I really like Troy Cuts! Troy's been cutting my hair for more than two years. Not only is he a great conversationalist, he's a great guy! His team is very friendly, and all the customers I met are very happy with the work they do. I got there at 9am and did not leave until 12pm today to get a hair cut and there was only 5 people a head of me. I know for a fact they put 2 people ahead of me. Plus they do an ok job, so I'm never going there again. read more

Troy Cuts has served my family and I for over 10 years, getting my hair cut every other Friday. The first thing you experience at this barbershop is the healthy atmosphere. As a father, uncle and grandfather, I have never hesitated to bring my boys here for haircuts. I can't say the same for other barbershops that I used over the years, where it was common to hear course and inappropriate talk by both barbers and patrons. For years, inappropriate conversation at barbershops in California and Virginia, led me to cut my sons hair at home (of course I am not as good as a professional barber). It's great to know that a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle can bring their loved ones to Troy Cuts and feel comfortable and be confident that you won't experience what I did at other barber shops. read more

I won't get my haircut anyplace else but Troy Cuts!!! They take their time and cut your hair right. I don't mean you're going to be in there for an hour just to get a trim, I mean they don't rush the job and just try to get you out of the shop as fast as possible like so many places do. These guys take pride in their work. All the barbers are very nice and funny people. The conversation is always good (usually sports) and even though every single time I've ever been in there I was the only white guy, I've always been made to feel like one of the guys. Which I know sounds insensitive and stupid, I'm sorry about that (because why WOULDN'T they?), but I grew up in a predominantly white area, and when I first walked in there as a 19 year old, that was the most African American guys I'd been around at one time. And being a dumb somewhat sheltered teenager was almost intimidated (not scared, just a little out of my element) until they made me feel right at home. There was no extra charge for the life lesson. The shop itself is nice, always kept impeccably clean and they have televisions to watch and snacks/drinks for sale if you're so inclined. The prices are about the same as any other barber shop, I think it's $16. Plus tip of course. Always tip your barber, especially these guys because they take good care of you. I wouldn't care if they charged $50, it's worth it. I needed a haircut one day and they were closed (I think they're closed Sunday or maybe Monday I forget) so I went to a chain barber shop down the street, and they messed my hair up while trying to scalp me and toss me out the door to keep the herd moving. I ended up going to Troy Cuts to get it fixed the next day. If you want your hair cut right by somebody who actually cares about what they're doing, go to Troy Cuts. If you want your hair to look like crap and to be treated like a faceless drone, go to one of the chain stores down the road. read more

Like TROY it's a lot. It's clean, the barbers talk smack about sports and such, but they are always respectful and the language never gets to a point to have me or my son cringing. James is our barber and he is top notch, but from what I have seen, they all are. Highly recommend this place! read more

Being white parents with a black son, it's so great to have a local place with experts in cutting and styling our son's hair. It's also wonderful for him to get a chance to be around and talk with black entrepreneurs like CJ, who was excellent. And our son has been getting compliments on his haircut all week! read more
