I went to this clinic twice for scar camouflage. The first time, Ruth used minimal color, and it faded within a month. The next time, she "swore up and down" she used enough color but it AGAIN faded after one month! That is WITH the touch up procedure that she offered. I have done scar camouflage for 8 years with 4 different practitioners and the same aftercare - it has never lasted less than one year, except with Ruth. What is frustrating about this is she raised the price of scar camouflage to $500, but her procedure is somehow less effective?? Why/how is that? During the beginning of the pandemic I broke out really bad on my chest, something that had never happened before. PLEASE BEWARE OF THE BAIT AND SWITCH - THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS - SO SHOPPERS BEWARE! My Experience: On the phone I was quoted a price for consultation and skin test. I HAD TO PAY THIS FEE BEFORE I was given an appointment. 1st Red Flag!!! When I call to confirm my appointment, I discover that they hadn't even put me on the calendar! 2nd Red Flag! After a firm push from me, they were able to make room - or so they told me. I waited an hour to be seen. But wait, here comes the BAIT AND SWITCH...Remember they took a fee over the phone, well now that I am standing in front of them... before I see Ruth, I'm told they need more money. They tell me they need to take photos so they can "study them." Let me backtrack - I've made this appointment for scar camouflage. (a skin-colored tattoo) Okay, so Who matches color from a photo? Hmm, and why study a photo when I'm right here? They tell me, that's how they mix the color, (from a photo???) At this point I'm there, (drove an hour and a half) and I decide to give them the benefit of the doubt (my mistake - 3rd Red Flag). So, they take more money, take some photos, and send me on my way. Please note - I've now spent over $400; they've taken photos and they send me on my way with another appointment in a week - the skin test I've already paid is moved by another week. A week later I arrive for the skin test. The color is mixed while I'm in the chair. (Well, Of course, ...Obviously, who mixes color from photos.) Dr. Ruth is charming. On my way out from the test, I make an appointment to finish the scar for the following week. I ask for an estimate....and for the next 6 days, I am given the run-around. They won't tell me how much I am expected to pay. I get one excuse after another about why they can't give me an estimate. Since they've lied multiple times already, I'm a bit weary, as well, who goes to get a service without knowing what you are expected to pay? (at least an estimate) They tell me they need to see me again before they can tell me! (What? They WANT MORE MONEY) They've got photos, how is it that they can "Study Photos" to allegedly mix color, but they can't tell by looking at these photos how much work it would take to do the job? I'll tell you - It's a SCAM a BAIT AND SWITCH! So, I insist on an estimate, and they tell me I'm not a good fit and cancel my appointment and KEEP ALL OF MY MONEY!
