I just walked into this location, to purchase 4 dining chairs. I figured going into this place I was going to drop a pretty penny but that was something we had budgeted for. Can I tell you that I was in that store for 15 mins waiting for someone to help me, there was maybe 8 customers and 3 associates and not one greeted or even acknowledged me. No, there were not assisting anyone, they were just hanging around at the register. I, in fact, walked over to an associate to ask a question and she, in a very dry manner, responded yes and walked away. I was very underwhelmed. I stopped in to look for bar stools. The bar stools were around $500 a piece.... I'd expect that from a high-end retail store but not from an outlet. I also picked up a small bowl (smaller than a cereal bowl) and it was $129. I was stunned. A standard decorative pillow was priced at $299. The store is jam packed with items, many of which are damaged but still quite expensive. The fact that this is an outlet store is evident from the parking lot, location, condition of items, and lack of knowledge from the staff .... the only thing that doesn't reflect the fact that this is an outlet store is the prices! The back of the store was in complete disarray, and you literally could not even walk down the aisles because they were packed to the max. read more

My wife and I had the awful experience at this store when my wife made a purchase of over $100 and asked for a bag to Cary the merchandise in since it was big and bulky but the cashier woman refused to give her one with the excuse of running out of bags however we noticed that customers that checked out behind us in line all got bags and the only explanation that my wife had an accent and the cashier is a racist and when I went back and insisted on getting a bag she had no choice but to give me one Managers at this location should really scan their employees before hiring them needless to say we're not going back to that location read more

Front gate outlet is quite a drive for me. So I made a special trip, among other things, I picked up a $50 box of wine glasses that were in a big pile, and packaged in plain cardboard boxes with an image of a wineglass. I did not even consider that the colors were different. By mistake ( a very innocent mistake) I grabbed the wrong color ( amber ) not knowing! Very opposite of the beautiful silver color needed. So, living out of town it was late getting home. I realized that evening, after opening the card board box the mistake I had made, as the boxes are not clearly marked. So, first thing next morning, I called and spoke to Adam, the store manager, as soon as the store opened. I told Adam of my mistake and ask if I could drive down and switch for the color I intended to get. shockingly and sadly Adam told me NO. Instead, Adam tried to up-sale me. Adam ask me to drive in and buy another set and just gift my mistake. I wasn't ready to be up sold, Adam. The right thing for Adam to do, would have been to allow me to grab the correct color. Adam there are very innocent mistakes that folks make and I believe you could have easily let me grab the correct cardboard box of wine glasses. I know Adam, don't even bother to say it... " I don't make the policies" But hey... we reap what we sew and soon I'm sure that you too, will make an innocent mistake and pay a price. What in the world has happened to customer service! Definitely don't waste a trip. Could you potentially maybe find one thing for a good value if you come every single day to scope everything out? Maybe. There is a coffee table online for $1,600 I saw that I wanted. If I found it for 50% off in the outlet, that would be a good deal. However, at the outlet it was priced at $2,100 and 50% off. It's only a tad more expensive on the website to get it brand new, when the one at the outlet was beat up and cracked. I mean some of the stuff in there was bad bad. To start I have been to this location 2 or 3 times to look around. Everything they have is beautiful. I have seen many things I have wanted for my home. Yesterday I went in to look one more time at some barstools I had seen a week earlier. I was met with a warm smile from Angie who greeted me when I came into the show room. I showed her what I had come to look at and she immediately offered to get a measuring tape so I would have an idea of the dimensions. She had me take some photos while she did this and I told her I thought I would be back that evening to purchase them; however rush-hour traffic prevented this. So today I went back in and met Beth who smiled and welcomed me into the store. They had several of the same style I wanted and Beth helped me select 2 of them even pulling down a few for us to look at. Before we went to check out I mentioned I was also looking for something to use as a Tennis Shoe rack. (And I will just go ahead and say, A Fancy Tennis Shoe Rack). She walked me right to it! BOOM! I was sold. As I was checking out I met Sandra who was a delight. I made 2 trips home which worked out, as Beth could take her time wrapping the glass shelves up so that they would not be damaged on the second trip home. She was Meticulous! Then I met Adam who assisted myself and Beth getting things into my car. Before I pulled away curbside Beth thanked me so much for my business and even gave me a big hug telling me she looked forward to seeing me again soon. What a lovely experience! The audacity!!! The ticket price on the most unattractive furniture is ridiculous. Honestly... The inventory looks as it came from Costco.

Don't waste your time. A lot of the merchandise is pretty beat up and the customer service is nonexistent. I was ready to purchase 4 stools that were in decent shape for our kitchen island. When I inquired about delivery I was handed a business card for an outside mover and told I had to coordinate with them, then the clerk walked away. Fine. I tried calling the mover and got voicemail because apparently he was talking with a store employee about a problem with another (Frontgate Outlet) customer's delivery/order. I asked Jordan at least that was the name tatooed on his arm (no nametag) who was talking with the mover to pass the phone over when he was done and he rudely growled at me that I would have to call him from my own phone. Okay, well I couldn't do that because he was on the phone with the guy. I did leave a voicemail to inquire about outside delivery but Garrett Movers never bothered to call me back. (Oh and if the rude directive to use my own phone to arrange delivery was a Covid thing, rude Jordan wasn't even wearing his mask correctly). In addition to my failed attempt to purchase the stools, when my husband tried inquiring about another item it was clear his inquiry was a nuisance and the staff preferred to chat among themselves rather than help customers. Save yourself the time and headache to shop for subpar merchandise and go somewhere else where they want your business. I am ready to completely outfit a new large home but I will go out of my way to avoid anything Frontgate, outlet and regular retail. read more

After spending thousands at this store, I received a $50.00 gift card from Frontgate. I was unaware that it expired November 1, 2020 so I tried to use it today and was told that it was expired and nothing could be done. I call customer service and they told me each individual store could still honor it but corporate could do nothing about it. So this outlet said NO. There was nothing they could do about it. I think in the current climate of Covid that an expiration date could be extended to the end of the month it expired in. This was the first day that I left my house to do any other shopping other than food. This is no way to help a customer or keep one. I will not be back again read more

I'm not sure how this is an outlet. They are selling damaged floor merchandise for the same price as if it was new. They claim the that the discount compensates for the damage. Be aware, some prices are higher at this store than they are brand new from the catalog. Unhelpful, unfriendly staff. The store is a mess. Very disappointing and seems like a scam. read more

We've been to this location several times and purchased different items- bar stools, artwork, flowers, rug. This week we purchased a bar hutch which we love, the purchasing process was terrible. The staff is non engaging, when you ask them for help, or questions about their items, they were rude and indifferent. When I asked for help w packaging- "we don't have wrapping material" which was not the same experience we've had on multiple occasions, very helpful to wrap and load in car. I've never experienced 3 people in retails sales that could absolutely care less if we were in the store, bought anything, I felt ignored and uninvited to spend $1200 on Chest and sheets. We really second guessing the ours he's simply due to the buying experience. Even worse , The sheets when I washed completed unraveled in the back... not the quality I would expect. Overall, the old manager and her staff made it an enjoyable shopping experience bc she cared- about the store, her employees and most about her customers. This outlet was a waste of our time. There are many damaged items - everything is extremely overpriced.

Frontgate makes some good products, but they did Charlotte a huge disservice by getting rid of the regular retail store....where I spent a lot of money over the past 8 or so years, and replacing it with this so-called outlet. Most is the items in this outlet are pretty beaten up, and they make a huge deal over a 50 percent savings. Guess what? You can very frequently find all the new stuff in their website for a 30 savings. Some items are so damaged, they should be sold at a 90 percent discount. I received a coupon for 60 percent off one item at the outlet, then was told I couldn't use it because the item I wanted was not damaged and was still available on their website. I'm assuming this is what they refer to as a "prime" item? The coupon was NOT clear on what exemptions applied. All that said, even though I pointed out that the item I wanted was actually DISCONTINUED, they refused to help me. Only offering a 25 percent discount on a DISCONTINUED item. Why would I do that when I can buy a current product for 30 percent off on their website? The item I wanted didn't even match what I already had...but I was willing to settle for 60 percent off. All that said, this is not what most people would consider an outlet that sells items at a fair price. (In my opinion). read more
