There were three roofs of concern and…read moreI had asked for their guidance on best product for area and construction of building where the roofing would be applied. One of those building had a fire in the kitchen. When the ceiling was removed there was mold growth at the opposite end of the building where TGR had installed TPO roofing using PALISADE UDL creating a double barrier that did not allow any ventilation from inside to outside. TGR had removed metal roofing and installed OSB sheeting so they were aware of the insulation type that was there and did not advise on changing that insulation nor did they opt to use fiber board or other material that would have allowed for ventilation. The vice president said that he would remedy this and now the "secretary" is refusing such commitment. As a professional roofer they provided no professional advise on the project other than their opinion that I should not seek to change roof slope and that I should use TPO. When removing the old metal roofing there was no conversation on what they could see nor recommendation to reuse metal. They were strictly a money grabbing contractor that does not care about quality of workmanship nor health or safety of the people and environments they were hired to improve. They refuse to communicate and use avoidance tactics. ***As you can see from their comment to this review they admit that they do not have the knowledge or care for the installation of the materials they use. They came out once for a roof that was indeed leaking and claimed it was condensation and that was the only time they had come out prior to this. The fire was in the kitchen of the apartment above the shop and limited to that wall. At the opposite end of the building is the TPO roofing with mold on the 2.5 year old OSB. A remediation company did assess the roofing with mold and found it to be due to improper installation for existing building type - something a roofing company SHOULD absolutely be aware of before installing.
