After that, they took the time to schedule a free estimate, during which they even caulked some obvious but small holes in my roof, free of charge! Finally they started work three days after completing a very reasonable quote. They showed up early and worked effectively and efficiently to finish the work the same day! Our new roof is less than 2 years old and leaks. During a home inspection the roof was found to be improperly installed. We have been left without the 30 year product warranty or 2 year labor warranty we were to receive which Mason Company is not honoring. This experience has caused us to ask ourselves why we ever trusted this "Certified " GAF contractor. For a major investment that was to protect our home and provide "peace of mind", instead Mason Company performed substandard work found NOT to be in a "good and workmanlike manner".

She [my mother] is an active 73-year-old woman who recently had the misfortune of learning she had a severe leak in her roof that was causing significant internal damage to her home. Fearing the costs associated with roof repair or even a potential replacement, my mother attempted to repair the problem herself by replacing the shingles. Her 13 yr old grandson recorded her on the roof doing the work herself and then he sent the video to me. I was so proud of her strength and ability that I wanted to show her off to the world. Therefore, I sent the video to the local news stations with the hope they would run a story on her. Once WDBJ7 broadcast her story, Cenvar Roofing management saw it and stepped in immediately, offering to take care of her situation at NO CHARGE to her. From the moment that Cenvar associates stepped foot onto mom's property to the day they completed the roof repair, she said "every crew member was friendly and treated her [job] as if she were a paying customer". Additionally, the associates saw that mom's home did not initially have gutters or downspouts either. Management decided to surprise her with brand new gutters and downspouts to ensure mom's house would not experience any follow-on damage due to un-channeled rainwater. Today, my mom [and stepdad] are over the moon and love the work that Cenvar Roofing did for them in their time of need. She admits that she enjoys watching the rainfall now and seeing it flow from her roof to the gutters, down the drain spouts, and away from her home. This was truly a gift that Cenvar Roofing gave to her, the ability to rest easy knowing that her roof was professionally and expertly repaired, and a little extra work was done all to support a member of the community. TLDR; This company put a roof on my house that didn't last even 1/4 of the promised time; when I reached out to negotiate reimbursement (because a new roof is needed), I was blocked by the owner, with no response. If you need any kind of roof work done on your home, or you want to be treated with any kind of respect, then absolutely DO NOT go to Brandon's Home Repairs. When he put a new roof on my mom's house (while he worked under a different company name), he assured her it would last about 4x as long as it actually has. We have to put a new roof on, which is expensive, so I reached out to the owner, to explain the situation and see if we could get compensation. Of course nobody expects their first request to just be paid, and I was fully open to negotiation, but it didn't seem to right to post a review without even giving him the chance to make it right. However, after being ignored, and now very obviously blocked, without any kind of response, I'm more upset than if he had just said no, or been unable to reach an agreement. When I looked up his previous business, I found that I'm not the only one this happened to, either. I guess if you're looking for a short term fix, then this business might be fine. But for any kind of honesty, or long-term work, I'd look elsewhere.

Chris was very good at communicating timelines and following up to make sure everything was going well. Fair pricing not the most inexpensive but not the most expensive! Good Warranties Vinton Roofing 10 year workmanship warranty and Owens Corning warranty on shingles. The roofers were very professional and very nice. Very hard worker's in 90 degree temperatures. They took two day which was expected during such heat. These guys knew what they were doing. Only reason for a 4.8 star rating is after asking for them to use the magnets very well in the pet courtyard area and I found over 15 nails. Just a place for improvement I would say. Brian Laverty with Cenvar Roofing was one of the more detailed roofers with his proposal and he responded very quickly. He was always available for our questions and patient with us as we gained understanding of the magnitude of our job. We hired Brian because of his price but also because of our comfort level with him and the reviews from previous customers who had similar needs as our needs. After the work was scheduled, the crew from Cenvar arrived at the promised time and they worked diligently as a team to correct the issues we had with our current roofs per their proposal.
