Selection is good, however the service can be subpar. I would agree with some of the other reviews that say the service and staff can be exceptionally rude. I bought an item and needed to have it delivered, and when it practically wasn't out the store that same day the service people became even more rude (if that is possible). I'd like to add that I have shopped in this store for years and as I saw some of the negative reviews left, I honestly believe they are fake. Without a doubt, the rudest reception I have ever received in a business that serves the general public. I had read their website about how they handle consignment and had some questions that were not covered so I decided to stop in and talk to someone. As I walked by the main desk, a lady named Martha asked 'how can I help you'? I told her I had read the website about the consignment guidelines and before I could finish what I was saying, she threw up her hand and said here, read this and fill this out and that will answer all your questions. I was floored, never had I encountered that sort of behavior. I again reiterated what my questions were and she acknowledged they were not covered under their written guidelines. I looked around the place and concluded this place is way overpriced for the quality and caliber of goods they carry. It's so packed with stuff you can hardly move without bumping into someone or something. I came in here on a Tuesday afternoon. There were only a few customers. The store is pretty small and has mainly large furniture pieces - couches, tables, chairs, dressers, etc. They do have a minimal selection of artwork, vases, lamps, pillows, etc. Overall, I thought they did not have the best selection of items, the staff were not overly friendly or helpful (no one spoke to me while I was in the store), and the prices seemed very high for consignment items. A second hand upholstered chair for $900 seems steep! Also several of the items I saw were damaged or defective, and the prices did not seem to reflect that. The BLACKLION is located next door, and I believe they have a superior selection, more quality items, and better prices. I've consigned items lots of times over the years including at three different consignment shops in Charlotte. Consignments on Park was hands down the worst experience I ever had. The difference between what you were told verbally about their consignment process and the fine print of their agreement is as wide as the Grand Canyon! My bad for not reading the fine print more carefully and trusting the store personnel to treat me fairly. I found out the hard way that they don't pay a commission on the full price they sell your items for, they don't answer phone calls, and they build in all kinds of processing fees and penalties. Really good place with a lot of quality items that have been consigned. Layout is similar to most furniture stores, but this place seems to have a little of everything among the furniture and accessories. Wife decided to change our sun room furniture. Ugh! Out with the old, in with whatever new she had in mind. Boils down to looking for a card table with chairs. And to get couple of suitable chairs for the room. BINGO! Nice table found in great condition. Wife called and asked me to stop what I was doing and meet her at this store. It was raining, but it was lunch time, so out I went. In the time it took me to get from Indian Land to Pineville she had discovered more. Oh boy! The table and chairs did not need much more than some cosmetic touching up. A good find, especially as we had been, read that as she had been, looking at furniture stores and on-line. Prices were in the $3000 - 4000 range and here was a great table with chairs for under $1000. Good job, honey. And then there were two recliners, Lay-Z-Boy, hardly used. And in the colors that would go with our window coverings. You know where that sales point came from as I had a guy's general idea as to what kinda red window coverings we had so had to take her eagle eye woman's wondrous eye for colors and textures as truth. Amazing as when those recliners, at under $500 each came home, those chairs perfectly matched the drapes. Yes, truly amazing. Store also arranged for delivery for $150, using a tried and true delivery service that they regularly send business to. Very good deal and helpful staff. If you are looking for furnishings, this a a great place to visit. And we are consigning the two-seater wicker chair that is the last item of "old" sun room furniture to go. This consignment/antique store was just okay for me. The store itself is very pretty, and everything is displayed very nicely. But the prices are a bit much for most of the items. It is still a good store to browse and get ideas for your own place. It is filled with more upscale items rather than the normal mish-mosh of a common antique/consignment store, and I found it much easier to shop because of the way everything was displayed. If you are a true antique-er who loves to scour and find beat up old items to fix as new again, this is not your place. But if you are someone who can appreciate expensive things and doesn't mind the "gently used" items, while still acheiving an up-to-date look then it is worth the stop. read more

Such hypocrisy! There are huge signs on the door saying masks are required for entering. I went in with my mask ( as is my custom, especially as it is now LAW in NC). Everyone had masks EXCEPT the owners! I asked the owner and he was rude and he showed me the door. The female owner also no mask. Their employees had their masks. I love going to consignment stores and seeing what kind of deals I can get. Consignments on park may not be the largest consignment shop in town but its hands down the best consignment shop in Charlotte. I have been shopping at this store regularly for about 5years now and the quality of the merchandise they have on hand is unmatched with brands like Bassett, Thomasville, Ethan Allen, Hancock and Moore you cannot go wrong here. The prices are always great you can get beautiful custom pieces that look almost brand new for 50% or below the retail value! They have a good mix of large furniture pieces as well as smaller home decor items! Being a regular shopper I have come to know the owners of this store they are wonderful! The truly take pride in what they do and it shows in how the business is presented. With a great staff that is knowledgeable and always displays the kind of customer service all businesses should have I will have to say I will be back for many of years to come! I've shopped here a few times in hopes of finding something, but it's always difficult to get help from any of the sales representatives. While standing in line at the desk, waiting for assistance, I've overheard the store personnel be ugly to other customers (I'm guessing they were consignors based on the "that's our policy / didn't you read your contract?" and "If you don't like it, complain to the owner" type comments) I won't care to be treated that way, and frankly it's just easier to take my business elsewhere where the people are nicer. It's no wonder they have a jar next to the cash register that says "Ashes of Dissatisfied Customers." read more

First of all, they are nice people, have a great store, and have ALWAYS treated me fairly and with respect, and for me, that goes a long way. I never feel pressured, yet someone is always available to answer any questions if I have them... I appreciate that! Their inventory always changes, so I always seem to find new things every time I'm there. I appreciate their motto, they treat the store as business, not a trade store. They don't barter with pricing, and as a consigner, I know that they are looking out for me too! As a shopper, simply put, their prices are always fair. They have been doing this for a long time and clearly know the market, so I trust the prices and have never had any problems with them. They do things the right way! people please beware! highly egregiously rude to all customers in this overpriced discriminating store! purchased exercise machine via phone order from viewing one month prior. Upon pick-up discovered they had lied and hid the fact that it was broken cracked down the side while displayed on floor after we had viewed it! We immediately showed the owner the on floor damage of scuffing, completely cracked down the side, and even left mud on the pedals! She adamantly refused to refund! we left item on property and disputed the charge on our visa! THANK GOD IT WAS A PHONE ORDER OR THEY WOULD HAVE STOLEN OUR MONEY! all 1 star reviews on this store are 100% accurate! the owner is a vile, vicious, self centered women that cares only about herself and not her customers! I dropped off approximately 50 items in August and received one five dollar check and was told almost all of my items sold. When I asked to come pick up the items they tell me they had been donated to a charity so I asked what charity they were donated to him and contacted the charity to see if my items were donated and they said no. When I contacted the store to tell them I wanted to come pick up the items I know they were not donated all of a sudden now they have them, the owner stated the charity brought them back to them. The owner, Donna, is snippy and rude. She will tell you that she will sell your item for a price and then actually ask more for it in store, therefore your contract amount is not correct and she will try to make more money off of you. She will get angry when you confront her about it. This happened to me today and she told me if I ever came into her store again she would call the police. Too funny! I have lived in Charlotte for 21 years and am very frugal when it comes to furnishings, so I USED to love going to the consignment shop (used to be Consignment 1st......now I know why he has lost his franchise with them....but I digress) in Pineville. Courteous personel, always willing to pick up or deliver items. Always willing to negotiate on price and make a fair deal.......NOT ANYMORE! I went in one day, inquried about 4 parsons chairs and was told their was a price for all 4. No other tag on any of the 4 chairs. I paid for them, told them I could get 2 home in my car that day and then I would come back for the other 2! When I returned the next day, the owner said, oh, my employee was wrong, you can't take the other 2 or you will have to pay for them. I regretted to inform him, that good customer service would intail standing behind his employees and eat the cost and that would be his cost of doing business. If he would have done so, I would have returned and purchased again, many times over, even if it was a different name on the door. My mom and I decided to visit this shop for the first time today. My mom had major ankle surgery, so she walks slowly with a cane. As we were shopping, the employee comes up behind us saying that somebody is bringing in a table to place, and we need to get out of the way. So we moved out of the way. The table went by, and we backtracked to where we were looking before we moved. This same employee continued to flutter around us and saying incredibly rude things to us such as, "Well, we're in a traffic jam" and other incredibly careless comments. She wouldn't shut up. No matter where we walked, tried to get out of her way, she would come up behind us and say rude things because my mom walked slowly from her surgery!!! Finally, my mom said, "Let's just leave." We did, and then my mom cried when she got to the car. So that's our impression of your store. You are rude and extremely inconsiderate of those with disabilities. We definitely got out of the way when people were moving furniture in, but then to keep hovering around us and saying such rude things, that was enough. I will never step foot in this store again, and I will definitely spread the word about how you treat your customers. I have shopped at Consignments on Park (Consignment 1st) for years. Donna, Richard, and their staff, have always been very professional and accommodating. For whatever I am looking for, Consignments on Park has always shown me the items that most fit my shopping needs and helped me with ideas. We recently bought a repurposed table they had purchased in Atlanta for our beach condo. As soon as we walked in the door and told them what we needed, they knew exactly what they had in stock that would fit the bill. They then found chairs and mirrors, as well as other pieces that complimented the table for our beach condo. They have done this for us for years. I would recommend Consignments on Park to anyone. Oh, by the way, Consignments on Park did not lose their franchise-they had fulfilled their obligation to the Consignment 1st franchise. Donna and Rich have learned enough and have been successful enough to be confident enough to go it on their own. My husband and I stumbled on Consignments on Park a couple years ago. We purchased a beautiful Broyhill oak bedroom suit for our guest room and in turn consigned the furniture it replaced. We were so thrilled with our purchase we began visiting the store more frequently. We later found a Swedish entertainment center and several accessories that now fill our TV room. I have vowed to never buy new again! You can't beat their prices and the staff is wonderful! They were also able to sell all four pieces of my used bedroom furniture for more than what I expected.
