Favey late night snack with my bestie. Always quick and friendly service. Though, the gentleman who took our order and served us at the register tonight was god awful, my friend ordered my meal then the guy in the microphone changed as he was ordering so at the end of the order my friend asked to make sure he heard me say my chicken wrap and shake and he didn't respond. So when we pull up to the window he asked if he got my order again and the guy looked frustrated and I told him what I ordered and that it's because they switched employees when taking our order that they missed it. He rolled his eyes and said aggressively "just tell me what you want and I'll get it for you" even though I just did tell him....awk....then I asked for a honey mustard and he nodded his head and just didn't do it.....oh and when my friend ordered his meal he asked for a mint shake then two seconds later says "I'm sorry if it's not too late can u change it to chocolate caramel" and the guy literally said "yeah it's too late" we thought he was kidding since it had been 2 seconds but he was serious he for real wouldn't change it for him. Wow. Have not had such a terrible and total fail of an experience at any type of hospitality or food and beverage type of business until today. Mount Pleasant South Carolina. Over 20 minute ticket times in the drive-through, a lack of even caring one iota when it was brought up and mentioned after finally getting a bag of food, the obvious lack of customer service, empathy or for that matter, a capable staff of doing the bare basics, such as a cook,. According to the drive-through team member, they are super understaffed, she just got there, and it's not her problem, it's just the tip of the iceberg. 8 to 12 cars deep. Lucky for me I was in the front. Right up until I just got home and realized she gave me the wrong friggin order. This was to feed my son and I tonight for dinner. Waste of time, waste of money, no pun intended, but it taste left over from this, it's disgusting and I will be going out of my way to boycott, put some reviews out there on social media, and at this point waste more time telling everybody I know how bad Cookout is and why they should never ever waste their time eating there. Be advised the wrong order I got was number 1120 on April 20 5:02 PM cashier Tyaisha. Can't believe I'm gonna waste more time out of my day to complain about this. Craziest set up I've ever seen for a fast casual joint, huge dining room with a tiny counter to order..chicken strips taste like cardboard, burger over cooked, really inexpensive though..the hand washing station troubled me, but what do I know? read more

Came in around 7 pm and ordered a plain banana milkshake. Informed the cashier I have a nut allergy. No line and empty room, took 10 minutes to get one milkshake. After taking a few bites I realized there were nuts in the milkshake. Told the cashier and she said there was nothing she could do about it. Will not be coming back. read more

The speaker system is so poor in the drive thru they can't hear you and you can't hear them. Therefore, I was missing to condiments on my burgers. The piece of lettuce they put on the burgers was smaller then a small post-it note. The "cheddar cheese" is really cheese sauce that has absolutely no taste. The burgers were all smashed in the foil as if they had been used to play catch at the ball field. Highly disappointed! Save your money go two doors down to Five guys now that's a burger !! The milkshake I ordered was delicious except for the fact that I found 3 bits of plastic wrapper in it. I'm not entirely sure how trash got in there, but all I know is I will be checking my food very carefully next time. read more

Pork BBQ. Plain and simple. its as good as your going to get in this area. the price is awesome. who cares about sauces. you don't need them with these guys. who cares about their milk shakes which everyone seems to love. we got 2 milk shakes and we have to say that the shakes suck, they are too thick...don't give us straws if you have to wait 3 hours for it to thaw for a straw to be effective. The meat is where its at with these guys and they do it RIGHT!, don't be fooled by their milkshakes. read more

I have been in cook out waiting for 25 minutes to even be helped. Extremely short staffed and don't even know the quality of the food yet because after close to 30 minutes of waiting I have yet to be helped. Worse cook out experience yet, puts a bad taste in a huge fans mouth. read more

Anyone who thinks this is good food probably doesn't have taste buds. Very low quality food. It's all just nasty. Absolute trash. Looks and tastes like a 4 year olds pretend restaurant food that has been sitting in the sun for days. If McDonald's and Carl's Jr. had a deformed baby it would be Cook Out. Does not deserve one star. Will not be visiting again. I would rather pay more money and get actual food. read more

Milk shakes are delicious. Servers standing around saying they had nothing to do....we were only customers...every table in the place was dirty...crumbs, spills, etc.....we had to clean a table to use it...no paper towels in restroom...manager needs to pay better attention to details. read more

This was absolutely the worst service I have ever had at a cookout, and my service has been bad before. Not only was my order wrong, but I waited nearly an hour to receive the wrong order.... then asked for the order to be corrected, trusted that it was corrected adequately and when I finally arrived home, I found out it was in fact STILL wrong (and burnt). This Cook Out must be short staffed or very poorly hiring because I interacted with a cashier at 9pm and it was about the worst experience ever. She took her time coming to the front and just looked at us without speaking. We asked if they had wifi and she responded that she didn't know. (??? How does an employee not know) We said okay, probably not then (with confusion). She asked if we were going to order and before we even responded started walking away. I absolutely LOVE this Cook Out! Great food! I go probably 3-4 times a week and grab a huge burger and hushpuppies. Price is wicked cheap while tasting great!! Anyone wining about having to wait must have the lowest amount of patience in the world! It's typical, Mount Pleasant, fast food time. I'm so glad they stay open late!
