    Back for my quarterly haircut and Karen did a fabulous job as per usual. I have pretty long hair and I've been flirting with the idea of getting it cut super short... but baby steps lol. She really impressed me last time with exactly what I wanted, so I felt that I was in good hands. Told her what the rules were (be able to pick it up high even if it's short & that it complimented my face), showed her a couple pics that inspired the change... and voila! It feels so nice and light and it's not an overwhelming change. I love it!!!! As always I leave FeNom salon one happy human ‍‍‍

    I came to this salon to fix some darkness on the top of my head. I simply asked for bold blonde highlights and showed a picture. Karen told me we can add highlights and a gloss I then asked how much she told me $78 and asked if I wanted to proceed. After it was done there was minimal highlights and while it was still wet I decided to dry it at home,,, I came then made another appointment came in again and explained how I was not lighter and wanted it bolder chunky and again it was not! Jessica the owner is vey rude and unprofessional she did not even see my hair or try to assist me she tried make her employee right and say I was wrong That's not how you treat a customer I asked for a refund and she refused don't go here they seem to think the customer is wrong and will not care about what you are looking for!

    After Shelby gave me an amazing updo for a swim week event, I booked an appointment with her the following week for color & cut. She gave perfect advice in order to keep the integrity of my healthy hair, while still delivering the color I was looking for. A root touch up & clear gloss was followed by the best cut I've had since relocating from Palm Beach a year ago. I'm ecstatic with my results & that I've found my new home salon away from South Beach. Fenom & Shelby provide the same customer service (even the amaze scalp massage in the bowl after my conditioner) that I've become accustomed to sans ridiculous price tag. Already looking forward to booking my next blowout or updo, they're the best !

    Yes, I am a fan. I found this place through a Groupon deal and decided to give it a try based on the excellent reviews I read on Yelp. I called and made my appointment 2 weeks in advance and on the day of my appointment I was running late and called to see if they would be able to push my appointment back about 30 minutes to 2:30pm. The very nice receptionist Lauren told me that she did not have me down for this day but for the week after and that they were completely booked up for the entire day... I panicked. I absolutely needed to get my hair done that day as I was leaving out of town the next morning. Although it is a mystery on how my appointment date got switched, (definitely not by me as I purposely made the appointment for my out of town event which date was written in stone) Lauren understood my concern and tried her best to help look for a solution by calling other clients to see if they were willing to change their appointment times. I waited to hear back from her nervously for about an hour. I was frankly freaking out! :( Lauren called me back with good news, she explained that she contacted the owner of the salon and explained the issue and the owner instructed her to have me come in at 3:30pm. When I arrived, all the ladies that worked there greeted me warmly and apologized for this very unusual mishap. They offered me some champaign as I waited and I was advised that Alyssa would shampoo and deep condition my hair. Afterwards, Shelby who does not take Groupon's volunteered to cut my hair and start my blow dry to help make things right for me and she did. She then turned me back over to Alyssa to finish my blowout and style as she had another client waiting. Both Shelby and Alyssa did a great job with my hair! I was very pleased. I don't know why my hair likes to frizz up so easily but unfortunately by the time I got home, my beautiful styled hair had frizzed up bad. Darn it! But nonetheless, I really enjoyed my time at FeNom and have found a new hair salon - Yeah! Their prices are pretty reasonable and my haircut was great. One of the best I've ever had. So safe to say I will return when I want to get my hair done again. Thank you to the owner Jessica for taking the time and initiative to making a crazy bad situation into a good customer service experience. Thank you Shelby for the great cut and for helping with starting my blowout and thank you Alyssa for the great shampoo and styling. Oh yes, can't forget to thank Lauren also that made it all come together. You ladies made my day!

    I can't say enough great things. I've always found myself bouncing from stylist to stylist because I was never convinced that they fully knew what they were doing or they wouldn't educate me on the process so I would know what to expect. Jessica from FeNom Salon is the real deal and I'm super glad I was referred to her when I moved to the area. She is very patient and does a great job at educating her clients and giving options. I'm always happy with the end result even when it's a work in progress. And even more importantly, my hair has become much healthier with her help (she recommends great products and explains how to use them too). I wouldn't look any further and just book with Jessica if you can!

    SO! I have been going to FeNom for a 4/5 months now, and it's about time I write a review!!! This is hands down the best salon I have ever been to. I originally picked the place because they use Pureology and Redken products, which I love and I have such sensitive skin and hair so I need to use Redken chromatics dyes for my scalp health. My Hair has never been healthier in my entire life!! And for what I do to it, you would think it would be fried.. These girls really really care so much about taking care of you. They are all very passionate and know what they are talking about, but the trick is, you have to LISTEN to what they say and how they are telling you to take care of your hair. Anyone can go to any random salon and get your hair done, but these girls really care and want you to look your best, even in between sessions. Jessica has really taught me so much on how to take care of my own hair. I always love whenever I go it because it feels like family now and I always have so much fun. The price is exceptional for the high end products they use. I was used to paying $600 to get my hair done. Mind you, I have to get my very dark natural hair lifted (lightened to blonde) first, and then Jessica puts the fire red on it afterwards. Even after all of that, not only is my sensitive skin and scalp completely fine, the price is way more reasonable!!! I also have very long thick hair and I used to have the worst split ends all over the place, even after I would get it done and now it's still thick all the way to the ends and shiny and just healthy! Try this place at least once. I promise you will not be disappointed! :)

    The service is usually very good, but the problem is getting an appointment here is a mission ALWAYS and if you dont pay in advanced $100 they wont book your appointment. Its the only salon I know that always makes it a mission to come in.

    I found Fenom by recommendation from a friend and made an appointment with Kimmy. She looked at a couple of photos that I brought and then cut my hair exactly like I wanted. She was really thorough and did a beautiful blow dry. Iwalked out with a huge grin on my face. Thank you, Kimmy!!

    I truly wish I could leave a better review, but my experience at this location yesterday morning…read morewas extremely disappointing...especially because I booked an up-do appointment ahead of a huge milestone: the grand opening of my art studio. I wanted to look and feel my best, and unfortunately that didn't happen here. I arrived on time, had sent my inspiration photos to the salon ahead of time (as advised), and came prepared with very clear reference images for a simple, messy mid-height bun with volume and some hair framing my eyes. I have fine hair and know it needs teasing and hairspray (I even do a simple version of this style myself) so nothing I asked for was unrealistic. My stylist, Deana, seemed distant and unfriendly from the moment the appointment started. I even had to ask her name five minutes in. The energy felt off from the beginning. About halfway through I turned my chair around to get a look, and my heart dropped. The front looked flat, unflattering, and nothing like the inspiration photos. When I politely and gently tried to give feedback, she was very cold and passive-aggressive. Even the client and stylist next to us picked up on the tension. She told me she "couldn't do" what I asked for, which was confusing because it was a very standard up-do. The appointment was booked for an hour, yet she rushed through it in about 30 minutes and immediately moved on to her next client. It felt incredibly rushed and uncomfortable. When I went to check out, the lovely stylist at the front saw I was upset, took one look at my inspiration photos, and honestly told me that my hair needed a lot more teasing and shouldn't have been done that way. She kindly sat me down and tried to fix it, but unfortunately there wasn't enough time because I had to get to my makeup appointment. Despite the rushed service and the visibly poor result, my stylist offered me only $5 off of the $90 price...and then asked how much I wanted to tip. Given the situation, that felt extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable. The bun itself was cute from the back, but the front looked flat, unfinished, and already had pins falling out. Even I (not a professional) could tell the lack of teasing and hairspray made it impossible for the style to hold or have enough volume. Thankfully, when I arrived at Charlotte Tilbury for my makeup appointment, the team there immediately noticed and felt terrible for me. One of their artists who used to be a professional hairstylist graciously redid my entire up-do from scratch for free, and made me look absolutely beautiful for my big day!!! They said that what I was asking for as inspiration was indeed possible and straight forward to achieve. I'm so grateful for them! It's a shame because the other stylists at Blo Blow Dry Bar seemed friendly and were creating gorgeous styles on their clients. But my own experience was rushed, unprofessional, and shockingly uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

They were nice and friendly and I was running late and they were able to accommodate me. No mention of a supposed fee. As they were lovely and I liked my blow out, I signed up for the membership that's 2 blowouts a month. I decided today to go aventura as I'm heading to the mall for shopping. I call to move my appointment by 15-30 minutes and THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $25. Not even at a hair salon do they do this. When I did this same thing at the coconut creek location did they mention a fee. Had I known there was a fee, I wouldn't have booked the appointment. I would walked in. I spoke to the manager and she was ADAMANT about charging me. I guess the $25 goes directly to her paycheck. Honestly terrible experience Also- I thought the girl who did my blowout did a good job but of course at closer inspection, my hair is way at the root. I know I have thin hair but she spent a short time on my hair. The place was small, dirty, and HOT. I don't get why the AC wasn't blasting at a place where hot tools are being used. As I was checking out, I said I was a member and I should be fine and THEY STILL CHARGED ME. the incompetence of this place is wild. This location needs to shut down.

    No, just no. I booked a Groupon shampoo and blow dry appointment on their Vagaro page to prepare…read morefor a wedding last week. I got a confirmation call for the appointment from someone at the salon the day before. Their Groupon brings a $50 blow dry service to 50% at $25, which really helps someone like me who wasn't trying to spend a fortune trying to look nice for a wedding. I don't know if they discriminate their clients based on Groupon usage, because I wish I had the thrilling experience that some of these other reviewers have described. I walked into the salon on time for the appointment and was greeted by no one, with a stylist, who was intently talking to a woman in a chair to the point where I couldn't tell whether she was a friend or a client, just looked at me and resumed his conversation. The girl who would do my shampooing came out, greeted me and took me to a shampoo chair. She had me move chairs a few minutes later because something in the sink of the other one wasn't working. This girl did a nice job, asking me about the temperature of the water she was using (I told her it was chilly) and thoroughly washing my scalp (I had worked out and showered without washing my hair, so I looked a hot mess). She directed me to a chair, and the stylist walked over. From my reservation, her name was Adva, and that's the only way I knew her name, because she did not introduce herself. She simply walked over, said "You're doing just a blow dry?" and proceeded to get styling tools out from the shelf in front of the chair. She looked like she was in a bad mood, almost angry at something, and you could tell in the way she repeatedly forcefully pulled my hair with the round brush to the point where my neck kept snapping back and forth. Her only question before starting was short: "You want it straight?" "Um, yeah, I just want some volume in it." Adva went on to take time sectioning my hair and drying it meticulously. She used no heat protectant. A few minutes into the blow dry, she turned my chair away from the mirror to face the other salon chairs, so I couldn't tell what she was doing, but I found out at the end that she had dried my hair outwards so that the ends had a major flip curl out. She took some hair serum and put it on my hair; there was no hair spray or any other styling product used. I looked like a failed 60s go go girl. I couldn't bring myself to tell her that this wasn't what I had intended---I'm not an aggressive salon client who specifies particular styles, and I was frankly afraid of her and the scowl she had on her face before, during and after the treatment. The only time I saw her smile was after she had marked my Groupon redeemed and I gave her a cash tip. I had to go home and run a curling iron through my hair to undo the flip job. I'll go find another salon whose hair stylist that will take the time to talk to me and tell me what styles they offer, not one that they feel like doing that day.
