Extremely Disappointed - Dishonest Representation and 900+ Mile Wasted Trip…read moreI am deeply disappointed with the dishonest sales practices at Great American RV Superstore in Calera, Alabama. After speaking with the manager, Josh, regarding a specific Venture RV, I was explicitly assured that the unit was in "like-new" condition and that he "couldn't find a scratch on it." Because Josh knew I was driving 427 miles from North Carolina, he looked me in the eye over the phone and promised he would not mislead me. Trusting his word, I made the trip. Upon arrival, the actual condition of the two-year-old camper was completely unacceptable and nowhere near what was advertised: The front gel cap was badly faded and yellowing. The oven door was rusted. The slide-out left a massive, deep black scuff mark across the floor. The interior booth cushions were stained. Adhesive LED strip lights had been carelessly ripped from the upper walls, leaving extensive scuffs and cosmetic damage. The unit looked as though it had been neglected in a muddy field for two years. When I understandably declined the purchase, Josh attempted to pivot and offer a "deal" on a completely different RV. I did not drive nearly 900 miles round-trip for an alternative deal; I came for the specific vehicle we agreed upon. Taking advantage of out-of-state buyers by misrepresenting inventory is incredibly unprofessional. I highly recommend potential buyers look elsewhere if they value honesty and respect for their time

I gave two stars because they're open and they answer the phone. but that is all…read more I've bought two RVs from Great American RV in Calera. I brought friends in and they bought one. They are a machine in selling. and a door stop in service. In both campers I had gotten some items repaired, but only the easy things. If it requires being a champion for you to the manufacturer or seemingly doing difficult jobs you get the "that's normal" excuse and are stonewalled after that. This last visit they had the unit a month, made a few minor repairs (though they did say they were awaiting parts) and at the end..... the one main issue the camper had..... You guessed it. "Oh, that's normal." I'd checked other units and talked to others on camping forums.... It's not normal. And what parts could they have been waiting on that long?!? Never going back to this sorry excuse for a dealership again. Nor will I recommend them.

I am beyond impressed with this company, the staff and the customer service. We were driving from…read moreFort Lauderdale, Florida, had an issue with an axle on our RV trailer. They didn't have the part, but could order it and have it in three days. Not my favorite option but we're talking and axle. 10 minutes later they called me back. They had a used part that would work for my RV. I was thrilled as They were willing to do the work on Saturday. The price was very reasonable for the time and effort they put into our issue. Everyone was informative. They showed us the broken parts and gave us recourse to deal with the manufacturer of the parts, which broke on a one year old trailer with less than 2000 miles. This should not happen. They have lots of products in the retail store. There are plenty of beautiful RVs for sale as well. I wish we had purchased our RV here. I felt they had my best interest in mind not theirs. Give these people your business. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased a camper from RV Roadway about two months ago. Before signing, multiple…read moreemployees--including the sales staff and lead manager--assured us that the camper came with a grill and that it would be inside when we picked it up. It was not. We also discovered that the power cable was missing and later found a leak in the wall. When we contacted RV Roadway, we were told to bring the camper back for repairs, despite explaining that it was already at the towing limit for our vehicle and would be placed permanently on a lot. We drove over an hour--twice--to pick up the promised grill, but it still was not available. A manager eventually said it would be mailed to us. More than a month later, another employee refused to mail it, saying shipping would cost too much, and promised it would be ready at the dealership on September 23, 2026. As of 2:45 p.m., no one had contacted us. The issue is not just the grill--it is the repeated promises, lack of follow-through, and dismissive customer service after the sale. I would not recommend RV Roadway based on this experience.

I really want to travel more and having a travel trailer will dramatically cut down the COVID exposure We have a Ford F-150 so we can tow one. Anyway, Tony came out and showed us 3 models. One new, two used. He repeats himself a lot. The used car type sales pitch. "We will train you on how to use it" when we asked questions about each trailer. That isn't the point dude We want to understand the different features of each unit. We only need to hear that they will train us on how to use it once Tony must have said that 15 times. It was annoying. He said it so many times, I finally had to tell him. We know you will train us, but we want to understand the features of each trailer. We had to figure out the differences ourselves. He couldn't seem to switch from the company sales pitch to explaining features of each. We are going to shop around and maybe we will come back. What would be great is having a "build sheet" that lists what is great about each trailer. Features such as: any warranty, weight, size of hot water tank, there has to be differences. What are done of them?
