It's not the biggest or newest 99 Ranch I've ever been to, but so happy it's here. It's kind of…read moresmall and crowded compared to other locations, especially on the weekends. Choose your shopping time slot wisely. Parking is a hellscape during peak hours on weekends. Go super early when they first open, or after 5pm on the weekends. In this area, there are so many other Asian supermarkets. Some prices are not the best, so look for the sale items to make the trip worth your while. I like the grab-n-go char siu and duck on weekdays in the afternoon (although the setup on a table with a weak heat lamp is a little sketch). There are deals on chicken feet if you're lucky enough to stumble upon them at the right time. Chicken feet are expensive in this area in this day and age. $1.99 is a screaming deal. Their selection of frozen dumplings is very good, although sometimes I can't find some of my favorite items. Supply chain issues? Prime Food/Dim Sum King is one of the best brands. Especially their soup dumplings (a.k.a "mini soupy pork bun").

Today, 3/25/26, dropped by 99 Ranch to get some Chinese food from the Deli. Bought a few Combos of…read morefood - Noodles, Fried Chicken, Sesame Chicken for $14.99 each. Freshly cooked today since they had just brought out the food for the start of lunch. Received great customer service at the checkout register. When in the mood for some Chinese, we normally visit the deli counter at the 99 Ranch Market. Reasonable prices and good portion sizes!

I recently found Champion Gourmet Co. (冠軍) inside Great Wall Shopping Mall in Kent, and it feels…read morevery much like a classic Taiwanese bento shop. The space is small but clean, and ordering is done through a self-service kiosk or QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. They mainly serve Taiwanese-style bento boxes and braised snacks. Some of the options include: * Popcorn Chicken Bento * Taiwanese Pork Chop Bento * Braised Pork (Lu Rou) Bento * Smoked Chicken Leg Bento * Taiwanese Sausage Bento * Braised Pork Belly Bento Prices are around $14-$17. I ordered the Popcorn Chicken Bento, which came with stir-fried greens, braised egg, pickled mustard greens, Taiwanese sausage, and braised tofu. The popcorn chicken was freshly fried, crispy on the outside and juicy inside, with basil that gives it a very authentic Taiwanese flavor. The portion was generous and they even included a milk tea, which made the meal very satisfying. They also offer a variety of Taiwanese braised snacks (lu wei) like braised eggs, tofu, chicken gizzards, beef tripe, chicken feet, and pig ears. Another nice touch is the freezer section where you can buy frozen dumplings, wontons, and buns to take home. Overall, it's a simple and comforting Taiwanese spot. If you're shopping at Great Wall in Kent and want a quick, satisfying meal, this is a convenient place to grab a bento. The parking is complimentary in the plaza.

Champion is located inside the Great Wall mall and it's pretty unassuming. There's a few tables inside and that's basically it. They have a relatively small menu available and a wide portion of braised items and frozen dumplings. On the menu, there's a handful of bentos and some noodles. I only noticed one staff member even though my visit was on the weekend but there were no issues experienced. I ordered a popcorn chicken bento and it came with a complimentary black milk tea. The popcorn chicken was nice and crispy and seasoned well. I like that the bento included a braised egg, taiwanese sausage, and a piece of tofu. The braised egg was one of the best I've had and I'll definitely have to be back for more.
