mike's Truck and Trailer and spoke to gentleman regarding the truck was losing power, truck jerking and engine light was still on. I was informed to bring vehicle in by Friday. Being concerned about the jerking and the engine light was on, I took my vehicle to Love's Truck Stop in Shorter, Al for a diagnostic. I was advised that they couldn't read the system. I explained to them the service I just had done at Mike's Truck and Trailer and they said take it back to them, because something is not programmed right. I called and spoke with Erin at Mike's Truck and Trailer and he said bring the truck back in. Thursday, July 30, 2026, I took the vehicle back. I spent the entire day their waiting on my truck from approximately 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. I went out to check to see if the service was complete, only to find the truck running unattended. I went back inside and asked Erin what did the diagnostic read, he said "oh it was something they didn't do correctly, but you good to go". I went out side turn the truck off and back on and the engine light was back on. I took the truck back on Friday, July 31, 2026 just to find out that the programming technicians are sub- contracted through Mike's Truck and trailer by Truck Works, but I paid my money to Mike's Truck & Trailer. I was told to my face that the technician that was assigned to work on my truck " got something going on". I was referred to this shop by someone who worked with the owners, under the impression that Mike, Jeff & Steve was still running the show on a day to day basis. Customer service is horrible. I spoke to the programmer manager Steve and he was supposed to get someone to look at it on yesterday. That programming only take a couple hours, a day at most. I still haven't received any feedback. Steve trying to say it may be something else going with my truck. No it was totally fine before I brought it to them it only needed programming. However, if it do need something else the programmer has the diagnostic system messed up where it want read and they definitely want be the one to fix it after this experience. Do not use them if your semi need any programming. I can't speak on any other service. This has been a terrible experience. Today is August 4, 2026 and I still don't have my truck back. I was assured I would have my truck back in a couple days ready to go. I've spent money and now still losing money by my truck sitting.

The most horrendous experience for me when having new wheel bearings put on my rv camper. My big mistake was not asking for an estimate to begin with when talking with the owner on the phone. The man who actually did the work was very nice in telling me they could do the work. They charged me $698 for having bearings replaced and repairing an interior light. I had asked them to install bearing buddies to keep dirt and water out. Instead they replaced one cap on one of the two wheels they were asked to work on (and I'm hoping the bearings), and left the other bearings original rubber cap on. This cap fell off on my 20 mile journey on the way home. When I got home I checked the prices of RV repair places to find out what the charge would normally be on bearing replacement. The labor on bearings are normally $100 per hour. The bearings themselves are under $100. There charge was $182. The labor was $475. I called the owner to complain and his workers answered. I asked to have the owner call me back but he was unresponsive. I paid with a check which was rushed through the bank system by the next morning. Before posting this review I called the owner to tell him this would go on Angie's list as well and his attitude was basically "so what."

He was sent the wrong transmission, but didn't recognize it for a month. The replacement transmission had a broken part that he didn't know about for a week. He told me he would have the RV ready the following Monday, waited until Tuesday after I left my home in Amarillo that he was replacing the entire transmission the day of my arrival. He's cost me multiple thousands of dollars in delays, rentals, and wasted time.

Brian takes his welding personal. I appreciated that immensely. But he takes his attention to detail to the ART level. Not just fit and function, but really something special. Extremely Disappointed - Dishonest Representation and 900+ Mile Wasted Trip…read moreI am deeply disappointed with the dishonest sales practices at Great American RV Superstore in Calera, Alabama. After speaking with the manager, Josh, regarding a specific Venture RV, I was explicitly assured that the unit was in "like-new" condition and that he "couldn't find a scratch on it." Because Josh knew I was driving 427 miles from North Carolina, he looked me in the eye over the phone and promised he would not mislead me. Trusting his word, I made the trip. Upon arrival, the actual condition of the two-year-old camper was completely unacceptable and nowhere near what was advertised: The front gel cap was badly faded and yellowing. The oven door was rusted. The slide-out left a massive, deep black scuff mark across the floor. The interior booth cushions were stained. Adhesive LED strip lights had been carelessly ripped from the upper walls, leaving extensive scuffs and cosmetic damage. The unit looked as though it had been neglected in a muddy field for two years. When I understandably declined the purchase, Josh attempted to pivot and offer a "deal" on a completely different RV. I did not drive nearly 900 miles round-trip for an alternative deal; I came for the specific vehicle we agreed upon. Taking advantage of out-of-state buyers by misrepresenting inventory is incredibly unprofessional. I highly recommend potential buyers look elsewhere if they value honesty and respect for their time

I gave two stars because they're open and they answer the phone. but that is all…read more I've bought two RVs from Great American RV in Calera. I brought friends in and they bought one. They are a machine in selling. and a door stop in service. In both campers I had gotten some items repaired, but only the easy things. If it requires being a champion for you to the manufacturer or seemingly doing difficult jobs you get the "that's normal" excuse and are stonewalled after that. This last visit they had the unit a month, made a few minor repairs (though they did say they were awaiting parts) and at the end..... the one main issue the camper had..... You guessed it. "Oh, that's normal." I'd checked other units and talked to others on camping forums.... It's not normal. And what parts could they have been waiting on that long?!? Never going back to this sorry excuse for a dealership again. Nor will I recommend them.
