Just wanted to take the time to write a review about this store because of the great experiences that my boyfriend has had! I believe the clerks name is Danny. He treated my boyfriend with respect and he showed him so love with the shoes he sold. Every time my boyfriend takes a trip to cool kicks he comes back happy and tells me that he can't wait to go back to the store! This placed opened up years back when I was in 6th grade... I'm now a junior in college. The first 2 years of ownership where nothing but good things. Once the real owners moved out to LA this place turned into a scam. Cannot tell you the amount of times I went in this place to disrespected by some bumass getting minimum wage behind the counter. There shoes are all overpriced, I've seen numerous snap stories from employees here wearing and beating up shoes that they put up for sale. If you're trying to sell to them... take the lowest amount you'll take for your item then take 90% away and that's there offer. I can't say nothing but disgust with this place. Got offered $250 more for trade at different store. Ok so a few days ago I bought the Foamposite Bred varsity red shoes. They were $150 and they looked like they were in pretty good condition. So I bought them and took a picture of them before I put them on. I wore them about 3 times since and now I regret buying these shoes. You can actually see them on their Instagram page @coolkicksva scroll down and you'll see the exact Pair I bought. First i noticed the side pieces were peeling off as if they tried to glue them back together. And then today when attempting to take off my shoe the whole back bottom of my sole popped off clearly it was glued poorly. I'm not sure if I got played or what but that's 150 down the drain. Not sure if they themselves tired to fix it up and re sell them but I was pretty upset. They only lasted me 3 or 4 days. If you ever buy shoes from here make sure you buy then almost new or brand new. Don't even know if these are returnable !! Guys be careful what you buy I would suggest inspecting them real good before buying look for any glue residue. I have bought other shoes from them the Jordan 11 72-10 that were and almost new condition and so far they are great. I do think they should have not put these shoes on the shelf if they attempted to fix these shoes. Or maybe the store didn't notice that the person who sold it to them glued it back but I'm pretty pissed. read more

I recently came here for my first time thinking I was gonna have a good experience seeing what I see on the YouTube videos from the shop in La everyone cool down to earth respectful good vibes all around but this store is complete opposite and not because of the price they offer or what they trying to sell things for because it's a business at the end of the day and they're just doing what they think is best for it but as to the costumer service HORRIBLE I am a costumer representative and this is a no no ... Took my supreme hammock here a bit after quarantine to try to sell it and got offered 80 bucks when it was new and was selling for more then 200 anywhere else. Eventually I go back to buy a shirt then tell myself I'm not gonna use the hammock so took it out and when I tried to sell it the gentlemen gave me a more reasonable offer and sold it. Made me think why the sudden change in price but I think it was because since it was a different gentlemen who was so much more approachable thought it was a cool item for their store and he told me they go off of stock X and I understand they need to make money which reflected on the price so I left happy and I'm assuming they were as well. Today I take a pair of yeezys my girlfriend was to shy to sell herself and basically tell me I'm never gonna get my asking price and didn't even want to make me an offer but the whole reason I'm writing this was just because of how rude they approached it ( mind you the lowest asking price on stock X is $1000 and I asked for $600 but was negotiable and made that clear). It felt as if he thought he was better then us and I really think someone should take him off his high horse. Very sad just because I thought this was such a dope store to come and just browse but after today not only am I not coming back but my girlfriend will not be purchasing anything either (or her friends cause girls talk no ) Peoples place in manassas VA has a really dope selection but most importantly they actually talk to you like a person! First of all, LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS BEFORE ME BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT LYING! Walked in and wasn't greeted into I almost bumped into someone. Second, I bought some Shoes which were on the glass display, which I thought would be DS (Brand New) so I thought $600 wasn't bad. Considering they were Wave Runners. To my surprise, when I get home and open the box and check the shoes, they had some scratches in the back near the bottom heel of the midsole. I WAS NEVER EVEN TOLD IF THEH WERE USED! Not only that it was clearly worn as they were dirty on the bottom and had crease on the midsole, so it was pretty obvious they were worn‍ Never, EVER coming here again. A buy, sell, and trade establishment that is located right next to the newly renovated Springfield Mall. This establishment primarily sells retro Jordans, Nike, Adidas, and other brands of shoes. They purchase their customers shoes that are brought in, mainly retro Jordans, Kevin Durant's, Kobe's, Lebron's, and adidas models and then they will sell them to the general public. You can bring in your shoes here and sell them to Cool Kicks as well as trade your sneakers for anything they have displayed. The reason I am giving this place only 2 stars is because first, they will undercut you a significant amount to the point where you get nothing out of selling. You are better off selling your shoes on your own, because they will only give you half the value of your shoes. They will try and rip you off on trades as well where they will want to maximize as much potential on their own part. I traded a pair of foamposites and some KD7 that are worth $200 for a pair of Jordan 1s worth only $130, so they cheated me out of $70. I offered a straight up trade for the Jordan 1s for my foams but they rejected. On top of that they literally have no good shoes. They only have general releases and no special shoes that are of no significant worth. If you want a large selection of general releases then this is the spot for you. They may have some nice sneakers like a pair of supreme 5s here and there, but the quantity of these type of shoes are very small. I will not be returning as they do not offer fair trades and don't have a nice enough selection of shoes to drive all the way to Springfield for. Ok sneaker community let's put this place out of business. They absolutely suck and are literally the GameStop of sneakers. They know little to nothing about shoes and will change the price they offer you sometimes which is just dumb. I tried to sell a couple of pairs to them before and I even brought in some unreleased ultra boost and they were like "yeah we will give you under retail" and I was like well they're going for 250 on goat and he's like well oh well like NO KNOWLEDGE WHATSOEVER. Okay so I'm kinda 50/50 with coolkicksva. Sometimes I go to this store and they have something that's worth buying but most of the time it's just the same shoe over and over again. They will have 15 pairs of the same shoe hanging up. Like they don't have a good variety. It looks like they just wanna fill the shelves up and don't wanna look empty. I have copped some heat from this store occasionally. The workers are "too cool" they act like they don't wanna talk to you or greet you. Most of them time when I walk in they are all playing a video game console and act if they don't see you. If you try to trade or sell with them LOL you're better off on offer up or eBay. You'll have a better chance of getting what the shoe is worth. I tried to sell them my deadstock cherry 12 they told me $100 LOL. Now if you know sneakers you know how valuable those are. This is the GameStop of shoes when it comes to trading and selling. They want everything to favor them. They do promote on their ig page. They say that they give out free shoes but I've never witnessed it with my own eyes. Seems like it rigged. Look if you want fair prices don't come here. They quote good prices until you arrive and then the quote is nonexistent. In my opinion this is bad business. There are times when we should support black businesses but this business is not one. They charge you outrageous prices for shoes they try to low ball customers on trade and sells. Guy just tried to make excuses when I attempted to sell my Jordans claiming there was dust on the bottom...there was no dust so when I compared them to a pair of the exact same shoes they had in store and claimed were "new" and showed him he came back on his word and said oh well the coloring is different. WARNING store is a complete rip off brought brand new never worn space jams in even called before to see how much I would get and they said 240 so I was like bet. I go into the store and they first said oh there's dirt on the bottom remind you these shoes never hit concrete I tried them on once in my room, so they say there's dirt and they couldn't sell them as new and they offered me 180 really ?
