First, the technician filed my nails down so much when I told her I was trying to grow them out. Looking from a palm view you can't even see my nail over my finger tip anymore. I had asked for rounded and she gave me more of an almond shape. Second, she made me bleed while filing my nail. Not only did she make me bleed she continued to try and file that spot two more times! This is concerning because I'm pregnant and being very conscious of not going to nail salons with any nicks/cuts/wounds on my hands or feet, I'm not sure how clean their tools are, and she dropped the file on the ground and kept using it. Last, the first color I chose was very faint so I asked if we can choose a different brand/color. The second one was also faint and required four layers. And it was an uneven color and there's a fuzz stuck on my thumb nail. The products they use are subpar and do not match the color of the samples. I didn't have the patience or time to ask for them to redo it, nor did they offer any discount. There's a salon right across the street that I've had way better experiences at and encourage you to go to if you're in the area. I decided to go here because I completed a return at UPS next door right before. I always feel bad leaving reviews like this, but friendly staff doesn't overcome bad service.

Off the back, he gets 4 stars versus 5 because I don't like paying a fee to swipe any card. I don't pay ATM fees nor any fee for my money. With that, cash is a bother and quite inconvenient to get. Yet, this whole fee thing passed on to consumers seems to be a standard in Charlotte. He is on Style Seat. He is always on time. This is essential for me. I trust him with the kid and that is a big deal like bigger than I'll permit about anyone in my hair but not the kid's hair. He does steam conditioning which I prefer. He doesn't try and throw in work that's not needed. I've brought in the kid for a trim and he's like, "I promise it doesn't need it." I'm usually a stickler for every six (6) weeks yet trust his guidance when he says nope not yet. He also worked with my hair when I left being natural after 9+ years and went back to relaxing. The kid has never been relaxed nor had chemicals and his press & curls last on the 4D hair that the kid presents (70% 4d maybe 20% 4c the rest is even tougher). P.S. He will answer or text you. I have never had to wait long for a follow up even when we haven't been in a while due to wearing braids. Oh! That's another thing, I'll take his advice on what to do for haircare. It's not about short term styles that look great but will kill our hair. I'll sport a sew-in or wig for that. He braids as well for the vixen - he set us up. I don't think he crochets as he referred the lady in the next station. P.P.S. There's a Mexican place next door. Town & Country Ford in the same lot. Adam & Eve at the other end of the plaza with a Barber shop in the lot as well.
