Walked in on a Friday to get a haircut. I sat down and one of the barbers was also sitting down. I…read morewas asked if I was waiting for someone and I wasn't. I sit in the 2nd barber chair from the back on the left side (when looking in). Can't recall the barber's name. First red flag is the fact that the barber was sitting down. New barber without any clients? Maybe. Although, that was eased by the fact that the barber capes they used are Johnny B. brand. I actually get my haircuts from the owner of that brand back in L.A. so I'm assuming these barbers are well-trained. I told the barber to follow the fade. And just round off the back of my head since I have two cowlicks causing my hair to get poofy. He gave me the small mirror and I was in disbelief at my haircut. I kindly asked to fix up the sides a little. He did that. He then wet my hair and tried combing it. He was proud and I asked how much. I paid and got out of there. I was truly going to buy my own clippers and just buzz my hair. It was that bad.

The lady asked me multiple times and in multiple ways how I liked my hair cut which is nice so that I got what I wanted. After she was done cutting my hair, she took me to the other side of the shop and washed my hair and massaged my scalp (and the chair was a massage chair which was also nice). I normally just get a hair cut but it was impressive treatment for a $12. I will definitely go back and may up my review then from 4 starts to 5 if the service is just as good. i just don't like giving service places 5 stars unless I have gone at least twice.

I had a horrible experience here with an older woman who cut my hair. For starters, she didn't…read morespeak English, so there was a communication problem but I didn't mind that initially since I was able to communicate that I wanted a "U" shape and only a trim. It wasn't until she began chopping into my hair aimlessly, by grabbing CHUNKS of hair, without spraying or brushing it first. I saw inches fall off right before my eyes. Luckily for me, my hair was down to my butt, so I didn't lose a crazy amount of length, however the layers are HORRENDOUS. They're so choppy and uneven. She didn't even split my hair down the middle before the cut, and she didn't have my remove my glasses before finger-combing the hair in front of my face to cut random pieces off. When she showed me the mirror, the right side of my hair was completely choppy and the left looked untouched. I figured it was best to leave at that moment to salvage what little hair I could, so I told her it was fine. I'm just so appalled at the fact that she has a job cutting womens' hair. I saw her cut a little boys hair before me, and it looked great. I understand that she might be more skilled at cutting mens hair, but if that's the case, she shouldn't even offer her services to women. Watching her grab handfuls of hair and chop into them mindlessly was so shocking. P.S; even though a haircut is advertised as $12, it's only $12 for men and $20 for women. Keep that in mind. Oh, and the cherry on top? There was a man who walked into the shop, who was conversing with the hair "stylist" in Spanish, when he began hitting on me. He asked me if I had a boyfriend, why I didn't have a boyfriend, how much money I make at my job, how much I pay for rent. I tried to be polite but it was incredibly obvious he was making oogly eyes at me the entire time I was getting my haircut which only added to the amount of stress. I wouldn't recommend this place, not even to children. It was also super dirty. Bleh.
