Well, I finally grew it out and... it's been an experience. I went as long as I could stand and finally had to get it cut. My hair curls when it gets long and it was getting ridiculous. So I got on Yelp and saw what I could find. Hello, non-manly-sounding Perfect Hair Stylist with great reviews. But lots of reviews came from guys, so hey, let's give it a shot. I had no idea what I was asking for other than, "Please clean it up a little and thin things out, because I have no idea what to do with this mess." Lynn was great about it and took things in steps, not over-killing it the first time. It looked great afterward, and I waited until the day after to write this review to make sure it still looked good the day after. (That's always the test, right?) Yep, super easy to work with this morning and still looked great. Perfect experience. And yes, still only $12. It's easy to tip big when a haircut only costs $12 and service is top notch. I made an appt ahead of time and got there a few min early - so she started a few min early as I was the first appt of the day. I was probably in the chair for 30 min as we talked through managing the rats' nest on top of my head. I'd say that's a long time for a guy's haircut. Only $12 for 30 min of quality haircut? I'll be back for sure. Oh, and even if you're only spending $12, credit card is still accepted (with a line to tip if desired). Last note - the place is actually called Perfect Hair Styles (not Stylist). So that's what you'll find on Googlemaps and the sign for the actual shop.

She asked what I wanted and went straight to it and I really like it. I am not a talker so she didn't pry. I really appreciate that! The price was great, $12! I told the guy I wanted an undercut and about an inch off the top but the first thing he did was take the clippers straight to the side of my head without sectioning off the top or anything. The fade is pretty clean but he took everything off the top even though I explained what I wanted 3 different ways before he started to make sure it was clear. It took me two years to get the cut I wanted due to barbers constantly messing it up and now it's gonna be another 6-12 months before it looks decent again

In approximately 200 visits Vikki has hit the color with perfection every time. In 15 years that has changed from just a touch of grey to fixing " mostly" grey. All those years and not one bad cut. I also get a few other services, waxing, beard trims ( when I have one ) but always a facial! I sit in the 2nd barber chair from the back on the left side (when looking in). Can't recall the barber's name. First red flag is the fact that the barber was sitting down. New barber without any clients? Maybe. Although, that was eased by the fact that the barber capes they used are Johnny B. brand. I actually get my haircuts from the owner of that brand back in L.A. so I'm assuming these barbers are well-trained. I told the barber to follow the fade. And just round off the back of my head since I have two cowlicks causing my hair to get poofy. He gave me the small mirror and I was in disbelief at my haircut. I kindly asked to fix up the sides a little. He did that. He then wet my hair and tried combing it. He was proud and I asked how much. I paid and got out of there. I was truly going to buy my own clippers and just buzz my hair. It was that bad.
