Like most people, I use yelp to help me locate businesses and services around me that I need…read more Rarely do I take the time to write about a company, instead of just looking it up, mapping to it, and then closing the app. Tried and True Air is another story. Not only did they come from a recommendation from a family member in the HVAC business, but they were a large cut above, and MANY dollars cheaper than the rest.
Not only did they come out to service my A/C at my house (which had a condenser from 1986), even though my house (in Canoga park, ca) is in no way close to their home in Huntington beach, but they did it literally next day.
When Robert showed up he was professional, courteous, was great with my dog (though she wouldn't stop barking, but that's an entirely different issue), and provided the most informative service I've had so far. Other companies had come out, but refused to listen to the fact that we just wanted the condenser replaced, not the furnace, not the ducting, and not the windows. They kept pushing up sells on us until we couldn't take it any more. Robert listened to what we wanted and said, absolutely no problem.
The install went smoothly, and every step of the way Robert was there to explain to me exactly what they were doing that moment and why. He did so in a manner that mad either easy to understand, and when I had questions he answered them fully. I came away with the feeling that he really wanted me to understand what was being placed in my home and how it worked and would not rest until I was satisfied with his explanations.
Not only was the service great, but the pricing was literally at LEAST 2/3 the price of the closest competitors.
Suffice to say, we are now thinking of replacing our ducting, and there is only one company I'm going to call, and that's Tried and True.
