Came here for Mother's Day dinner after reading all the great reviews. We were a party of 4. The space is beautiful, and they have a great cocktail menu. We were a bit surprised to learn they've taken the papardelle off the menu already, because we had seen excellent reviews of that dish and wanted to try it. They had also already run out of lamb ribs for the day even though it was only 6pm. It seems they might have a few things to work out with their menu. We shared the Mezze Plate, which was tasty, and the Chicken Liver Crostini and Grilled Halloumi on Panella which were quite good. We also shared the Cacio e Pepe pizza, which we were not impressed with - it was basically the same piece of flatbread that came with the mezze plate made into a pizza. For mains, we had the lamb burger, spaghetti, spiced carrots, and short ribs - unfortunately no one at our table was blown away with their main dish. Lamb burger was a bit dry in my opinion. Service was very friendly, but slightly slow and food/cocktails did take a little while to come out - to the point where various members of our party inquired about their drinks. We would come back again for cocktails in this beautiful space - and maybe give it a while for dinner until their menu is sorted. read more

I have been here multiple times. But this Saturday when we went the menu was changed and some of their best dishes were taken out. We ordered 2 pasta dishes. One came out very salty and by the time they remade it we are almost full and no longer hungry. I would however recommend trying the restaurant once because they are quite creative with Italian/middle eastern dishes. read more

Not sure if they know but they are not on Yorkville avenue but they are still super pretentious. Patio host did contribute by state they are fully booked with more than half the place empty and giving the, I'm sure you've all heard "we are fully booked, but you can seat yourself in the bar if you'd like" line. We loved the chicken liver crostini which came AFTER our entree. Gnocchi and the pappardelle was under whelming. The servers were very nice and helpful though. I think we would return just to have the crostini and their overly priced half pint draught. read more

We came for a Saturday brunch and were pleasantly surprised to find it attached to a boutique hotel! Nice decor, friendly service. We made reservation but it wasn't too busy at noon. I got the Breakfast Pizza and it was delicious. Flavours were well balanced, got all the right things on it that I would expect from a breakfast (eggs, bacon, etc). Portion was good too. Very trendy and comfortable place to go for dinner or drinks. Service was great and the vibe of the place was awesome. We did the chefs menu for $65 per person and it was well worth it. Lamb ribs and the flatbread is a must try. The second course was some sort of grapefruit and greens salad that was way too bitter but after bringing this to the waiters attention they removed it from our bill and we even got a free round of drinks. Really love the aesthetic and the patio is great. Ive been for brunch which was great. I had a not so amazing dinner experience. My gnocchi dish was lovely. My friend hamburger wasn't fully cooked and by the time it was brought back out, I had finished my meal so sorta sucked we didn't get to eat at the same time. But they were apologetic. This is a really oddly run restaurant. Our table was sitting down to eat at 6:00pm while the head chef was having a meeting with a sous chef at the next table having an awkward conversation. The sous chef felt she was being under paid, and the chef basically declining her request for a pay increase. Next, our waitress had a blow out with the hostess right beside our table. This place needs a grown up to manage the place. P.S. the food is only meh. read more

Made reservations for Saturday Brunch 11:30 AM , paid bill at 1:40 PM. Severely understaffed, waiter was very accommodating , entire bill was comped, didn't even complain. Wanted to love it , all food was very pretty but extremely bland, almost made without care. Trout lox was served on a plain bagel, essentially just tasted like lox and bread. Pancakes although pretty , were burnt on every bottom. Shakshuka was gorgeous, lacked flavour. Really had high hopes , but we waited 40 minutes just for coffee, 1 hour 20 minutes for food. I went here on a Bumble BFF date for brunch and had such a nice time! Our favourite thing was the ricotta toasts, we all got one and they looked so classy and tasted delicious. The ambiance is great and we sat inside when it was really nice out so it was significantly less crowded. Our only qualm with the restaurant is that the service wasn't great, the food took forever, and the breakfast pizza we shared was pretty small and not that great. read more

1. As planned, I joined my group of 3 as they were well into appetizers. I waited 20 minutes for the opportunity to ask for my first drink. I was not acknowledged or asked during this time. 2. Once I did the asking with a concerned tone, I immediately received the cold shoulder from the server who had not smiled once. She then disappeared for the rest of the night, never coming back with my drink. My partner had to approach different server regarding the status of the drink. We were sincerely apologized to and not charged for it and we appreciated that. 2. We had 3-4 different servers juggling our table throughout the night. It was a not so busy Thursday night. We left confused, not knowing who was looking after our table. 3. After ordering our main dishes, we continued to wait 45-50 minutes and had to ask for the status of the food. 4. The atmosphere and music were great, but the lack of service turned my group off. We will not be returning. read more

Birthday Brunch Disaster - It's been a long time since I had such a terrible experience at a restaurant. We booked well in advance for Sunday brunch for a group of 10 people. It took ages to get served, and we had to ask several times before items were brought to the table. We waited 20 minutes for a coffee, and when it was served - after several reminders - it was cold and we had to ask and wait to get milk. Food was served mostly cold as well, and two of the 10 meals were brought out (hot at least...) after the others had finished eating. The Manager did apologize and give us our coffees for free, but what was supposed to be a very special event, was ruined. I would not go back here. read more

Great place for a nice atmosphere and a drink but the food is trash... it is what it is .. had octopus and the mix or seasoning wasn't right for the type of seafood .. also had the truffle mushroom pizza which tasted like I was eating spoonful of peanut butter (the hazelnut) over all don't make a menu that sounds like fine dining without the recipes to back up. Service and atmosphere is what saved it for us. read more

My boyfriend and I went for my birthday and had a fantastic time! The restaurant was lively (but not too loud) with a sleek decor and open kitchen. Our server, Tristan, was very friendly and attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about every dish on the menu. He gave us a few recommendations based on what we like, and the food did not disappoint! We had the Grilled Octopus, Cacio e Pepe pizza, Romanesco Cauliflower, and Kebab. The food was all fantastic, with a lot of interesting flavours that worked really well together. We'll definitely be going back. read more

Was staying at Anndore House on a solo business trip. Had dinner at the bar at Constantine and was really impressed. There atmosphere was really lively. The open kitchen provided for some entertainment for a single diner. Had the Burrata, which was really nice with asparagus, peas and pesto. Then tuna tartare, served with a cucumber puree and picked cucumbers. Both dishes exceeded expectations. read more

We went here on a Saturday night. The place looked much more promising than it really was. Short menu with only few options, from which we chose the most basic options that we could find : lamb burger and gnocchi alla romana. Both were disappointing. Burger was tiny and unnecessarily covered with riccota chese, accompanied by 4 baked potatos and a sour bizarre "Israeli salad". Gnocchi was very salty. For desert, out of the 4 options we ordered "chocolate" which was basically a dry chocolate almond cookie dipped in a soup of orange juice. Price before tip: 60 dollars. read more

Underwhelmed at best. The setting, ambiance and vibe of the restaurant is great - lively, upbeat and something this city has been lacking. The food was unfortunately not up to par. The halibut was very overcooked and lacked any flavour whatsoever. The brocollini was mostly stems, very few heads, and undercooked and underseasoned. The cavatelli was the highlight but still underwhelming, definitely go to a proper Italian restaurant if you're looking for good pasta/pizza. Finally we had the mille-feuille for desert which was deconstructed, bland and uninspired. Overall a disappointing experience. read more

For a restaurant that is only 3 weeks old, there must be buzz already, as it was full. But for good reason. This beautifully designed place was fantastic. The food was delicious and the service was both first class and friendly. We started with a burrata which was nestled atop an interesting and delicious mixture of peas and pesto. We both had the whole grilled fish with sides (extra) of delicious eggplant. and another with sweet potato, figs and goat cheese. Finally for dessert we shared a nougat that had a pistachio cloud like topping and honey. omg! I will definitely go back unless they get so popular that reservations will be impossible. read more

This was one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. There was a little desk near the patio. We waited there to see if anyone would come to seat us. The server saw us and ignored us. Fine. We went inside to get seated. The hosts were nice and said there was room on the patio and seated us there. The host gave us food and drinks menus. The same server from before saw us and ignored us again. We waited over 20 minutes. He served others! So we obviously walked out. I then called to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for over 8 minutes, so I hung up. I called back to leave a message. I still have not been called back. This is unacceptable! I am now at Sabai Sabai. Do NOT eat here if you have a sesame allergy. Despite telling our server that my wife has a sesame allergy we were served at least two dishes that had sesame. My wife got quite sick and we had to go home and miss a show for which we had tickets. read more

This is a beautifully designed restaurant. Not too loud. It was bright when we came in and could read the menus easily (then suddenly the lights when down to dark). You can eat at tables or bar-style where you are viewing the extensive kitchen. The restaurant is quite large but it seems more private because it is separated into various areas; for example, you walk through an elegant bar to get to the restaurant. The service was perfect: very knowledgeable, low-key pleasant staff. We had multiple starter plates (crudo, cheese,cauliflower, eggplant, potatoes) and none of the larger mains other than an eggplant pizza (oval, cut into small pieces, on a wooden slab - it was superb). One person had the lamb burger. We loved every dish - the flavours were great but not overwhelming at all. Several desserts for the table were fantastic: creative, subtle flavouring and not just sugar. Prices were moderate and appropriate: $65 per person (all in) with wine. read more

One of the best meals I've had all year (so far). Where to begin...I'd been curious about this new spot for a little while - I actually live down the street and it felt like the best western became this black boutique hotel the andore house overnight - and every time I walked by I wondered what Constantine was all about. Imagine my surprised when I realized it was the project by the chef of two of my favourite spots in the city (la Palma, and campagnolo). So - I had dinner there last night (finally). The decor is beautiful - light - airy - clean - and just all around lovely. It's unexpected given that the hotel has such a dark colour palette but it really is beautiful. Wine selection is good - cocktails are delicious! Even had the virgin almond cobbler and it was divine. On to food - we had the fennel and cara cara salad - the virtues fruit cut through the bitterness of the grilled fennel really well. Next was the halumi Panella - probably my favourite thing of the night - we ordered it twice more before leaving. Very unique - so delicious! For pasta we shared the cavatelli - and it's as good as all the other reviews say it is. We split the cod as our main - and that might be one of the best cod dishes I've ever had. For dessert we had a deconstructed Arab influence mill fieulle - which I personally loved. The cheese they use has a sour taste (almost like yogurt). I LOVED it - but if you prefer more traditional sweets go for the nougat or the chocolate dessert. Really really impressed and will definitely be back ASAP. read more

Beautiful restaurant, particularly liked the open kitchen. Unfortunately that's where the positives ended. My husband order the sea bream. It was so overcooked that he could barely cut the skin off it. It was cold and a small portion as well (overall all portion sizes were small). It took so long to arrive that we did not bother to send it back. He was still hungry, so we tried to order some fries. They would not bring a side of fries, even though it was on the menu (served it with the lamb burger). Server came back about 5 minutes later and said she could serve us potato wedges. Waited another 10 minutes - potato wedges never came. Service was extremely slow. Server was highly unknowledgeable about the wine list. Ordered an Italian Pinot Grigio and she thought it was an Ontario wine. Despite pointing it out on the menu, she could not find it .... twice. Overall, disappointing. Too bad. read more
