This is a safe shopping plaza that also houses stores like T.J. Maxx and bed bath and beyond. If you're ever in a bind and need something right away, I highly recommend giving this location a try.

I had no problem buying the updated versions online. However, the latest model absolutely destroyed my feet that I would feel pains in my arches and soles after only 3 miles! The most terrible thing is that the ASICS online store does not take returns or exchanges for worn shoes so I was out of $300 with almost brand new shoes. I searched around Arlington for a store that would assess my gait and also a store that would take returns/exchanges so that I would have to be strictly liable for running shoes that do not fit. Pacers fit the bill and so much more! The representative (apologies for forgetting his name) was SO helpful. He performed various tests on my feet, and recommended several models. He was quite knowledgeable about the different running shoes and discussed their pros and cons with ease. I ultimately left with new Brooks running shoes, which has restored my running to be enjoyable again. Highly recommend if you are searching for new shoes!

Luckily, the Tysons location is just as great. The retail associates were all very helpful, and knew a lot about the brand itself and were always around to help customers find sizes, certain items, or answer questions. Although their customer service is inconsistent as sometimes I find that they can avoid eye contact and not help you out. This has happened to me a few times so far. I really like their spacious store, and how the display for the men and women's were very organized. On Black Friday, they were doing 30% off the entire store! This was too good a deal to miss out on so my bf and I stopped by and got some really nice sweaters and jackets. Boyfriend bought the wrong size and asked if they could hold a jacket for him with the correct size. They didn't have the size in stock. They took down his contact information and never called. We had to consistently show up to the store and look for ourselves to find the jacket. The last time we were there, we found the jacket with the size he was looking for....and like we expected they never called or anything. Though, their material for outerwear is extremely comfortable and warm. I love the style and the color combinations for the jackets. Not only do they specialize in coats and jackets, they also carry sports and workout gear as well as graphic t-shirts, and skirts and blouses for women.

It would have been the ultimate combination of items, or combine the Alice Wallet with The Baltimore Ravens's Travler Purse. The employee who was helping use was helpful and cheerful.  She made the whole experience worthwhile.  We are sure to come back when my wife feels the need for another new purse...or see what new arrivals are in this store... Whichever comes first:)

Sketcher makes durable, comfortable sport and casual shoes with wide fit, and I wanted to try on two styles in different sizes. Online sources indicated that the largest Sketcher selections in Northern Virginia were at Potomac Mills and Springfield Mall, but none mentioned that both stores were operated by Encore, which I discovered only after walking the malls. **Springfield Mall - Positive Experience** The Encore store at Springfield Mall was well managed and provided excellent customer service. A young salesman approached me promptly when I needed assistance. He was knowledgeable about sizing, accurate in measuring my foot, and helpful in evaluating the fit of different widths. He offered guidance without any sales pressure. Although the specific style I wanted was not in stock, the professionalism and competence of the staff made the visit worthwhile. **Potomac Mills - Disappointing Experience** My experience at the Encore store in Potomac Mills was very different. Three employees were on the sales floor, but none acknowledged me or offered assistance. They appeared to be engaged in personal conversation, though I cannot say for certain. When I approached them and asked for help, I was directed to a new employee who openly stated she did not know how to measure feet or advise on fit. I then asked the two employees at the register--there were no other customers in the store at the time--for assistance. One handed me a measuring device as if I should measure my own foot. When I explained that I needed a salesperson to help, she accompanied me but stated she was not good at measuring or fitting shoes. I asked if someone with more experience could assist, and we eventually worked through the process, but it was clear that the staff's primary skills were limited to taking money and operating the register. I also shared that I was accustomed to shoe stores where employees are trained to help customers determine proper fit. I did not sense much interest from the staff in learning or improving in this area. **Conclusion** Based on my experience, I would recommend the Encore store at Springfield Mall for anyone looking for Sketchers or other shoes, due to the knowledgeable and attentive service. I would not return to the Encore location at Potomac Mills, as the staff there did not demonstrate the training or customer‑service skills needed to assist with proper shoe fitting.
