This is the type of place where the stylist working the front is too busy looking at her phone to greet customers AND they switch up the stylist on you last minute. Customer service is terrible, no consultation by the stylist. When asked to blow dry, the hair was still wet when he was done LOL-- completely incompetent. If you're looking for terrible customer service, lackluster stylists, and or don't really care about your hair, then this place might be for you, tho you're better off at a great clips where they'll at least greet your and their blow dryers work. read more

I found this place after a long 6 hour drive it had a great atmosphere! Mindy (my barber) was nice had good conversation what seems to be a quick but detailed cut and beard trim. I asked for a skin tight mid-high fade, she went a little too high right off the bat but continued to use a dull straight razor which cut my head and left the back of my neck red. Comparable to your first haircut in basic training you can see the lines in my hair just all the way around one of the worst executed fades I've gotten. read more

The haircuts are not consistent. I came here several months ago and was happy with my cut. I got a haircut today, and when I got home and washed out the hair product I noticed how bad it was. The fade was horribly done and did not blend with the top. I had several people tell me how bad the cut was that day. I went to another barber to just get a buzz cut. The place is clean but can get busy as so I highly suggest an appointment. Free beers (help yourself) is always a plus after a long day or the start of your day. Prices are slightly higher but won't kill you. They do have a punch card which is really nice to offer repeat customers. I came in for a simple haircut after letting my hair grow out for months, just a taper and a bit of a trim, although the lady that cut my hair was super nice, I ended up getting about 70% of my hair chopped off, I showed a picture of exactly what I wanted and explained how all I needed was a taper and a light trim, but there goes months of hair growth I guess. read more

Great place. I went here because it was close to my home, but I will visit them if I eventually move. This was my fist time having a cut away from home, and she cut me almost exactly as my former barber. Free beer, nice smiles, long talks (maybe too long for me) but they are amazing. I have two main reasons: 1- Consistency: Sometimes they do an average work, sometimes is just not worth it. Sometimes they cut my hair in 10 minutes sometimes not. Consistency is one of the qualities I look everywhere. 2- Cleanliness (My main reason for not coming back): This for me is difficult to say just because I kept my mouth shut when I should not do it. I came in for a haircut and waited my turn for about 30 min. When my turn came up, the barber informed me that she couldn't cut my hair because I didn't have an appointment. I just moved to Texas from out of state. I'm not used to setting up appointments for a hair cut. I was super disappointed. I don't know about you, but I really value my time, and I felt like this establishment wasted my time by just letting me sit there for 30 minutes. Before you ready on, this Is a decent place to get your hair cut but I wouldn't say it's a "barber shop"... would be closer in comparison to Floydds 99.... doesn't mean it's bad but if you're looking for a true barber, this is not your joint. With that said I Asked for a 1 fade and hard part. She did a good job, I would have liked the back tapered a bit more but over all 8/10. Also lined me up and did it with a straight razor, the line up was also decent but one side was lined a bit higher than the other and I had to fix it once I got home. Pretty reasonable prices as well... 24 bucks for the cut and 6 for the tip. Pretty good shop they just need to work on there fades a bit, but overall pretty pleased, just not 5 star worthy. read more

I went there for a beard trim which I was growing for 70days. I told Ty that I wanted to face the mirror, he said he is used to do like that( us facing away from mirror). You will have no idea what he is doing till he turns you towards the mirror. Didn't even ask how I want my mouthstach. He cut it so much it appeared like I put a mouthstach with a black pen. But he did an awesome job with my beard. But I had to trim off the complete beard because of the horrible looking mouthstach. Would he nice if they can talk first about how we wanted it to be done. Was looking for a new place to get my haircut since a barber I used to rely on fell through on an appointment and has raised their price. I happened to stumble upon giving The Shop a try as it is connected to the apartment complex I live in. The Shop is clean, organized, and is like many of the new-style "Men's Grooming" salons, they offer you a beer with your cut. The hair stylist (name is forgetting me at the moment...super nice Hispanic gal), did a good job on my hair. However, my beard did not get evenly shaped up (hence why I normally prefer a traditional barber). Everyone was very professional though and the prices were slightly lower than similar type salons. May be back, may not, but definitely recommend any guy at least giving them a try. read more

There is one lady that works here (older than the others) she just won't stop talking. Been going here over a year and I still rate it a 5 out of 5! They are the most professional, and dedicated Barbers I've ever gone to. Not once have I had to wait after making an appointment. In my previous experience with great Barbers I've expected to walk in sign my name and wait hours. Getting my haircut took a whole PTO day for me before this place! Lastly I'll point out that this staff has been here since I started going here! Most Barbers who don't own a shop move around a lot. Decided to stick with the same barber each time, she remembered how we did it previous times, no complaints with still a top trim. I used to come here because it was close and convenient. I work a lot of hours so I need to be on top of my time. I used to be able to walk in and get s haircut. Apparently that's not the case anymore. I never got the memo that walk ins are not welcomed. I walked in there was one person cutting and one in the chair already. Yet they couldn't take me for another hour. People should be notified if ther don't take walk ins anymore. And I know that they take my email down every time I walk in. I also agree with that the straight edge blades should be changed every time. They are not expensive and quite unsanitary to re use a blade that could have blood on it from a previous person and an accidental cut. That is how diseases are spread. read more

So I am the guy who has gone to many different barbers because I am so picky. When I moved to the Dallas area last year I was searching for a resolution to these inconsistent haircuts that left me with unsightly razor burn. I was lucky enough to come across TY. TY is BY FAR the best barber I have ever had. He absolutely knows what he is doing. He takes the time to understand what his clients want instead of aggressively pushing what style he wants you to have.
