This was hands down the worst salon experience I've ever had. I went to Sissanyo Hair Salon asking…read morefor a full blonde transformation, and what I got was a half-done, sloppy, overpriced disaster. They gave me partial highlights, completely ignored the entire back section of my hair, and somehow managed to leave me with FOUR different tones -- none of which looked intentional. It's patchy, uneven, and honestly looks like it was done by someone still learning. Then they had the audacity to charge me $480 for this mess. I even tipped because no one told me gratuity was included -- of course, they kept quiet and let me pay extra without a word. That's dishonest. When I texted Silvia the SAME DAY asking if she could fix it, she completely ghosted me. No apology. No reply. Nothing. Just took the money and ran. That says everything you need to know about how they treat their clients. The prices are insane for the terrible service, poor technique, and zero accountability. This place hides behind a pretty view and a glass of champagne like that makes up for their lack of skill. It's all smoke and mirrors. Do NOT fall for the aesthetics -- this place is a total scam. I'm now stuck with damaged, multi-colored hair that I'll have to pay someone else to fix. Save yourself the money, the stress, and the damage. Avoid this place at all costs.

I was the only one in the salon. I arrived to a symphony playing that enveloped my mood. Calming and at the same time building an epic moment. He spent a good 30 minutes on my forest visit choosing the color. Spot on with what he envisions and works with you to get to know your perfect choice. Meanwhile he had prepared a cappuccino, with 2 biscoff, chocolate with coconut and fired pineapple and fig. And Icey water. In the most elegant caring way possible and you learn of color while sippin a frothy cap. He is a one man show. And it's a privilege to have his undivided sole attention. He takes his time to care for your hair using systems that protect the hair. He does not delay in his stealth ess and is gentle though very quick in application. Groupon brought me to FeNom, and I hope to come back later on…read more I called 15 minutes before my appt to let them know I was running a little late, and my stylist Alissa was understanding. When I arrived, I really had no clue what I wanted - stylist's nightmare, I'm sure. I had had long hair for so long, I couldn't picture myself with any other hairstyle. After clipping off the bleached ends of my mane, Alissa shampooed and conditioned while we chatted a bit about life. (Note, water did make its way down my neck and back during this experience) Alissa had suggested layers framing my face and the rest of my hair - my only concern was I wanted to maintain some length, which she reassured me I would. Snip snip away! 45 minutes and a styling blow dry later, my head was so much lighter. It was crazy. Well, according to friends, it's still long, but I feel the difference. And it feels so strong and healthy. After about 2 weeks, I'm finally used to the feel of the layers. The only note that I had was the location - if your GPS tells you to U-turn at the light, do not! You want to left turn and then turn left again, following the road back until you see a two-story strip mall. It's an awkward location, and in the evening, there is very little lighting around the building and the stairwells. Nonetheless, I'm pleased with my experience at FeNom, and with Alissa. They sent reminder texts to confirm my appointment, and were very accommodating. If you let FeNom know Stacy referred you, we both get a percentage off our services!

It is ironic because I used this salon for a groupon haircut/blow which is a set price and you…read moredon't need to go in for a consultation. So, I decided to try it out for my highlights since I use a salon down the street which I also found on yelp that has much higher reviews than this one and has been in business for over 30 years. I wasn't unhappy with the place I use I just wanted to try someone new and read about Jessica the owner. I tried to make an earlier appointment 3:30 but they couldn't do it so I had a 4:00. Regardless I went in at 3:30 because I came from work and running errands around the area with traffic just isn't easy. I walk in at 3:35 and what do you know not one person in the salon getting their hair done. Perfect ! In a weird way so, I can actually start earlier and get out earlier .I sat down and told Jessica what I wanted plain and simple. I showed her a picture of my hair, and said just match that please. Full highlights with her are $175 higher than most places in the area for a hole in the wall salon, but she had good reviews. Next, she started going on a rampage about my hair I need this, and that, and this and that. I told her I had a baby and at 6 months lost hair around the frame of my face. She told me no it is because my hair is damaged and needs a treatment for that. REALLY??????? So, my gynecologist whom went to 15 years of college is wrong? But, Jessica knows more because she never had a baby. Strike 1. I talked her out of the doing . She then comes back with a price of $247 that for highlights/gloss mind you no blowout, no haircut, and no deep conditioning treatment. I never felt so uncomfortable you know those people that try to sell snow to an Eskimo? Well, they must be related to Jessica because she is greedy, and tries to sell you everything possible to the point it is almost obnoxious. I walked out of the salon and booked an appointment back with the girl I always use for 1/2 the price and the same amazing job ! The ironic thing is that salon has higher yelp reviews and is 40 blocks south !!!!!!!

Both times I came in after 7 PM, but still well before the posted closing time. The first time, I was told they were closing soon even though there was still plenty of time before closing. The second time, I was told they were understaffed and would not be able to cut my daughter's hair, even if I was willing to wait. I completely understand that staffing issues can happen, and I also understand not wanting to take on a service too close to closing. However, if the salon is unable to accommodate haircuts after a certain time, it would be helpful to have that communicated clearly so customers know ahead of time. The actual haircuts have been good, but these experiences have made me hesitant to come back, especially when I'm making the effort to bring my daughter in before the advertised closing time.
