This past friday afternoon my girlfriend walked into supercuts looking for a simple and quick haircut. unfortunately she was met with an older lady mid 50s, brown hair, and glasses who made her feel every bit of uncomfortable from the start. as she walked in asking if they were open she yells "if we weren't open i wouldn't be here." starting off with blatantly refusing to provide her with the haircut she requested, saying "zero is crazy i will be leaving some hair." continuing to make her feel uncomfortable she asks her "what her mother thinks of her haircut", mind you she's 27. telling her that she needed to "stop texting, you're like a little kid i am going to have to take your phone away." ultimately for her to be charged $23 for a haircut she is not happy with. i am extremely unhappy with the way she was treated from beginning to end of the appointment. luckily for the woman's sake, my gf is a lot more polite than me because she definitely wouldn't of walked away with a tip, or for that matter at all. i genuinely suggest you work on creating an environment where your clients feel safe and welcome from start to finish, because everything about how she was treated is truly disgusting. 0/10 for us. read more

In a pinch called this salon for a quick root touch up. One color application short brown hair. Stylist washed my hair with yellow kitchen sink rubber gloves and placed an old dirty looking towel on my head and had me "dry off". Charged $65 for root touch up which is what much higher end salons with much better service charge. Stay away. Awful. read more

I have been to other Supercuts locations in the Miami area, but was running errands in the area of this location and checked in through the Supercuts app to be added to their list. I showed up a few minutes after my estimated time to show up at the salon and gave one of their stylists my name and she said.. "we busy now" and said it would be 15-20 minutes. That was ok, because I was a few minutes after my estimated time to get there. When it was time for my haircut, they have you wash your hands and then start the haircut with a shampoo. The stylist said it's mandatory per their owner that all customers have a shampoo prior to their haircut due to COVID-19. The stylist, Yolanda, did a very lackluster job on the shampoo, so I thought it was honestly a rip off that first I was required to have a shampoo and then when doing so that a shampoo service was barely done. For the haircut, I showed Yolanda some photos of how my hair was previously cut and she seemed to understand. About half to 75% of my hair was cut properly, but on the front, she left it gapped in areas - I didn't realize it until I got home. :( Yolanda also didn't style my hair with product or provide the hot towel service that Supercuts is known for. I've had much better service from other Miami Supercuts employees, however I was disappointed with service during this visit. read more

I've been going to this Supercuts location off and on over the past 2 years. My most recent experience was great. I only had to wait about 10 min and my hairstylist Matthew M. was excellent!! He was very professional, nice conversation and this haircut is one of the best I've ever had. In the past other hairstylist sometimes don't understand how to cut men's hair, but Matthew gets it. I'll be going back for next haircut. Also, as far as Covid regulations, they're spot on. They have hand sanitizer at the register, everyone has masks and they shampoo your hair free of cost and the buzzers seemed extra sanitized (strong chemical smell, which is good). It is absolutely worth noting that I have been to Supercuts a few times and higher and have sat with a few different stylus. Never once have I come across a stylist like Ramona. She is very professional and very punctual and also is an expert at what she does. She's really great at doing layering as well as faith as well which is up which is very impressive for a woman stylus. If you are looking to use any barber or stylus I recommend requesting Ramona as again I believe that she will do the best job and help you find the best haircut that will fit your preferred look. I can guarantee you that if I go to Supercuts again which I definitely will she will be the only one that touching my hair. It goes without saying that she is an absolute asset and provides great value to your company and she should definitely be recognized for that as well. read more

Fool me one, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me - highly doubt there will be a third time. I only come to Super Cuts because it's 5 minutes from my home and I need my ends clipped, BUT it's never a pleasant experience. My first visit, the woman told me "I don't cut Afro hair" ma'am - I don't have Afro hair. I have straightened hair which you can cut if you look beyond my skin color. Second time I went in for a cut, I told the beautician that I had an appointment for 11 and before she could even check she told me no. I corrected her and as her check online and then she hesitantly confirmed. Hair is hair. If I'm trusting you all to cut my hair, my expectation is that I walk out with my hair cut. Fortunately both trims turned out well because my hair is very much manageable, but the initial service always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn't recommend if you a person of color, despite your hair texture. read more

Terrible haircut! They don't understand the concept of a high fade, or any fade in general.

My brother goes here all the time to see Himler. He says he's the only person that can get his hair right. My mom and I have had very different experiences. I've had one good haircut here from a woman that no longer works here. Other than that, I'd say stay away unless you're a guy that isn't fussy about his cut. There is almost always a wait, and when I went in the other day, it felt really disorganized and chaotic. Himler ended up cutting my hair, but was distracted trying to help another stylist mix color for someone. I had a picture of the haircut I wanted. It was basically the haircut I currently had. I just wanted a little bit of a trim and needed some of the layers cleaned up a bit. I even showed him how much to trim and thought I made it clear that I wanted it to keep it long. I didn't want to go somewhere else and pay 40 bucks for a trim, and I figured Supercuts could handle something simple. I was wrong. I don't know if it was a language barrier or if he was distracted, but my hair is a little over an inch shorter than what I wanted. I posted about it on Twitter, and Supercuts wrote to me saying I could go in and get it fixed, but they can't grow my hair back...so I'm stuck with shorter hair this summer instead of the longer, sexy waves that I've been trying to grow out for months. For $15, I guess this is worth it for some, but I'm definitely disappointed. read more

Horrible horrible experience!!!! Ive been to this salon maybe once every other year since I was a child. I came into the salon thinking my long hair would be in nice long layers when I walked out. Honestly I should've left and gotten up from the seat. The second I walk to the chair the lady immediately said "so young with so many gray hairs??" Umm hello ma'am its not my fault I am a very stressed girl with parents who grayed early too. Then she she said "omg dandruff too?" She touched my hair in disgust. Why doesnt she focus on herself and her wrinkles or her dry hair ? I ignored the comments. I then told her i want long layers and side bangs. Please keep my hair as long as you possibly can, dont cut too much, only 1 inch. The first cut she made was about 3 inches deep, by then too late. My hair coming in was waist length super long and now its not even half way down my back. My "layers" are my bangs which make up about half my head around and the end of my hair is the second later. At checkout I chose the option of no tip, looked at the receipt and threw it at the counter. Why is she upset if i gave her specific instructions and failed to follow any of them and also said two remarks about my hair quality. Never again. read more

The stylist in this store refused to service my mixed daughter, who is 6, saying that her hair is impossible to do. I think it's because I was black that they proceeded to insult me in Spanish, thinking I couldn't understand what they were saying. Until I said that I understand everything because I'm Dominican. They stayed at me shocked. I made an appointment for a Super Cut Jr. I came in with my daughter for my daughter not for me. I am a black mother this is very upsetting to be discriminated against. I stood outside the store crying because of this experience. A day that was supposed to be a mother daughter pamper day became one of discrimination and having to explain to her why they couldn't do her hair. I have never experienced this from SuperCuts but if this is what you stand for I want no parts. It has got me thinking if my daughter was a different color and had a different hair type she would've been able to her hair done. I literally had to fight back my tears so that she didn't see me crying. Even though we're in 2022, racism still exist down to the hair type. This was very upsetting and sad. read more

Bad experience at this location. Waited for over an hour with two children and then they put someone ahead of us. I asked when was our turn and she said we were next. Then they took another person ahead of us after they told us we were next. They do not know how to use there registration system and the stylist were with a great lack of energy. I was their last week and had my hair cut with Maria the store Manager. I have been going to this Supercuts for almost 10 years. Once I left i realized that I had left my sunglasses on her counter. I called 10 min later and spoke to her and she assured me that they would she would hold on to them. I returned several days later and she indicated that she gave them to another customer all with a grin on her face?? She didnt ask for a name or a description of my glasses from this "other" customer before she gave them to this person?? Stay away from this woman! Their are great people working their. What a horrible experience I had this afternoon. I walked in with my two daughters for a trim. The manager there (I guess) cut one of my daughters hair and proceeded to leave it wet. I asked for it to be dried and she said it was a separate fee (information that would've been useful when I first walked in). Their mediocre cuts were 20 each...the blow dry , 35 each! An extra 70.00?!!! I said no thank you and said quietly to him (we were across the room), I would dry their hair at home and that I wasn't returning. At that point she butted into my conversation, in front of the entire salon and proceeded to become verbally abusive, obviously offended as to why I wasn't returning! She did this infront of my kids...the gloves came off!!! I decided to walk over to her to discuss this more privately, as a normal adult would do. I told her I was displeased because she never told me that the blow dry would be 35 each as she should have in the beginning when I was explaining what I wanted. She started screaming and walking around to make sure all her clients could hear. What an idiot!!!! The funny thing is that I would've paid it, but after her classless rant about not working for free and that I was in the wrong, not only would I never return, but I felt I owed it to the public to know the truth about this place! Don't go there! My daughters hair is uneven and stiff! I had to re wash it and even out her horrible hack job! If anyone goes there, she has the first chair on the right. I came here for about 2 years or so and had Maria (who was the Manager) cut my hair which is loose but naturally curly. I had finally gotten it longer, a little below my shoulders, and had been going in there about every 6 weeks to get it trimmed, ends dusted to keep them healthy and growing, and the layers defined and also to maintain the length on the sides. Maria seemed to comply and listened and understood exactly what I needed. Now I find out they transferred her to a location that is an uncomfortable distance from me, and rather than go the mileage out of my way, not to mention the high price of gas these days, as well as forever searching for a place to park in that location which has meters, I called customer service to discuss this problem. They were very understanding, and forwarded my concerns to a supervisor, or regional manager (not sure what exactly her title was) but she was just as rude and caustic as the woman who answered the phone who claimed her name was something than it really was, and said she was not the manager replacing Maria, when I knew for a fact that she was, having been told by the Area Supervisor, Madeline just that day! Not only was this woman who answered the phone twice using the name Ana and later I find out it's Sandra from Madeline, was disinterested and rude, saying I'm working now, I can't talk to you, but she was totally apathetic and rude. She denied being the manager of that shop location, even after I advised her that Madeline had just told me she was! Now, here's how the plots curdles even more. I speak to this unbelievably rude, harsh person named Amancia, who Customer Service had forwarded the initial complaint to, and I asked her if I could possibly get coupon(s) emailed to me, stating that I used to get them but haven't gotten them for awhile, to offset the cost of the haircut, now that I would have to travel way out of my way to see Maria. And she screamed over the phone, anyone who thinks of Supercuts that way and I quote her saying "I WILL GIVE THEM NOTHIN". Well, this just proves to me that the FISH STINKS FROM THE TOP DOWN! BOTTOM LINE: I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE WHO DESIRES PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND PROFICIENT SERVICE NEVER TO ENTER THESE DOORS! They couldn't get me to come back to that location of any other SUPERCUTS ever anywhere if they paid me for the haircut and all future haircuts. I STILL WOULDN'T GO. They don't know this, but they actually did me a HUGE favor because now I have found a very caring, talented, professional, courteous stylist who not only knows actually how to cut my hair, but makes me feel welcomed and satified to boot!
