Middle of the road good old fashion pizza. No complaints . They also have lots of gourmet pizzas also . I'm not a big IPA fan, and most of there beers are IPA's , double IPA's . I got a sour . It was good . There is a bakery attached so we got two pastries to go , and also attached is a full service restaurant ( Johnson's ) we stopped in there for desert, my GF got the kids ice cream which is huge ! And I saw Tuesday $1.00 oysters so I had to get 6 . Also very good . Even though it's not part of Northwoods . They sell all there beers . I'm pretty sure it's one big business. Broke down to three separate businesses. They got you covered 100%

She was pretty insistent that we try their pickle beer & brought out a sample. Said sample went unfinished despite the 4 of us trying it & 2 of us being pickle beer lovers (especially sucker punch, yum). My experience in the area overall leads me to warn any sour drinkers that this is NOT the region to order sours... I think that's the best way to put it. Apparently it's a love it or hate it & a lot of people love it. I did not. None of us did... Service was excellent tho & the other options were decent. I love the dog themed cans & pooch friendly environment. They also had solid drink specials. We didn't eat anything here.

Tried the Manchvegas which is beer mixed with sewer water. Also the Hound which is the Manchvegas but with hops and then they had a blood orange beer that was so overwhelmingly orange it was like cough medicine (mixed with sewer water). Did not have a chance to try the food (most other reviews say it's great). The location/parking is fine, the theme is great (beer named after dogs), the bar area itself is great (brewery with local dive vibes) and the bartender was wonderful... but this beer is like someone (who likes dogs) was trying to make craft beer for the first time and got the chance to open a brewery.

The owners, Rick and Candi Ireland, took time to chat with our party and made us feel welcome. They've renovated the spaces beautifully! What more can you want? We made reservations both times, but arrived an hour early to sample wine flights and enjoy the live music on the porch. The wines are amazingly complex and deliciously drinkable for New Hampshire. We are Napa lovers, and still enjoyed quite a few of the whites and reds that Candi creates herself. The food is farm to table, seasonal, fresh. Scallops on sweet potato gnocchi one week, braised short rib the next. Both yummy. I think both dishes needed a touch more seasoning, but you can taste the love. The servers are probably the nicest, most attentive anywhere in the state. We had a party of four, then eight the next time and both servers didn't miss a beat. The grounds are lovely. On a warm, sunny day, you can sit outside to enjoy your flights and apps. The bar inside and another sitting area looked cozy for those chilly days. The 1756 house has a lot of history. One tidbit: Grace Metalious wrote Peyton Place on the site. Go. Enjoy some of the best people, wine, food and history that New Hampshire has to offer.

But probably one of my least favorite meals I've had in a while. I started with the crab rangoon nachos, and honestly, those were the highlight. Definitely different than I expected, but surprisingly good. For my entrée, I got steak, fries, and Asian slaw. The steak itself was tender, and fries are pretty hard to ruin unless you actively resent potatoes, but the overall flavor was just... weird. Not awful, just a mix of spices or seasoning that didn't really work for me. I wouldn't be excited to order it again. Dessert was a Nutella-stuffed cookie pie thing that I split with a friend, and I swear we almost needed an axe to cut into it. Points for durability, I guess. lmao
