I have been following Erin's work for over a year now and I was always to chicken to go for it. When she posted she needed models for an eyelash enhancement training I decided to give it a try. So technically my eyelash enhancement was done by Kelly Jo from Opal Beauty in Santa Cruz, BUT Erin was training. If you're considering getting this procedure done, do it! It was not painful at all, and no downtime for healing. I assumed my eyes would be swollen or irritated but Erin and Kelly really took care of me. Erin is fantastic! I came in for a lash line enhancement and could not be happier with the experience and results. The studio was extremely clean and well sanitized; Erin disinfects everything in addition to using a blue light to sterilize, which I truly appreciate during this pandemic. She even generously provides gloves and a mask. The entire appointment only took about 2 hours. A numbing cream is administered beforehand, so the tattooing just feels like an uncomfortable scratching sensation, but no pain. Erin was very thorough in making sure my eyes were even and checked in often to make sure I was comfortable. We discussed beforehand that I would prefer a finer line and decide after healing if I would want a follow up for more, rather than requesting a bold line right off the bat and risk being unhappy with the amount of pigment. Erin provided an aftercare kit and instructions, which were very easy to follow. Immediately after the procedure, my eyes felt like they had a mild sunburn. The next day they were quite swollen, so I gently patted them with a spoon I stuck in the freezer and the puffiness went down considerably. The rest of my healing time was a breeze, just occasional itchiness as it scabbed. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with Erin who is very thorough, professional, and brilliant with her art. The procedure is quick and relatively painless, and the aftercare is very little maintenance. As someone who is allergic to most makeup, this was something I had been looking into for a long time and I am so glad I found Erin. If you were on the fence like me worried you would look too unnatural or fake, go to Erin! Just a note- make sure you leave plenty of time to find parking.
