I used to come here more in the past but have been trying other burger places. Normally, this is an easy go to place for a decently priced burger with good taste. The milkshakes always hit the spot. I've come to the conclusion that the milkshakes are outshining the burgers in relativity to price and taste. I was very unimpressed with the burgers I have ordered a couple of times and even more agitated with the price I paid for them. I'm not giving up on this place as I've been very happy in the past. Hoping it was a bad couple of times because the patties were small and the flavor just wasn't making it worth the visit. The service is usually friendly. We all got the 1/4 lb. burgers, but there are several weight options. These tasted liked we made them from fresh ground beef and cooked them on our patio grill! The toppings were plentiful and super yummy! These folks can grill me anytime! (The only hiccup was one of the burgers didn't have the toppings we ordered.) A very confusing menu with "combo specials" being pushed by the counter server. Ordered a double burger plain and it came with cheese, over cooked, and loaded with mayonnaise making the roll very soggy. Two sides mushy fries and a dry quesadilla. That's right. A side quesadilla. Also an Oreo milk shake that was mostly ice milk and smashed cookies. This was a 1 & done for me. Place was not clean. Sticky floors, tables not cleared, soda area all wet. I had a Cheddar Style combo, which was a char-grilled burger topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, grilled onions, and mayo - I added raw onions as well. This burger was right off the griddle and it was super piping hot! Filled generously with both grilled and raw onions, a nice generous amount of cheese and mayo, the burger was pretty satisfying. The patty itself is cooked well-done, and it had the nice charred taste to it, which added even more flavor. The hubs had the A1 burger, which came with A1 sauce, onions, and mayo, opting out of the tomato; just note that the A1 sauce was only a smidgen of an amount, so if you want your burger to be more saucy, ask for more! Ok so the food is pretty much what we expected as far as fast food goes. It was great that they have smaller portions sizes to choose from. The host was friendly and patient. The beverages weee serve yourself. Clearly unsweetened ice tea is not the norm at round there because it was in a pitcher like you have in your own fridge. Husband said the bathroom was unremarkable. There is no outdoor seating which is interesting because cookouts traditionally are walkup only. I had the "cookout sauce" for the first time and it was pretty good. This is such an awesome fast food restaurant! I have never had it before prior to this trip and I am truly a fan. This particular one had extremely friendly staff and were very understanding when I was a little shocked by the number of options I had to choose from when pulling into the drive-thru. Their cajun seasoning for the fries was amazing and every single fry was evenly covered with it! I know this sounds insane but that is something that most restaurants miss because they just shake it on top. The sweet tea was good and their chicken quesadilla was not overwhelmed with cheese. It was lacking with the chicken but again, being a fast food place I understand. Overall, I will definitely be stopping by here again whenever possible.
