So the old guy gets snippy when ya move crap around, great you probably would too if your building was brimming with old stuff . It's happened to me actually but I still go back and here's why - It doesn't matter what project I'm doing or what off the wall thing I need, from a lamp with a clamp , to a piece of stove pipe , to and old fishing net I can use to throw my disc golf discs into all the way to a used desk or even an odd sized metric wrench the list goes on! Most of the time 9 outta ten I have been able to find something useful there AND , his pricing is very fair!! Just make sure whatever you buy works before ya go home , he lets me plug stuff in and test it. It's a good ol junk shop and I've traveled the country " picking" so I believe I'm qualified to judge. Some days are better than others it's great , there's always new stuff flowing thru there ebb and flow such is life.

I take a lot of metal in . universal metals pays so much better there prices vary slightly from week to week. Here's what they normally pay. $3.60, $3.50, $3.40 a pound for striped copper, $210 a pound for brass, $1.70 a pound for copper/ aluimium radiators. 20 cents a pound for batteries, 80 cents a pound for aluminum Rims, 55 cents a pound for chrome wheels, 80 cents a pound and down for aluminum if it's cut in 3 feet lengths or less. Brass radiators $2.00 a pound And top dollar for catalytic converters. They don't take cans. They pay way more 50 to 60 cents more a pound for copper and brass and double what spokane area pays. The guy is friendly and pays you in cash. I cash in over $4000.00 of metal in a u haul truck. I highly recommend this place, I like action but if you can make more it's worth it taking it to universal metals.

I attempted to stop by the location in Yakima this morning. I pulled and waited for several…read moreminutes, then a guy that seemed like he didn't know anything softly asked if I needed help. I told him I had not been there before and asked what to do. He said people normally park out on the street and they bring them a bin. I rattled off what I had in my trailer, with about 2k lbs of steel and iron in it, and he said he wasn't sure what you take and would ask someone. I told him I checked the website and verified, but ok. Another guy came walking out a min or so later and said, "move your car", I told him I was waiting for someone to check my load and gestured to the fact that I was currently blocked in. He told me another customer needed to leave (who could easily pull out without me moving) and in a very hard, almost yell told me "your going to move right now". I told him I was going to leave, never come back, and leave bad reviews and he just walked off, not caring at all. Meanwhile the 1st guy stood there dumbfounded. I got some help from another patron to squeeze back out and went to another place down the road. I was told by others not to go here because the people suck, I thought I would find out for myself... they were right.
