Requested Cook to update my screened porch. It was 25 yrs old and we had a leak from roof after the ice storm this winter. Daniel and Christian did a great job correcting the roof, new screens and other updates. They also did a great job cleaning up afterward. Gutters, on time, great price, recommended a painter who was fantastic. Of course, now that the gutters are on, we have not had rain. But I have a lifetime warranty if there are any problems! Highly recommended. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I normally love giving local, family-owned companies huge shout-outs and great reviews. Sadly, Cook Siding & Windows is not one of those companies. Our 7-10 day project lasted nearly 8 months (from contract to final inspection). We did have two installers and the final project manager (Malachi) who entered the project in the last 2-3 weeks who were excellent. Kudos to them! Everything else related to this project was a complete disappointment. Falsehoods, unexplained delays, subcontract workers tearing up the yard/project space, then disappearing for months at a time, mismatched materials, incorrect materials, sub-par work in places, permitting issues and unanswered calls and texts to our sales rep, other project managers and ultimately Cook's president for several months. We experienced all of this and more. This company is not the same company from years past. They used to be reputable and reliable. Some of this can be blamed on Covid (that is why we requested that they not even start the project until ALL materials had come in - which we quickly found out was not the case), but the falsehoods, ultimate lack of communication, errors in ordering materials and the irresponsibility of the subcontractors that they hired was Cook's responsibility and could not be attributed to Covid. This company must want only one shot at your business and money because they surely don't do anything to secure your future business. read more

On the tightest of deadlines we needed Cook Siding to install siding, new gutters, and shutters. They outperformed and wowed us. All on a tight budget and schedule, they allowed us to get our house listed on time! read more

The PVC privacy fence between our property and the attached home of our neighbor was scraping the siding that had been previously installed by Cook Siding. I made a call to Cook Siding this past Monday regarding the situation and on Tuesday the Tech Rep was here to inspect and on Wednesday the Tech returned to correct the situation. I do not know any of the Cook personnel, but over the last 15 years or so they have installed siding and windows on and in my detached garage, 3 replacement and 1 bay windows in my office and have done an excellent job on each of the 4 times I've contracted with them. The windows are air and weather tight and are real improvements to my home's appearance and well worth the fair price I was charged. The installers were knowledgeable, polite and prompt. I need some storm doors; I think Ill call Cook. read more

I strive to be honest and fair with all my business dealings. I take the time to understand the task at hand and what's involved to accomplish it and during the process I verify that no corners are cut and the job is done correctly, professionally, in a timely manner and typically above the expectations of all involved. This is not the case with Cook Siding and Window specifically Jessie Cook. I discovered after the vinyl siding job on my house was complete that house wrap was left off one side of my house. Not until over 2 months did Jessie finally get his crew out to remove the vinyl siding and install the promised house wrap. No excuse for such lack of professionalism and delay to correct a mistake on their behalf. To top it off he charged me full price! read more

Been waiting a few months to get my fence repaired. Always the same answer - waiting on parts. It's been 3.5 months. My fence was damaged by the landscapers, who contracted with Cooks to repair it. They started the job but never finished because "they ran out of parts." Now they are saying I can't do anything about them because I didn't contract to have the fence fixed, the landscape company did. Well you started the job, so a pretty poor excuse for not finishing what you started. I can not recommend anyone using a business that hides behind such lame excuses. read more

Complete waste of time and energy, don't bother with these guys. I asked them if they were still interested in making repairs to my building and if not, I would schedule other folks. The owner responded that they were still interested and would come out when a crew was complete with their current project and he would let me know something. I have called/texted multiple times and left numerous voicemails and have received no response in a week and a half. read more

Started this project June 11th. Sales rep came out with in the week. After a couple of months called up be told the original sales rep no longer worked with them as nothing was done and no contact for months. Finally another sales rep was assigned to us and he came out to match the color of the siding. After a couple of weeks they sent out Chris with the material. He dropped off the material on Thursday and said he would be back early the next morning. He showed up mid day worked for a hour said he would be back on Saturday but did not show up. I called Cook Siding to be told he was working another job and would be back to our house on Thursday. Had to call Cook Siding he had removed siding from one of the gables and left it to the elements. They sent out two men who worked another gable left when it started raining never to be seen again but did not put siding on the bare gable. Chris showed up on Tuesday and taped the bare gable. He came back on Thursday and finished the gables and chimney. He left with out telling us he was finished leaving pieces of siding on the roof Called and complained about him leaving without a walk around and leaving trash on the roof. They did not seem to care. read more

We paid them to install 29 windows, new doors, new siding, and new gutters back in July of 2010. Our savings was wasted on this company. Twenty Five grand toward terrible quality; more importantly, terrible customer service. We did diligence and drove to the showroom, looked at the floor samples, brochures, etc. And hired them. Below is a copy of most of the complaint I posted on Angies List. As they were doing the siding we kept complaining of the quality. Nothing was consistent with the siding. Four different men did the siding and they all had their own way of installation. They left pencil marks, the siding was not cut even and there were gaps. They broke things like our sprinkler. We complained and complained and they kept coming back out to fix it, but they could not get it right. I finally said forget it. See my Angies list review for photos. Since the replacement of the new Seaway windows, we actually hear more noises from the outside. But how could this be when we were told the new windows would "reduce the noise". The window felt is still uneven to this day and a few of the screens are uneven and thus, bugs are moving in rent free. One of the windows installed had to see rain first before we knew it was not sealed properly. The gutters were purchased on the premise they would keep the leaves off. Ha! Only if there is a "strong wind" is what we were later told after complaining. Wanna hear something funny? When they installed the new gutters we paid for they attempted to tie them into the older drains that flow down the house. In other words, they were trying to save money by using the old materials. Again, we complained. As if we wouldn't notice the contrast between new and old? The employees showed up when we didn't expect them to be there. One day we almost lost our dog because a worker had showed up and left the gate open. No one told us an employee was coming that day. Another day an employee even left a present in our recycle bin during a hot day. An employee urinated in a water bottle and left it in our recycle bin for us to dispose of? Never got a personal apology for that one, but we were advised by a response letter (through the worthless mediation of the 3 B's) that they fired the employee who urinated in the bottle and left it there for us. Can you hear the Church Lady now? "Now isn't that special" I finally got tired of having to take time off and called Mr. Cook demanding he come out and address this crappy work. He came and I showed him things, but he said there was not much more that he could do. They would not offer some money back. I said I want the work to look the same as we saw it in the showroom and in the brochures. He said (I kid you not) when you go to Hardee's you don't think you get the same burger that you see in the commercial do you? We paid this company with most of all our savings. (it was an old house and needed updates) To hear him tell us we were not to expect what we saw in the showroom was like slapping me in the face and saying "stupid that you would think you were going to get what you paid for". You may spend a few hundred dollars and have them do a wonderful job or you can be a scmuck like me and pay them almost 25 grand for inferior products and workmanship. BE CAREFUL. If they do come out, make sure you check your recycle bin. read more
