This is our third stop off stay on our way to Foley or FL. Once you make your reservations, it's pretty much hands off when you arrive. We've only met an employee, once. She was very nice. There are quite a few work residents on site, which creates lots of traffic/noise all evening, as they return to their RV's from work 5-7pm and busy traffic mostly between 5:30-7am as they start up their hefty trucks for work. Plus you are sitting right off the interstate, so more traffic noise. Not complaining, just stating the facts. That's why we use a sound machine. The sites are plenty long enough for our bus and Jeep. We do not need to disconnect to navigate the outer drive to the site. Hookups are good. This park is at the end of a fabricated home sales business, most likely owned by the same people. We will repeat our visits, just not to stay to vacation. Wi-fi was perfectly fine. We were in the first site, 18, nearest the building, but there are two towers to choose from. The office told us to go with A. If you are further away maybe you choose the second option? read more

easy access, big rig friendly, pull thru. quiet, online reservations, check in and payment. reasonably priced. truck stop/fuel at the exit. there are some construction crews homebasing here, they are friendly and polite. spaces were filled by early afternoon. enjoy your stay. we did! This is our third time stopping here. It's a great half way point for our Nashville to Golf Shores , Destin and Panama Beach city. Excellent WiFi I'm streaming Netflix on the free WiFi as I write this review. Best WiFi In a RV spot. Like I said this is a stop for us only. Super clean bathrooms and shower. No frills. Definitely go to the pecan store nearby great ice cream. Close to town if you need anything. read more

This campground is friendly and nice they have a playground and a catch and release fishing pond the have a very nice bathhouse and laundry facilities the only complaints I have is the internet is slow and you only get a hand full of cable stations and the ones you do get are fuzzy other than that this place is awesome and I would definitely recommend this place to other people and families read more

Traveling through Alabama on the way to Florida. Needed a place to stay for the night. Called YellowHammer, they were very hospitable! Beautiful setting, don't let the fact that the location is right off the highway deter you.... Slept very well! read more

This place is basically a parking lot next to a noisy highway. If you just need a place to stop because you can't keep your eyes open then pull in here and pay $24 a night which is way overpriced($28 with tax). We have stayed in really nice places for $20 or less. Pulled in here on Monday they were closed never did get the Wi-Fi code since nobody works on Monday. The only thing this place has going forward is a fantastic laundry room. I would suggest you spend the night in a rest area, it's Free. We would not stay here again. read more

Reserved and paid for spot in advance. Got there and spot was taken and no advance notice was sent. The guy in office was rude and very difficult to work with. Stayed at this location before and it has gone down hill. Turning into a long term campground. Had paid reservations for our return trip. However decided to lose the money and stay at another campground. Talked to several other campers and they also told me they would not stay at this location again. read more

My camper has been at service department since June. The front of it needs painting due to fading,it is covered by warranty. After waiting this long for repairs the parts manager told me they where not going to repair it because I did not buy it from them and they where under no obligation to fix it. Said they where not going to make any MONEY on it so therefore they where not going to work on it. This is by far the worst RV Dealership that I have ever dealt with. Will never step foot out again. I am filling a complaint with Forrest River and BBB. read more

On our way to the beach this is about half way. Called to make reservations but guy said use website so I did. Website let's you select your site and give arrival time which was going to be late as we were leaving after work. Paid in full immediately as website required. We get there and our site is occupied and all other pull through are as well. We are driving RV towing a Jeep. It's 1 AM been driving 6 hours guy says he didn't know the site was reserved (it's THEIR website not Reserve America or third party) takes about an hour then he says just take a back in site and I'll refund your money. He says the site we reserved has been occupied for a month which is untrue as I talked to occupant next morning and they were passing through just like us. We have to unhook Jeep. We finally get to bed about 3. No site No refund No service. Stay elsewhere if you're traveling as these people's system doesn't work and their promises for resolution don't either. Skip Yellow Hammer, Peach Queen campground is a little further off the interstate but not much and the stay and service are worth the small distance traveled. read more

I have been staying at Yellowhammer for several weeks now and am well pleased with their park. I have a new 40 foot motorhome that I move around the state throughout the year and I am very particular about where I stay. The park must be clean, safe and have easy full hook ups. The staff must be courteous and for sure not rude......travel all the time in this home and see it all! I have looked up places on the internet that looked great but when I arrived in person it was frightening to say the least. I'm a pretty easy going guy but you pay a fair amount to stay in these parks. To earn my business, a park has to be well maintained. Yellowhammer has exceeded my expectations. This place is clean, has 24-7 on site active security.....actually patrol the park round the clock. The washroom and bath areas are the nicest and cleanest I've ever seen at a park. An extra benefit to me is they have a first class and HONEST maintenance department that can do most any type work on my motorhome. I've already used them twice for repairs and they are great and will be getting all my business! Yellowhammer also has a great onsite store that has all necessary supplies. Because I travel with my consulting business and live in my motorhome more that my home in South Alabama, RV park satisfaction is of the most importance to me. Yellowhammer, from top to bottom is by far the best I've stayed at. I hope they open additional sites around the state......hearing they have plans to. read more
