I recently moved to the Flower Mound area and was searching for a new barber. After hours of research on Yelp and other sites, I decided to try Back N Time--and I'm glad I did! I requested an appointment through Yelp and received a friendly text back within five minutes, letting me know they'd be open at 9 AM. When I arrived a little early, one of the barbers greeted me and let me know Ace would be in shortly. The shop has a great 'back-in-time' vibe with a solid music selection. Ace gave me one of the best fades I've ever had, and he also shaped up my beard with a straight razor. The attention to detail was fantastic. I take my cut seriously and always aim for a sharp appearance, and Ace definitely delivered. If you're like me and care about your personal brand, look no further--Ace is your guy! read more

I have given Joshua verbal and physical instructions to simply blend the sides of my head--a normal fade. But every time, the left side of my head is left noticeably flat and unblended Like the right side. this is my 3 time with Joshua. beside him, the atmosphere is wonderful and the other barbers are good. read more

I don't ever do this but I just paid $35 for a shave and tipped $5! The barber Joshua was super nice dude but did a number to my face! First off one side of the cheek is lined up lower than the other while the left side dips down and isn't a straight line. I kind of knew it was not going to be straight cause he looked at it and said "that's good!" Which made me nervous. Then he left quite a bit of hair on my cheek after the shave. As far as my neck! It is on fire! I have never had a shave hurt so bad and so many spots of blood after either. Hate to say it but won't ever go back especially for the price! I should I have looked at the reviews. read more

Just visited for the first time. Natalie gets me right away and took care of me. I was WAY overdue for a haircut. She was fantastic! The shop is exactly what is hoped, old school barber shop. Everyone seemed very friendly and to love what they do. I'll definitely be back. read more

So i probably looked up about 20 or so barber shops/haircut places for my 9yr old before deciding on this shop. First let me say as a customer if i walk into your store and the first employee to greet me has 4 legs, fur and a wagging little tush.. ive already decided to stay. little tip i learned. Mondays are "Goose" days. Goose would be an adorable black little mini aussie. say hi to her for me. Anyway. this was my son's first real professional haircut. his first time was as a toddler and he hated it. he is actually a very anxious person and some things overwhelm him. Im giving it 5 stars because my son got home and said "Thats the only place i want to get my hair cut at!" We took a photo of a haircut he liked that we found online and they replicated it in the shop. We also were told how they were styling it step by step and what products they were using. They have adorable old time era chairs and furniture. Just go in and look around. you will probably decide to get a haircut just for the experience. its real cool. They have free beverages in a refurbished ice chest cabinet thats been converted to a fridge. Id say more but you need to go for yourself. read more

Back N Time Barber Shop - Razor shaves, great customer service, like blast from the past!! Great place! - Barbers Near Me - Flower Mound, Texas

I had been here previously (pre-covid) and enjoyed the servicw and atmosphere. I have not had a haircut since March and thought that a small high-end barber would be a safe place for a haircut. I walked in and noticed not a single person out of the seven people there (employees and patrons) had a mask. I basically noped the hell out of there. I normally go to Floyd's but that place pre-covid was crowded and full of twenty-somethings so I was not sure that I wanted go. After the leaving Back in Time, I went to Floyd's and was pleasantly surprised that they were operating at half capacity for social distancing, everyone including patrons were wearing masks and they took my temperature upon arrival. read more

Needed a shave while in Flower Mound, visiting my family and read some positive reviews so I went to the local Back N Time Barber Shop... I called ahead and they were very nice and once I got there, it was a real treat. So much nostalgia and great service. Mercedes gave me a Wonderful shave, was very patient, took her time checking in as to how I liked it. Wish I lived here as this would be my regular go to spot. You should definitely check this place out! Thanks Mercedes and Back N Time. Great job! I will see you the next time I'm in town. read more

This place is UNBELIEVABLE.....its one of the most friendly and welcoming barber shops I've ever been in. It is a family owned and run operation and it truly feels like it. I bring both of my little boys(7, 3 yrs old) here to get there hair cuts. This is simply a place that brings you back to a time that doesnt seem to exist any more. Its a special place with special people and, of course great hair cuts! Thanks guys for daring to be different! read more

The atmosphere here is great, free soda, treats and check out the cool antiques while you wait. Just moved to the area and searched all of the barbers. This shop is very unique with all of the old barber shop antiques. The owner is a second generation barber. My cut. Cool shop everyone is super nice . Rhonda gives one of the best hot shaves west of the Mississippi. A+ from me

I took my 17 year old head for the first time last week. We were getting his Senior Pictures taken and needed to correct a horrendous cut he previously had gotten elsewhere that was growing out weird. He landed in Mr.Chuck's chair and what can I say..Chuck was amazing!! Not only did he fix my son's hair, but I decided to splurge and treat him to his first professional shave (old fashioned style!). My son left that 1.5 hour pampering session so relaxed and happy. I don't know what he and Chuck were talking about, but my son is now a fan and has found his permanent hair cut place! I highly recommend this barber shop!!! read more

This place is amazing! I have been plenty of times now and its the only place I'll ever go to from now on. Mercedes is the absolute best barber I've ever had. I swear every haircut I've gotten from her has been the best one yet. Her fades are perfect, she takes her time and is very precise. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

First time to visit, recommended from a co-worker. Chuck cut my hair. For the first time in a long time, I left the barbershop feeling GREAT about my cut. Couldn't stop looking at it. $25 for the cut and an extra $10 to shape up the beard. Fair pricing in my opinion. Chuck took his time and delivered. Will definetely be going back! read more

My first time here and Ace took good care of me. The inside was clean, the music was right, and a haircut was sharp. Will come back.

Ace and crew do a great job of creating an old school barber shop that takes you back to your childhood, more importantly do a great job with giving a fantastic hair cut. Great music, cold drinks and fantastic camaraderie. read more

I literally just received the worst fade ever, not blended at all , goes from all bald to a 3. This really is a poor fade and I have to now go find someone who will fix it because I can't go out with this. Please make sure you do your DD before going in. I was a walk in who got the least popular barber (for a reason known after) UPDATE : STILL A TERRIBLE HAIRCUT read more

This place is exactly what I was looking for. I have been to the other "barber shops" in the area and just did not satisfy. These other places seemed to be hiring standard hair dresser types and did not care for the craft. Where as these guys at the Back N Time Barber Shop really know what they are doing. The aesthetic of the shop is extremely pleasing. Using authentic barber shop tools, chairs, and techniques. Each person working was friendly and listened to the customer. The finished product was exactly what I was looking for as well. Their styling is fantastic, I will be back. read more

We love this barber shop! First, the haircuts are spot-on everytime. Second, the kids love the complimentary candy and soda. And I love seeing all the cool old antiques. I see something new everyone I go, I'm not sure if it's because there is new stuff added or because there is so much to look at. Finally, we love when the dog visits! read more

This place is a joke. This dude gave me one of the worst haircuts I've had. I told him to take nothing off the top... well of course that's the only part that was taken off. Trace did a great job fixing me up and making me presentable, beard and up too! Very interesting shop with great antiques throughout the shop. Very friendly service from everyone from the minute you walk in the door to the minute that you leave. Definitely, going back on a routine basis. UPDATE: I have been to this place multiple times and had multiple employees fix me up. Today, same experience with a different barber. Still remains the BEST place for a shave and haircut! Even though I didn't get the aftershave that I usually get. I found out that I didn't get it because someone complained that their spouse smelled like a "French Whore." I just want to thank that person for not telling their husband to just request the avoidance of application rather than yell at the barber, after the fact, and preventing the rest of the patrons from getting to undergo the full experience of an actual barber. I get it though, you are just one of those people that want everyone to comply with you rather than enjoy the finer things in life. Thanks, but now thanks, Negative Nancy! In the future, I hope that this doesn't cause a change as most people enjoy the Real Barber Experience! Back In Time- keep doing what you do! read more
