The fried chicken - especially the thunder chicken - is the best. The chicken is hot, tender, and juicy. It is sold as individual pieces, box sets, or plate meals. If you are getting just one piece of chicken, get the thunder chicken. It costs only a few bucks, and it gets you a gigantic piece of fried chicken. Aside from chicken, there are bento items, musubi, plate meals, and other to-go items. Another favorite besides the fried chicken is the flying saucer, stuffed puff pastries that come in different flavors, all of which are delicious. Food aside, this is a typical gas station and convenience store. The gas prices seem to be on par with the rest of the island. There is a decent amount of pumps, and the store seems to be kept clean. The location is super close to Waimea. The gas is nothing special, but the delicious fried chicken and really cheap food options are pretty awesome.

They have no problem ignoring you and even giggle about it and talk trash about you while talking trash about their co-workers. If you ask them for help they tend to get fussy. I've seen this happen many times at THIS LOCATION and it's happened to me too. This was at night too and I've noticed that this location, particularly at night, has very rude employees. At the ending of the day it is a gas station and I'm there to get what I need and be on my way. Their food is great, I must say. The fried chicken and potato wedges--or even bentos is a MUST when stopping there. ***I was just there last night, 7/14/26 and there were 2 employees on the floor talking smack about one of their co-workers. I grabbed what I needed and waited at the register. The employee was standing about 6 feet away from me making drum noises on a pile of boxes and I asked her if anyone was at the register. She said "Yeah, SHE IS" and pointed to the other employee pulling trash from the hot food area. There was also another customer standing behind me waiting to check-out. The drumming of boxes continued too from the other employee.*** If you don't need to go there, go to the next gas station. They are my "emergency only" gas station and when on empty I'll put in $10 (when I actually need $85-$100) and fill up at the next gas station that deserves the business. 5 stars for food and 1 for customer service.

The chicken katsu plate with two huge scoops of rice and a big scoop of that mac salad. It was the same fried chicke in bite size pieces and teriyake sauce to pour over top. Sweet Mother of Mercy everything was ono to the MAX. I highly recommend this Minit Stop for a meal.

Total FALSE ADVERTISING and just realized after reviewing the receipt! WHY can't people just be upfront and honest?? Guess will go down the hill for gas as always.
