Bought out by Minute Stop. No Aloha, employees have serious attitude problems. Unusual policies, and personal conflicts with customers over unjust practices. Since being asked to have my Drivers License scanned to verify my age as they say, (I am over 40 years old), I have received Hundreds of Spam emails, advertisements, and other unsolicited responses. I would suggest if you can avoid this place to do so. I personally will not support a business that tries to retaliate against customers that have supported the business for 20+ years, only to see a corporate company take over, and treat customers like the trash! I will not do business with this branch until they change Management, policy, and attitude, as they treat their customers like they are the enemy! Avoid this place if you are able. read more

The store itself... I did go in to buy kleenex and a stamp... BUT it was a Sunday and the BBQ outside was going! (GJ's) If you are on the BI and you see those birds and ribs on the grill, do yourself a favor and pull in! The chicken was up there with some of the best I have ever had, Maybe 2nd best of my lifetime. Hubby got the half chicken meal for $10. You get the bird, mac. salad and I believe the other item was rice. I was so focused on the chicken. We should have got another plate! It was perfect. Needed nothing. No seasoning, nor condiments. The locals know about this place and one woman told us she comes here no matter what to buy her Sunday chicken meal. I want some now! read more

I go to this store as often as I can. The front counter people are always super helpful. Not only with things inside the store but they also are great at giving directions on how to get to different areas on the island. OMG! Definitely the best bathroom break on the way there and back! The bathrooms are impressive, upscale and clean! The food! Oh the food! I was 2/3 done before I could stop myself to take a photo. This review is not so much about the service station as it is the service that was found at the station. Upon filling up our tank, we spotting GJ's barbecue stand out in front serving up a wonderful aroma of barbecued chicken and pork on several rotisseries. Doesn't look like much, but this is the kind of food that you search for on the islands. Served over rice, we ordered 2 half-half orders to go along with a bag of pork rinds. The food is all freshly made. Definitely not what you'd expect from a convenience store. Weather you're looking for a nice salad or homemade baked dessert this is definitely the place to stop. This was always the best gas station since I was a young age. The workers are all friendly, their food is great but there dessert is even better!!!! All made right in the back kitchen. Quick and easy. Fair prices, better than other places. Some of the employees are very lazy and unhelpful. I've noticed they lack proper health department protocols especially with regard to cleanliness and health safety. Customers allowed to touch open food served to the public, ie. Hotdog buns not individually wrapped and can be easily contaminated by customers with dirty hands. They need a visit from the health department to show them how things need to be done. read more

MUST READ. This is the real Marian M. Yes the one that works at Convenience Plus. 2 things I need to address. First and foremost, our pumpkin crunch is our best selling desert. Made fresh every M-F in a clean, certified kitchen. With the same recipe every time. The only way a person would get sick from the pumpkin crunch is if they are allergic to pumpkin, eggs, milk or any of the other ingredients used to make it. Secondly the above comment made by Marian M. came from a jealous business owner in Honoka'a claiming she has the oldest restaurant in town. The reason she chose to slander Convenience Plus is because I asked her to do her business elsewhere because she was disrespecting our store to our employees. Minutes after that happened this untrue yelp review appeared with my name. How crazy is that. Anyway if you are in town and would like to check out the reviews before stopping in somewhere, be careful where you get your cup of crazy. I mean cup of coffee.
