They are busy and do not have time to sort and/or cut to size the things you bring in. The best way to learn is from another recycler, but WVSL has always been helpful with answers when we call for information or guidance in order to get the best price we can.

I was not educated on types of metal and that you can get a better price for different types of metal ferrous vs nonferrous for example. I guess I thought they would be honest and help me. When I left they gave me 15$ for 700 lbs of what they categorized as shred metal but there was at least 300 lbs of iron bars that were not separated correctly. Buyer beware if you don't know your stuff don't come here!! They will cheat you and smile.
