At first I was a happy customer. Until the owner showed up to clean. I had been a customer for a few weeks. Weekly cleans and I was satisfied with the cleaning and the price, I took a week off as we were not going to be home and I wanted to resume when we returned. It was super obvious they forgot about my scheduled clean, when I messaged she said she was coming herself, late but on the way. Then after some time she Texted me they were going to stop to get lunch. When they finally arrived she was in a rush to get started, which is fine however none of the things I asked her to do they did or did well. I asked for dusting, bathrooms, floors. That's it. Well the dusting was half done. The bookshelves and table has visible dust on them, the blinds missed, just a crappy job. The floors (hardwood) were vacuumed and not mopped. She used vinegar all over where they did clean, didn't wipe the bathroom counters and missed the bathroom floor. Then tried to lie about it after. ( I have a boy, trust me, I KNoW you didn't clean it. He misses. ) I had scheduled two hours and they were done in hour and a half and surprise she says I now owe twice the agreed upon rate. Apparently In our conversations she never mentioned the hourly rate was per person, and they come in pairs. Misunderstandings happen so I was okay with that despite being a customer for a month you'd think that would have been mentioned sooner. Well, if the cleaning staff came before I would pay that but didn't like that I felt I got a bait and switch. I confirmed with my husband and son that the dissatisfactions I felt wasn't just me so I sent a polite text message asking if maybe they "forgot" to do the floors and was told they did and the defensiveness started. I politely requested that next week if possible I could have the same maids as before because every cleaning style is different and I prefer consistency so that whomever would know "how I like it", and the response was pretty defensive and dismissive of my other complaints when pressed. Said that "they probably caught things the others missed". Yeah no, you could barely tell anyone had been here and aside from the smell of vinegar that lingered I would have called them liars for doing anything aside from vacuuming and pouring vinegar in the toilets. It was just supremely rushed and half effort. Frankly put, the boss doesn't know how to clean or didn't want to. I kinda feel she wanted to lose me as a customer. That said, I was FINE letting it go, thinking you know what everyone has bad days and next time I'll get the consistency I needed. The day before my next scheduled clean she texted me to say that nobody would be in my area. (Thanks for the heads up) Said That her cleaners are migrant and were moving on. I just bet She didn't want me as a customer. Guess it doesn't pay to complain to her. If you don't like their work she doesn't care. She had a terribly "put out" attitude when she arrived and I'm fairly certainly that would be the general service I could count one. It's a shame because I really liked those "seasonal workers" she sent before. They put the effort in. read more
