I'm a chocolate chip cookie snob - when I heard about this place, I had to try to it. It certainly does not live up to the hype. The atmosphere is loud and chaotic. The music is blaring and there was no organization to the line. The employees at the counter didn't seem interested in trying to get people through the line while some folks in the line were more interested in socializing, waiting for someone or just gawking. The menu could be a little more clear for those who've never been here. Of course the incredibly loud music didn't help. Once we got to place our order -- first thing the nephew ordered a drink: "that's not working right now." Order placed and waited and waited for a dozen cookies. A VERY, VERY expensive dozen cookies. Now, a good solid cookie could save this place and make it a "must go to." Sadly, it's a tragically bland cookie that's lacking any character or real flavor. A little more sugar (granulated and brown), a little variety in the chocolate (dark, etc) would go a long way in improving this cookie. Once you order they give you a number to take to your table and they make them fresh to order and bring them to you when they are ready! Let me tell you they were both absolutely amazing!!!! The OG is just a traditional chocolate chip cookie with vanilla Ice cream and hot fudge. The Cookie monster is a chocolate chip cookie with blue moon ice cream with mini chips ahoy cookie with hot fudge. We both literally ate every bite ! I cannot wait to go back. At first glance I thought this was going to be a wonderful. That 16 mile corridor has such a nice little restaurant niche, that it would be fun to have a place to go catch a small dessert afterwards. I'm not sure if this is a franchise or if it's someone trying to make it on their own? It definitely needs a little bit more work. The cookies were good, were they $4 cookies? I don't think so. There were two people working, two customers in the store not including myself and my friend. I ordered four cookies and they were out of one of them, he told me he could make some for me but it would be 20 minutes. I don't know about you, but my Pillsbury cookies at home only take 10 to 12 minutes to bake and these are very close to that maybe just a little larger. One thing I may suggest to the people working there that you really have to clean the glass, I'm sorry I wasn't going to bring it up but the showcases were both full of smeared fingerprints and then when I walked out the door the entire door was full of fingerprints. Good cookies, but the whole concept confused me and the staff did not really explain much. I stumbled across this place after grabbing dinner across the way. I have a massive sweet tooth, so was sold on the name alone. However, when I got inside, there was nothing in the cases and it looked like it was closing, despite the posted hours saying it was open until 11p. They had no cookies on display and it appeared they baked cookies fresh and then let you top it with assorted goodies. The guy behind the counter was very nice, but did not provide much explanation. We ended up getting a M&M, Smore and red Velvet cookie. All were very tasty, but none appeared to be baked fresh. I think this lace needs to do a better job of explaining their concept to the customers, do let them get the intended experience. The S'more shake tasted like absolutely NOTHING. I tried twice to mix the ingredients better to at least get some semblance of flavor out of it, but to no avail. I ended up just throwing it out. The guy that made it saw me throw it out and asked if it was bad. I told him there was no flavor. He simply said sorry. No offer of a different item or even an offer to make a new shake in case there was a mistake with the last one. We found Cookieee Boys as we were dining nearby and decided to give it a try! As skillet cookie lovers, it seemed like a great place to try, but unfortunately it missed the mark. Upon walking in, I immediately noticed how the shop had a musty smell to it, and the dessert case was mostly bare and looked picked over. The menu does not show prices so be sure to ask or else that is a fun surprise at check out. We ordered the share size of the "freestyle" (aka cookie in a deep dish pan with ice cream and toppings). There are multiple cookie options such as chocolate chip, sugar, peanut butter, cookie monster, and more. The ice cream flavors I remember seeing were vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, and cookie monster. The toppings were cinnamon toast crunch, chocolate chips, marshmallows, Oreos, fruity pebbles, and graham crackers. They also had drizzle syrups to add such as chocolate, fudge, peanut butter, white chocolate, and caramel. The menu was very minimal and in my personal opinion, the cookie to ice cream to topping to sauce options did not seem like a cohesive flavor palette what-so-ever. Id like to see a few staple menu items like a classic chocolate chip cookie menu item (cookie, vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips/marshmallows/sprinkles with caramel sauce) and then one for each of the other cookie bases. Maybe adding a fruit sauce to the menu to pair with the peanut butter cookie and create a pb&j option. Upon receiving our freestyle cookie, we were disappointed to find out the cookie is as thin as the pan bottom. Like, it barely goes past the tip of the spoon. The deep dish pans used to serve were very misleading as I thought there'd be more cookie to enjoy. The chocolate chip cookie itself was very basic, and comparable to nestle tollhouse dough from the store. The cookie monster ice cream flavor is more like Superman or blue moon, so the fruitiness pairs well with the fruity pebbles topping! When building your own, you get a cookie, ice cream choice, 3 toppings, and 1 sauce. The employee behind the counter told us we could get 2 sauces so we did. However, only 1 ended up on our order. The employees were busy hanging out together in the back talking so we didn't even bother trying to flag them down over a sauce. The ambiance of the eating area was very off putting. There was no music playing over head so the room was uncomfortably quiet with a few tables all whispering to each other because talking at a normal level felt too loud. It was just an unwelcoming atmosphere to be in. While I do not think we will return to this business, I wish them well! read more

Great product, love their whole menu. However, the place is ALWAYS filthy. I've never been to their Troy location without all the tables being covered in people's spilled ice cream and cookies. Have found the same mess on tables night to night as well, showing that the particular table never got cleaned over a 24 hour span. Plenty of room for improvement, young owners likely still figuring out running a small restaurant. I know they'll figure it out over time which will improve my rating. read more
