We had a group dinner at this restaurant. The layout was interesting because there's no clear distinction between the hotel lobby and the restaurant. The food was good but leaned towards the small side. It was also more salty and spicy than I expected. Service was really good and they checked on us frequently, refilling water whenever our glasses ran low.

Our hotel bar and restaurant! We loved our stay here and we loved the bar. Can't say anything about the food but the drinks were excellent with such a nice calm chill atmosphere. Service was excellent, our bartender really engaged with us and put up with my questions about drinks and was super knowledgeable and even let us try one of her creations she was working on for her new menu . Yummy fall flavor daiquiri. We had a nice glass of Rosè and I had a paper plane cocktail. I love watching them make the drinks hence always sit at the bar. It was a great first drink of the evening as we set off on our evening adventure . Lovely hotel bar !

Let me start by saying the ambience is very nice and welcoming. What I didn't like was our server. She was normal at first but then suddenly started dropping F*** bombs. Me and my guests were thrown off. We asked her what is good from the menu and by the end of our conversation she said "order whatever the fuck you want". We were just stunned. With that behaviour we wanted to leave the restaurant as soon as possible. Maybe she was trying to act friendly in her own way (as people would with people they have known for years and years) and cool, but it didn't come across like that since we weren't reciprocating that same behavior. Now to the food part. The food was delicious but the quantity was really really small. More like appetizers. We searched on google for the menu and it mentioned two different menus, they even say it's Middle eastern but nothing was middle eastern. I had seen hummus, grills, etc but when we got the physical menu, more than half of the menu that I had seen online wasn't there. Apparently they keep changing the menu. In short, our experience was good, confusing and weird. Just a small piece of advice, please train your staff to avoid a unnecessary scene

Really elegant and pretty space! I came here with a friend after work and although it was in the emptier side, the place still felt very welcoming and warm. The food was super tasty - I especially liked the duck and brussel sprouts which has the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors with a lot of texture!

I was staying close by Constantine so decided to visit for early evening drinks and bites. It was so good we came by twice. The first visit we sat inside. The server was attentive and knowledgeable. We started with two Into It cocktails. They are gin based and we're absolutely delicious. We also ordered the cheese Manakeesh (it's like a flatbread) and side of fries which comes with a harissa mayo. The fries were absolutely delicious. Thick cut, perfectly crispy and an amazing mayo. The manakeesh was also so good with its creamy flavor. The second visit we came by during their happy hour which is 4pm-6pm and sat outside. We ordered the manakeesh flatbread and fries again, as well as two new Sherry based cocktails. The drinks were delicious a great blend of flavors. The food did not disappoint. The server was also attentive this time around. Definitely worth the visit to Constantine!

My fiancé and I tried this place for the first time over the summer, and we had a great experience! Constantine is a fusion of Italian/Mediterranean food, and we really enjoyed every dish we ordered! We started with the beef kofta flatbread, and it was so delicious! It had a little bit of spice from the banana pepper, and I loved tzatziki drizzled on top, it gave the dish a nice creaminess. The beef was also seasoned very well. We also ordered the wedge fries with harissa Mayo as a side and these were amazing!! They were so perfectly crisp on the outside with soft and fluffy potatoes on the inside. The heirloom carrots were also ordered as another side, which were yummy as well. For mains, we ordered the lamb burger and the canestri arrabbiata pasta. The lamb burger was so yummy, super juicy and flavourful. I think I loved the pasta more than the lamb burger though, because it was very creamy with a little spice from the 'nduja sausage. The service here was great, along with the atmosphere! We were seated outside on the patio and it was super nice. My only complaint is that we were so full, and might have ordered a little too much for 2 people. But overall, super happy with this experience!

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It was one of the top rated in Toronto and happens to be in a very convenient location. The ambiance is amazing. Contemporary, artsy and tastefully decorated with 3 different rooms. We dined in the formal room and had an amazing selection of dishes to choose from. The salad was very unique, light but flavourful. It was perfect! The pasta was delicious (would have it again) and the salmon was perfectly done with crispy outer skin. Overall very impressed with the food, the price and experience.

Today we joined some friends for brunch at this Yorkville spot. I have mixed feelings about it. I would have given 2.5 if I could have. The good: - great location for meeting friends and talking - a.k.a. not loud music - Tables were well spaced out - they didn't rush you - they were good about sitting us in a quiet spot - easy to get to (near Bloor / Yonge) - great cup of coffee - staff were friendly The not so good: - There were four of us dining, and the meals all came out one at a time. Which was really odd not that we were kind of waiting for the last one to come in while things were getting cold - strange for breakfast type options - not sure if it's pretty new but the staff don't seem to have the knack with the service part quite yet. When you're having eggs and things like that you shouldn't have to ask for salt and pepper. It should just come out with the meal - some meals were ok and some just so-so taste wise - The place is really quite pricey for what you get. - toast and jam is a $4 add on ( ie does not come with that $21 brunch entree)! - One of my friends had the avocado toast and could hardly cut through it. It was a single piece of bread and she sawed away at it with a steak knife for quite some time Anyway ... not rushing back here. We have been to other spots in the area with better service, lots of good tasting menu items and at better prices!

Last night I was lucky enough to get a spot on the patio at Constantine and I'm really thankful for it. It was my first time being there, but based on what I had seen online I knew it was going to be really great. Well, I wasn't disappointed, not in the slightest. The patio is beautiful, comfortable, and all in an a fantastic place to enjoy a meal outdoors. The service was second to none, super friendly, really helpful with suggestions, and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. The food... Oh, the food. The portions are great, the pricing is more than fair, and the quality was exceptional. I'm not sure I can say I had a favorite as everything was go good. The flatbreads were on point, the spreads were delicious, the dessert was worth writing home about on its own. And lastly, the wine was beautiful and chilled just right, also the Dark and Stormy drinks were some of the best I've had It's an absolute no brainer that this place is highly recommended by me, you'll likely need a reservation for good reason, but it'll be well worth it and you'll be back again... Just like I will.

Classy ambience. Quiet inside with nice service. The Mezzeh appetizer was good with a twist to their hummus. The purple heir cocktail was good. My entree was the seared duck breast. Was done just right.

Blueberry pancakes + mimosa, trout bagel + iced vanilla latte

This is a review of their brunch menu. Atmosphere: 5/5 - this place is GORGEOUS. The decor is minimalistic with tons of nicely lit vases and pottery decorating the walls. I've walked by this place a few times and always stopped to admire the space. The main door is a little hidden and you have to go through the hotel to get there. Service: 4/5 - no complaints about the service here. Our server was very friendly and efficient and they were able to make an iced vanilla latte for me even though cold drinks weren't on the menu. Food: 3/5 - sadly the food was just average. The brunch menu didn't have much of a selection and the items were fairly pricey. I ordered the trout bagel (first item on their brunch menu) for $18 and although it was delicious, the value just wasn't there. My friend's avocado toast was also quite small and she was still hungry after. The Blueberry pancakes (I think that's their specialty item) looked quite good and came in a huge portion. All in all a good place for weekend brunch but don't expect to be blown away be the food. For a $30 meal it just wasn't worth it in my opinion. Come here for the cool atmosphere and no-nonsense service.

A little hard to find at first. This restaurant is right next to Wish in a black building. There is security behind the front door and you go straight through two doors before turning left into the restaurant. It is quite pretty on the inside and might make you feel underdressed haha. The food itself was average for the price charged. I ordered the lamb burger with fries. Portion wise it felt pretty small and it tasted alright .. The lamb patty was juicy and soft. There was also some slaw in the burger that gave it a tangy taste. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and looked well seasoned but didn't really have much taste unless you dipped them in the sauce. They were both just fine and didnt make me wanna order it again. The service itself was average as well. It was kind of busy that night and it took a while to get our cheques and our food. Will probably try again for their brunch but I dont see myself coming back for dinner.

It was alright, pretty oily. Food was ready fast but it was pretty hard to digest all the grease and oil.

I knew from previous visits that the food and service were exceptional, but this week reinforced why this has become one of my go-to spots whenever I'm in the city. Max and Trevor behind the bar made the experience seamless from night one. Not only did they remember my name, they recalled my exact order and dietary needs every evening without hesitation. Traveling for work while maintaining a low sodium, heart healthy diet can be challenging, so finding consistency matters. I did not want to chance food remorse or uncertainty with ingredients, and they made sure my burrata and salmon were prepared perfectly each night. By night five, I was basically in a legally recognized relationship with burrata, salmon...and the guys. Sofia, who had provided exceptional service to us on a previous visit months ago, was there as well. I made a point to remind her how memorable and appreciated her hospitality had been, and it was great to see the same professionalism and warmth continue throughout the restaurant team. Five straight nights at the same restaurant says a lot on its own. Consistent food, genuinely attentive staff, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back. Gusto 101 continues to deliver every time.

I came here with my best friend for a birthday dinner, and I could immediately see why this place has lasted for decades. It's tucked inside an old house on Elm Street, and the whole restaurant has that warm, family-run charm that makes you feel like people have been coming here for years and bringing more people back with them. The tables are definitely close together, so it's a little tight when the restaurant gets busy, but honestly that also adds to the lively energy because there was a steady flow of people coming in all night. Food-wise, there were a few dishes that really stood out. The carpaccio is such a good order, very thinly sliced raw beef, simple and classic, and honestly one of the most reasonably priced versions I've seen. My personal favorite was the prosciutto & melon. It's such a simple dish, but when it's done well, it really hits, and this one did. The real star for me though was the Cozze Marinara. The mussels were plump, tender, and clean, with no sandy bits, and the garlicky tomato sauce was so good that I ended up scooping it up with bread until the plate was basically spotless. We also tried the Vitello Marsala with mushrooms and Penne Arrabbiata, which felt very classic and comforting. If you like traditional Italian flavors, this is the kind of dish that will make you happy. That said, I personally wouldn't recommend mixing the meat and pasta together too much, I think they shine better on their own. Later we also ordered the garlic grilled seafood fettuccine because we were enjoying ourselves so much, and that one was much lighter in flavor. Nice enough, but probably not the best choice if you like richer or bolder pasta dishes. By the end we were completely full and had to leave a few strands of fettuccine behind, which almost never happens for me. Overall, Donatello feels like the kind of neighborhood Italian restaurant people return to for comfort, generous portions, and that warm family run atmosphere. It may not be the most spacious or modern place, but it has heart, and some dishes were genuinely memorable.

There is an upstairs balcony seating but I've never sat there. During warm weather, there is plenty of roadside outdoor seating too. This is my fourth time here but I never wrote a review fir the restaurant before. We ordered the following: 1. Shrimp Perno (daily special $6/shrimp). Jumbo Shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, tomatoes, scallions, and finished off with a shot of perno liquor. 2. Rack of Lamb (daily special $59.95). Four pieces of lamb in a rack, with a rich portion wine reduced sauce, that has a touch of mint to it, and Penne Pasta in a tomato rose sauce. The table bread was really good. The crust was crispy but the inside was fluffy. The soft butter that came it was so tasty. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce that came with the shrimp. We asked for a second basket of bread and they put two loafs in the second basket. It was too much so they were willing to let us take it home. The shrimps were definitely jumbo. It was so filling. Two pieces (per person) were good enough as an appetizer. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. We requested the lamb be cooked medium rare. It was definitely medium rare. It was juicy and did not have a gamey taste. It tastes great. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The tomato rose sauce was really good. They offered to grind parmesan cheese and pepper so we got both. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-187

It's a dining experience you don't see every day in Toronto. Even the washrooms are memorable, tucked away in the basement in what used to be old jail cells, which adds to the charm and gives the whole place a bit of personality. We went for an early Sunday dinner before a concert at Massey Hall. The restaurant got pretty busy as the evening went on, but it never felt chaotic. The atmosphere is lovely and lively, a great choice for a special night out or a pre-show meal. We started with Calamari alla Griglia with mixed greens, capers, onions, and fresh tomatoes. It was a fresh, bright appetizer with good balance. For mains, my date had the Spaghetti in Canna a Mare with clams, mussels, calamari, scallop, and tiger shrimp in a tomato sauce. The menu described it as mildly spicy, but it definitely had a noticeable kick. Still, the flavours were really good. I ordered the Ravioli al Brasato with braised beef, butter, sage, and parmigiano. It was tasty and comforting, though portion-wise I could have used a few more ravioli. I was still a bit hungry after and honestly double the size would have been perfect for me. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu with espresso-soaked savoiardi, mascarpone, and cocoa. I had an amaro while my date finished with zambuca. A sweet and satisfying way to wrap up the meal. The service was friendly, though drinks came out a bit slower than expected. Terroni's food is tasty, the setting is gorgeous, and it's easy to see why locals keep coming back. It's not cheap, but the quality and ambience make it worth trying, especially for dinner before a show or a relaxed date night in one of Toronto's most unique spaces.

There were four flights of stairs to get up to the first floor with the bar and main dining area. There was another two flights of stairs to get to the upper bar (which I was too tired to walk up to). The drinks at the bar were good and the staff were all great. We started with passed apps. Some of the flavour combinations were just off (the skewer with fruit, cheese and something else) - like they paired the wrong cheese with the fruit. The meal itself was a seat down meal (family style) which did take over two hours to complete for the amount of guests that were present (over 200 ppl). My favorite dish was the tomato and mozza salad. My most disappointed dish was the ragu pasta. Though containing a good amount of meat it was not saucy at all. The pizza was the brocolini was good as well. The reason I gave this restaurant three stars is strictly for the lack of elevator and the food quality vs the price. For what you are paying, there is so much higher quality food in the city and I honestly think you can get better bang for buck elsewhere.
