I when we walked in she sat me down and immediately started cutting my hair. She didn't even ask what I wanted or tell me what she wanted to do. I have had to cut my hair for the past few years and I'm obviously not amazing but it looked pretty good before I went in there. But while she was cutting my hair she started bashing my hair cut "whoever did your hair doesn't know how to cut hair but luckily I can" and things that. Especially how bad my layers were. She decided that I didn't look good with bangs and told me that they looked really bad and I needed to grow my hair out. Once she washed and cut my hair, I had seen how much she had cut off. She had thinned my hair out so much I looked like a wet dog. There was a bunch of hair on the top of my head and like almost none on the bottom. It looked absolutely horrible. Once she started styling my hair to be curly, she started giving me tips on how to do my hair, which was absolutely horrible and wrong, she started telling me I needed to finger my curls a certain way so they were "looser". She even was criticizing how I did my hair when I came in. Because my curls didn't look good with my face shape. I literally almost tarted crying but I thought she would actually cut my hair good and give me good advice. Once I got home I started sobbing. My hair looked horrible. She cannot cut curly hair. I cried for 2 days because my hair is my favorite feature. If I could give her 0 stars I would.

She would have left the left side of my hair a full inch longer than the right side, if I hadn't told her several times to shorten it so they'd be even. She also showed me the back, and it looked as if she had cut the top layer with a bowl. It was weird looking. I asked her to blend it more. This is the result of my haircut after much correcting and asking for her to fix problems in the chair. I finally decided to leave before she left me with no hair! She didn't appreciate that Jenny takes her time and prioritizes quality over quantity, unlike the others who seem more focused on rushing through clients and taking multiple clients all at once. I'm so glad she's now at Bella's Hair Salon, just 5 minutes down the road from Hair Faire. Plus, the owner of Bella's Hair Salon is very kind too. (He quit going when after the second time she hired him to do some work at her house and tried to swindle him, he just finally had to say enough is enough, cut his losses, walked off the job, and refused to go back to get his hair done there.) Enough about that, though. What she did to my hair and worse, and the 'dishonesty' (omission of truth is also a lie :/) about it, was the last straw. In four years I had 'only' let maybe two other people cut or colour my hair besides Jamie...but I have to get it done every five weeks so you can imagine it gets expensive. Thus, I started going to Hair Fsire. However, 95% of time I would only go for color, because Jamie is not very good with scissors. (as you can see from the picture! ?) I would go see Jamie every five weeks and she touched up my roots. Every (roughly) second time or so, I'd have her put in some highlights. The problem with Jamie is that she doesn't pay attention to the time. She's often left bleach sitting on my hair too long. This has damaged my hair of course. But the last time was two months ago. I think she was doing somebody else's hair, which was often the case ...while the bleach ' sat 'on my hair. This last time, however, she waited way too long to check it and before you know it, it was fried. I mean fried! She asked me if I wanted a trim (like I said normally I don't, but she was sort of pressing it ). It was a Saturday and I was reading my book and relaxing, and so I said yes but only to trim 'the ends' off. This is what I was left with. What happened (which I didn't peace together for a couple weeks) was she had completely fried my hair, and then cut it all /"chopped it all up" all (terrrribly lopsided uneven hatchet job) obviously trying to hide the mess .. ie the burning and singing of my hair. Much of my what must've melted off in globs My hair grow so slow. I'm going to have to grow it out for about a year now, then cut it off and regrow it all out. I admit, I ahead of time, I asked her if she would fix it, but she decided she didn't want to. She only wanted to do a conditioning treatment. No that's not gonna cover the bottles of hair vitamins that I'm having to buy to grow my hair out nor the embarrassment of walking around with my hair looking the worse it's looked in years and years. Trust me.. stay away from this place and save your money. The truth is Jamie likes to think she knows everything, that she's smarter than everyone in the room, yeah she'll sit there and talk about her old arrests, drug history, and her exes who are all in prison. Makes no sense. I listened because I felt sorry for her, but I can't imagine if I was the one running this shop and having somebody like this work here I went to her because she was the only reasonably priced person I could find for the number of times I have to get my hair done. I'm sure it'll be worth paying more now.
