Highly recommend Jonelle. My son's hair is tricky because he has two crowns but Jonelle knew exactly how to cut it. The result was fantastic and we're so happy. Thank you! read more

Super well kept salon that hasn't failed me yet. I have asked Rodney for slightly different hairstyles each time I have made an appointment and he does a good job every time. Staff is very friendly and the complimentary beverages are a cherry on top. read more

Victor at cool heads was fantastic. Very careful, very confident. Next time in Dallas I will absolutely come back. This barber shop is definitely all about the client experience! read more

The places is nice. They offer hair cuts for kids and adults which works out for my family. When you walk in they have two fridges full of drinks from soda to beer and they let the adults choose what they'd like to drink while they wait for the cuts to be completed. The staff is talkative which is great if you are a talker so it doesn't seem so dull in there while you wait. The barbers know what they are doing too so we always leave happy! read more

Fast Food haircuts... beware! This location has gone downhill and escalating prices with hurried services is the latest trend. My new stylist sat me down without even asking how I prefer my cut. She proceeded to razor the sides as high as possible to give an awkward shape to my head which now resembles a rugby ball. There was zero communication during the cut to inquiry about my preferences. The whole goal was to get me in and out as quickly as possible. Additionally, my neck line is fashionably zigzagged and I was left with a souvenir razor cut on my lower neck. Now I will be waiting for the scab to heal in addition to my hair to grow back. Please avoid at all costs. This place is a Wendy's masquerading as an elegant steakhouse....and with the new prices, I could have gotten a steak instead. read more

i went in for a haircut 1/29/26. i will never go back. my neck was red from scratches and knicks for 2 days from the shave. the back of my hir does not sit down and sticks up bad. the sides are uneven, i can clearly tell that one side was cut shorter than the other. i VERY specifically said to leave extra length and that did not happen at all. the top was cut way too short and now sticks up in the front left and sits too flat on the right causing a funny look. im not allowed to wear hats at work but im not comfortable in my own hair now. i tried to call to ask what could be done and the "manager" and "worker" had nothing to say other than to come in for styling tips. total cost was about 80$ and the comfort in my own body. 0/10 stars. avoid place if possible read more

I flew into Dallas for work and needed a haircut and beard trim badly. I called several places that either didn't answer or didn't have appointments available. I was able to get an appointment in 20 minutes here, showed up and was immediately greeted and checked in. Within 30 seconds I was in the chair where I had the best haircut of my life. Brandon took his time making sure every line in my hair and beard were straight, then he cut the left half of my beard as short as possible while leaving the right untouched and showed me in the mirror allowing me to visualize a before and after. He made sure I was comfortable with the straight edge before shaving and was so gentle I barely felt it. I've honestly never had such a great experience getting a haircut. I'm sure every employee is as outstanding as Brandon, but I can personally guarantee a fantastic experience and haircut with Brandon. Thanks for squeezing me in short notice and doing an outstanding job! read more

It's a nice place but they need to be more professional, they don't offer "Drinks" as they should . I Think asking for tip is ridiculous it shouldn't be a must .haircuts for kids are to expensive 35$ when they only do trimming. They need to hiring people that know how to do fades they don't know how to, son had a fade and left long hairs when it had to be 0 . Owner of cool heads please talk to your workers to be more professional in every aspect if they don't know how to do fades JUST SAY IT ! Don't say yes & fuck it up thank you . read more

I don't they care what haircut you want. They have specific picture and they cut it according to only that

Horrific. My beard was trimmed terribly. I could do a better job myself. I'm honestly not sure how you can leave that much hair. Tons of half inch hair was left behind my ears on both sides when it was supposed to be cut to 0 as well. Just sloppy work. read more

Eugene's got some serious skills. My man took my messy hair from raggy to daddy in no time. This guy's a wizard!

Amazing staff and service. Great vibes and atmosphere! Angela is the best!!! Make an appointment online before coming in to skip the wait. They accept walk ins too read more

Came from out of town and my boyfriend needed a haircut desperately. We called around a few places to find a last minute appointment and this caught our attention. He was nervous when he walked in, but there is a great bar selection that calmed his nerves. He grabbed a lollipop and got a drink (Tito's of course). The haircut looks great (girlfriend approved). The salon is clean, and professional. They have great music and a nice chill vibe. I'm even here doing homework will he gets chopped singing along to the music. We need barbershops like this in Florida. They put the "BAR" in barbershop. Pun intended. read more

Never wound up getting the haircut. Very disorganized. Staff had a difficult time keeping track of clients even though we were all based on appointments. Pretty loud place and mandatory 20% gratuity. After showing up early and seeing others with the same appointment time arrive after me and get seen first, I decided to leave and take my business everywhere. read more

Vibe is good. Check in person was friendly and there is a stocked fridge if you want a water or beer. Eugene cut my hair and I am not sure if 1) he was in a hurry or 2) thought I was in a hurry or 3) thought I would be impressed by how fast he could wield the scissors and comb combination. In any event, the experience in the chair was pretty disconcerting and uncomfortable. I didn't say anything as I have learned that it's best not to antagonize someone with a scissors in their hand. The end result was good and I like my haircut very much but I will not be returning. read more

5 stars and 2 thumbs up! I've been looking for a new barber/stylist and am so glad I came to Cool Heads! Didn't ask for anyone in particular when I booked (first time) and was introduced to Sookie who did a phenomenal job! Highly recommend her as a stylist! She is very detailed and not only faded me great, she also didn't cut me while lining up my beard. HUGE! Will be coming back here often and I appreciate finally have someone to cut my hair how I like it! read more

I've been going here to get haircuts. I also set appointment so I don't wait. I made an appointment three days ago and today I go to my appointment the barber I made appointment just goes home no call or text. Time to find new place. They expect you to cancel your appointments in timely manner and adamant on tipping. I always tip good and take care of my barber. I guess I have to find a place that cares and is reliable. read more

I think this may be the best hair cut experience I've had. Not only was Cassandra M. engaging and a joy to talk to, but by the end of the hair cut she had me looking like a total stud muffin! Made a 10:00 AM appointment for a guy to ask to get his haircut after his son even though they didn't have a 2nd appointment. I was told I would be next and they were running behind even though they just let the guy who didn't have a 2nd appointment get a haircut after his son got a cut. Then at 10:30 am another person walked in for them to call him up first because he knew the barber. Worst customer service I've experienced at a barber shop. read more

Worst hair cut ever. They can't even get short and spikey right . Not only was I left with an awful hair cut I had redness and cuts all over one side of my head. When I left a review on their Facebook page I was told this : Cool Heads Salon For Men (CoolHeads Las Colinas) Jacob, sorry to hear this happened. Unfortunately, we didn't see this review as we were not paying attention to the child pages. Would you able to send us your contact information at info@coolheadsmen.com? We only hire highly experienced stylists with a passion for customer care. However, we do get some regrettable hire and usually take corrective action as we are strict on on our policies. So, I am pretty sure the stylist may not be even here anymore. But appreciate if you can contact us.. There was nothing to indicate it was child page . Eugene and the other staff aren't paid enough frankly. The quality of service and friendliness I experienced here were unmatched compared to every other barbershop I've visited. Chill environment and best of all the comfiest couches you've ever sat on. I plan on coming back anytime I need a touch up or cut read more

Used to be my go to salon fr about 2 years and when I went recently for my kid, after his hair cut, they asked how it looked & I asked back 'would you mind trimming on the sides a bit more?' thinking they wanted me tell if there is anything else needed to do. I got a response ' next time this will be an extra amount' . I do not mind paying extra but dint like the tone. I just paid amount+ tip and walked out. (by the way they charge 32$ fr 11 year old- just for info, kids hair cut 25$ is only uptil 10 year old as per their policy) + their mandatory 20% tip. read more

Not good. I asked for a fade and I actually liked the haircut a good amount. This is where the problems start 1. The haircut was around $36(not including tax) which is pretty expensive and not only that...THEY MAKE YOU MANDATORY TIP...I didn't see the mandatory tip sign and they essentially embarrassed me in front of everyone there by pointing out the sign to me and then explaining to me that I MUST tip in a very condescending tone. I was embarrassed as the other barbers stopped cutting to listen in on the conversation. I could tell that this place is not it as I think the customer deserves some respect especially from a place that advertises itself as elite. Their reason was Covid but I haven't ever seen any other business add $5(at the min)mandatory tips. I'm gonna go back to great clips where I get treated as a customer. read more

Alright so I had always gone to Floyd's because that's where I was told to go. After going to Cool Heads, this is my new place. It's quieter, more relaxed. Everyone is so nice and super friendly. I was looking for a men's cut. Joletta cut my hair perfect and made sure I loved it before I left. She didn't just style it for me, she taught me how to style it. I've already booked my next appointment. The hot towel head massage almost made me fall asleep. Definitely relaxing. You just feel good after leaving there. The online booking is an awesome perk. They serve alcohol if you want. They have a great waiting area so you're not just sitting there bored. Great location. Very clean in salon and bathroom area. Lots of parking. Definitely my new favorite spot. read more

Very cozy atmosphere and professional service I would go back and recommend friends. But make sure to set up an appointment before you go in to prevent waiting times. read more

The place is very nice and it was pretty cool/unique that they have a video game console to play while you're waiting. Haircut wise though, which is obviously the most important part here, was decent at best. It's a little concerning hearing the person cutting your hair talk to her coworker about how tired she is as she's cutting your hair... She mentioned she was so tired because by the time she got home from wherever the night before, she'd only had a couple hours of sleep before having to go into work. She also mentioned how puffy her eyes were when she woke up (a stylist with puffy eyes isn't a great thing to hear). The haircut was decent, but not one that will make me return. Hopefully that stylist got some good sleep and felt better. read more

Erik did a great job for me. He understood how I wanted my hair cut and took the time to execute it well.

Made an appointment with Sue today for an all scissors men's cut. She did an excellent job, nailing the look I requested and frequently asking questions to make sure I got what I wanted. The place is clean and decorated well, price was about $45 (gratituity included, 20% is mandatory but I do not mind as long as the haircut is up to par). Not particularly cheap, but stylists know what they're doing and provide a professional service. Thank you Sue!! read more

Terrible service I've ever experienced! Service is just sad ... I made a reservation here and when I came in they told me that they don't see my appointment and I can do walk in and wait there, I waited for 45 minutes while barbers was just taking between each other while I'm patiently waited! That's just nonsense, and after all of that they just left, and I was still sitting there with reception when I finally came to her by myself and she suggested to reschedule for tomorrow! That's really the worst experience you can get, management personal is just worst read more

I had a horrible experience with an apathetic staff, and now apparently an apathetic corporate office. I had a bad experience and left, then wrote the corporate office with the email on their website. Below is the email I sent on June 14th, with still no reply as to today's date. "Hi, I'm not sure if you're the type of company that cares about when they lose a customer, but just in case you are, I thought I'd let you know what happened to me today. I had an appt at 3pm at your Las Colinas location. I arrived at 2:54pm. I checked it and sat down to wait. 3pm came and went, everyone looked busy, so I didn't say anything. Finally after one of the stylists finished with a customer, I noticed that she wasn't coming over to greet me. My appt was with "first available". Finally at 3:23pm, the girl that was sweeping up the floors and stocking the machines finally came over to me and told me that they were short staffed -- someone had called in -- and that they would get to me as soon as possible. I said fine. At 3:31 pm someone came in, checked in, and went over to the chair to sit down with the available stylist. I understand that people have appointments -- after all that's why I made one. But to make someone that has an appointment wait for 23 minutes before you even say anything to them, and then take someone else in front of them, is just unacceptable. I just moved to this area and thought I had found a place to get my cuts at, but obviously I was wrong. I hope this can be a learning experience if you decide to use it. If I was treated like this, I'm sure I wasn't the only one. Have a good day. Scott" read more

This men's salon is top notch. You're literally wasting your money going anywhere else. For example: Joletta is the kind of stylist that you know when you sit down, that you're never going to walk away with anything but an A+ cut and style. She will make your eyebrows look like amazing like never before as well. My husband does the yearly subscription there and she works Joletta works that magic 2x a month for him. His fade is 10/10 at ALL TIMES. Their products are all good. There is an aftershave in a semi-clear blue bottle; BEST IVE USED YET. Can't remember the name. The lay-rite blue container, also epic product. I swear they didn't make me right this. I have had some of the other stylists as well. It was always great. Haven't done any shave services. Bottom line: You're wasting money going anywhere else. The best in the city, gents read more

I really like this place, I tried this place on a whim at the beginning of 2021 and loved it! Most of the time I just do a haircut and a straight razor neck shave, but when I have the time the cool heads massage is outstanding.
