Last month, some of our electrical outlets stopped functioning. An electrician from "Contractors Electric" spent almost five hours over two days at our residence. He began on Monday December 12th. He replaced several outlets and switches with no positive results. None of the outlets or switches needed replacement. At this time, we no longer have a dimmer switch in our dining room. And I am still trying to learn how to use my outdoor patio light. So he basically left our home *less* functional than when he came. Exasperated, I then called another electrician. "Ed" from www.myelectricinc.com arrived on Friday December 16th. It took him an hour to diagnose and fix our problem, and I happily paid him $281.50. Now Contractors Electric wants me to pay them $577 for their failed efforts. I do NOT intend to pay. read more

Contractors Electric did an exceptional job! We had coordinated another electrician company to go meet with one of our customers to troubleshoot an electrical issue they had after we had done some work at their home. The other company completely stood up our customer. This sent me into a panic mode frenzy, as I know this is the worst thing that can happen when you're trying to maintain a positive customer experience. I called Contractors Electric and they dispatched an electrician out to our customers home the same day. While on site, their electrician called me and we discussed what work had been done so he could attempt to isolate the issue. The issue turned out to be very minor, however it was a relief for our customer to have the issue remedied in a timely manner. I deal with many subcontractors and rarely find one that I am willing to recommend, or take time from my hectic schedule to leave a review for. This company deserves the recognition! Their prices were completely fair, their timely response was amazing and I would recommend them to anyone with high regard! Thanks to the entire Contractors Electric crew! read more

A month later, CE still has not sent us the check for a refund they agreed they would do, I have it in an email from Steven the owner. I have emailed them again asking for an update. I expect no response. My advise do not use these guys. If you do make SURE you get a quote ahead of time. I now have 3 licensed contractors that agree that his charges were probably excessive. Unbelievable that I was over charged for a shotty job that he says the manufacturer and the tech that fixed the shotty job are both "lying to me" I actually watch the tech fix the error and walla! it works. 11/27/17 Update, They finally paid the refund they promised. Good for them. BUT!!!! Steven's wife submitted a formal complaint to the Board of Pharmacy about my business. The complaint is totally contrived and will be thrown out but they succeeded in wasting some if my time responding to my board in explanation. These guys are vindictive and liars. If you use them then definitely get a quote and get a second quote. They are very expensive and NO he definitely did NOT offer to come out and look at it, I have the emails. and NO there was no out of office rely and it took 3 weeks to get a response. Stevens facts are not strait. I still am willing to talk to Steven about all this and would love to put it to bed. I only went to the internet because he ignored my multiple attempts to settle this one on one. read more

Whenever I have to call someone to fix a problem I always grimace knowing it's either going to cost a lot, won't fix the problem, or both. Calling Contractors Electric was a totally different experience. The electrician returned my call and walked me through the steps over the phone to diagnose and fix my issue and didn't even charge me! The fix this time was actually pretty simple. Our bathroom outlets, which had stopped working, were connected to a GFCI outlet all the way in the garage (who would have ever guessed that?) which needed to be reset. Took about 5 minutes to find, reset, and confirm it was working. He could have just as easily come out and charged me a service call or not even returned my phone call at all. I think this little example speaks highly of them. Definitely will call for any future electrical issues. read more

The power in our kitchen went out so I called Contractors. The people I spoke with on the phone were super-friendly and helpful. They even helped me troubleshoot the problem over the phone to make sure I wasn't missing something simple. Leslie was the electrician who ultimately came to my home and she was AWESOME! Leslie identified the problem, quickly resolved it, and even went above and beyond to replace a missing screw in one of my outlet faceplates. Outstanding and friendly service! Great service, reasonable price, friendly and professional communication. We had a couple lights installed, three Cadet heaters replaced, and some work to our circuit breaker done. We live on the outskirts of Eugene/Springfield and needed some work done fast before a scheduled appraisal. The work was bid, scheduled, and completed on fairly short notice and to our satisfaction. I needed a cord cap replaced and called Contractors Electric. They asked me to send a picture of the cap to be replaced so the electrition could bring the correct replacement. I did so twice. The electrician arrived, but did not have the replacement despite my emails. He told me he had not been told about the emails. He spent an hour traveling out to get a new one. Contractors Electric charged me $230 for two hours work when in fact replacing the cord plug took maybe ten minutes. The travel time was unnecessary and costly. I would not recommend them. read more

I hired Contractors electric to do some wiring work at my house. Three weeks later I was still asking for a bill. I never received an estimate and they finally sent me a bill for nearly $10,000. No contract, a total blindside of the bill. Zero details about what they did and only a labor and general parts fee. I have been communicating with Jeff the email for over two months now. I had to switch to only email communications because I could not get a direct answer to simple questions over the phone. I contacted OCB to try and get some help communicating with Jeff. Every question I asked Jeff about problems with his work was answered with "we do that on final. Many open circuits, wires unconnected and bunched up waiting for them to return. Now that I have contacted OCB they refuse to come finish unless I drop the complaint. They told me that The permit was pulled in their name so in order to get the work finished and the permit finalized my only option is to pay the exorbitant bill and pay them another $7400 to finish. They have me over a barrel on this permit, and they know it, and so they are gouging me. Lane county says my only option is to start a new permit under my name. I also found out from Lane county that I could have opened the permit in my name so I was not locked in with them. A building permit issue that I was not educated on so they were able to take advantage of me setting me up from the start. I've been living in this mess for over three months. I will have to hire a different electrician to come out and finish. I sent them a partial payment in good faith but still no finish. Jeff sent me an estimate of another $4000 to "finish his work. Then he changed that amount to $7400. Then he offered to lower the $10,000 bill so he doesn't have to come back and finish. Everything I'm saying here is absolutely true and documented in emails of exactly what and when was said. I will never spend a penny with these guys again. I highly recommend finding a reputable electrician that gives you an estimate and follows the law about construction contracts over $2000. Do your homework. You cannot trust these guys. read more

We heard this company had great service and were disappointed when the electrician called at the time of the appointment (first of the day) to say he was running half an hour behind. Manager had only excuses. We arranged our day to have someone there to meet him as we both work. Poor customer service! read more

It's not often that you hire someone to solve a problem in your home, and they actually do what you asked, what you needed done, in the amount of time agreed upon, and for the amount of money estimated, and with friendly and personable workers. Had a ghost short isolated to just one room of our home. Previously called in another contractor to repair this . I had them here for 3 visit total . Problem seem to be fixed then would go out again after a day or so. Called these folks electrician showed and was still having difficulty isolating the short so he called in and spoke with a manager who showed up and was bound and determined to find it. It's finally fixed this time for good I think. Customer service is excellent. I would definitely use these folks again! read more
