My son has been going to Tangles and Knots since he was one. Every time has been a great experience. Mrs Lavonda knows how to make a child feel comfortable when getting there hair cut. They get to watch tv while they get the hair done. Then they get a sweet treat afterwards only after the parent says it's ok. If you have a smaller child they also have a cute fire truck that they can sit in and ring the bell too. I drive about 30 minutes to get to Garland and it's well worth it. 10/10 would recommend!

I scheduled a 4:15pm appointment online for my son's first haircut. He's 16 mo old and had a few…read morerogue strands that were growing asymmetrically. My son loved the play area and fun chairs, however didn't like sitting alone when it was his turn. Trish was very patient and flexible with letting us get comfortable, and you can tell it's not her first rodeo working with kids. I ended up having to hold my son on my lap while she worked, and he ended up leaning his head on my chest during the entire appointment. The cut isn't completely even, but I understand his head was tilted and I was in the way due to holding him, so I'm not too bothered by it. I had to reduce a star because she was behind schedule and there was hair everywhere from previous customers. All slots are 15 min long, and she was behind schedule due to earlier cuts taking longer from rowdy kids and the fact that many of the appts were first time cut packages where she has to make a balloon, take a pic, print the certificate, etc etc. Trish definitely did her best, in my opinion, but there was a backlog of appointments due to this. They should really allot more time for first cut packages. She definitely looked rushed in cleaning the car chairs between customers. The print quality of the pic was also grainy on portions of the pic, unfortunately. They might just need to refill their ink.
